(KRYSTAL'S POV)
The room is still warm with leftover heat, the kind that settles into the sheets and refuses to leave. My body feels heavy but weirdly light at the same time. Like every bone has melted. I'm lying on my side, facing Val with our legs tangled together. His hand traces a slow path up and down my spine, barely there, almost teasing, and every pass sends a tiny shiver across my skin.
We don't speak at first. We just stare at each other, breathing in the same quiet air like we're both waiting for the moment to break but neither of us wants to be the one to ruin it.
His thumb drags along the curve of my back and he finally asks, "Did you enjoy it?"
A smile tugs at my lips before I even think about it. I let out a tiny laugh. "Yeah. It was amazing." I pause, correcting myself. "Actually, no. Calling it amazing is an understatement."
He laughs under his breath. "Good. I'm glad you loved it."
