Chapter 29: Diana's Pie Revenge
Diana had discovered Jenna's culinary fiasco and decided to retaliate — in a "harmless" way. At a family dinner, she swapped Jenna's dessert tray with a batch of extremely spicy pies.
Jenna, unaware, served the pies proudly. The first bite caused Richard's face to turn beet-red. He sputtered, gasping for water. Laila, watching secretly from the sidelines, nearly fell off her chair laughing.
Jenna panicked. "I didn't—"
Diana smirked from across the table. "Oh, you did everything perfectly… except taste-testing," she said innocently.
Richard, between coughs and laughter, shot Diana a deadly glare. "You're going to regret this."
Jenna tried to comfort him, holding his hand. The absurdity of the situation melted some of the tension in the room. Even Diana couldn't suppress a laugh at the ridiculous chaos she had engineered.
