"Hidden Shadow Snake Hands!"
Orochimaru's pale fingers struck the ground, and in an instant, a sea of venomous snakes burst forth—countless serpents writhing and hissing, surging toward Hidan like a living tide.
"Still with the same boring tricks?"
Hidan sighed lazily, forming a single-hand seal as chakra flared around him.
"Fire Release: Majestic Destroyer Flame!"
Fwoooosh—!!
A raging wall of fire roared out, devouring the oncoming serpents in an instant. The smell of scorched scales filled the air as the flames swept through the forest, igniting trees and consuming everything in sight. The temperature soared, warping the air itself into a shimmering haze.
"Exploding Snake Wrist Technique!"
Taking advantage of the inferno, Orochimaru's sharp eyes caught the brief moment Hidan lowered his guard. He slammed his palms together—two enormous serpents erupted from beneath the ground, thick as water tanks, and wrapped tightly around Hidan's body.
"Boom!!"
The snakes detonated violently, the explosion shaking the ground and kicking up a storm of dust and shattered stone.
But Orochimaru didn't look satisfied—only irritated.
"Damn it… what kind of jutsu is this?" he hissed, frowning.
Because even after that massive blast, Hidan was still standing there—completely untouched. Not even his cloak had a speck of dust on it. The smoke passed through him like he wasn't even part of this world.
That was the power of Kamui—the ability to freely phase between dimensions. Once limited to five minutes, Hidan's Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan had long since removed that restriction. He could now phase in and out of reality at will.
Still, Hidan rarely used the ability in combat. He preferred fighting head-on.
He only used it now because—well—he hated snakes. And more importantly, he hated getting his clothes dirty.
"Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique!"
Orochimaru slammed his hands together again. A massive wave crashed through the burning forest, dousing the flames. Steam burst into the air, shrouding the battlefield in a dense white fog.
The temperature dropped sharply, and visibility plummeted.
Perfect cover for Orochimaru—he smiled thinly.
But he forgot one thing: the Sharingan sees chakra.
And Orochimaru's chakra was so dense, it was like a bonfire in the night.
"Tch… hiding again, huh?" Hidan muttered, clearly annoyed. He could track Orochimaru's chakra movements, but he didn't like fighting blind. "Should've learned some damn Wind Release while I had the chance…"
Then his smirk returned.
"…Wait. Who needs that?"
"Kamui."
The tomoe of his left eye spun wildly. Space rippled—and a massive vortex formed in front of him, sucking in everything around it. The fog, the trees, even the soil itself were ripped from the ground and swallowed whole.
In mere seconds, the entire forest had turned into a barren wasteland.
Orochimaru's eyes gleamed with manic fascination.
"Magnificent… so this is the power of the Mangekyō Sharingan!" he whispered, trembling slightly. "Such beautiful destruction…"
His greed began to outweigh his reason. He decided then—this power was worth any risk. Even if he had to use his trump card.
But Hidan had already lost interest.
"Kamui."
"Ghhh—!!"
Orochimaru let out a piercing scream as the very space around him began to twist and collapse against his body. In an instant, bones shattered, flesh tore apart, and the sound of crushing echoed through the air.
But soon, a smile crept back onto his face.
"So this… is the legendary technique that distort space? Impressive. But…"
His mouth unhinged like a serpent's jaw, and from within, a new Orochimaru slithered out—slick with mucus, reborn and grinning.
"…it won't work on me."
Hidan pinched the bridge of his nose. "Right. Forgot you could shed like a damn snake. Ugh, gross…"
His expression twisted in disgust as he watched Orochimaru's slime-coated new body emerge.
"Seriously, that's just… revolting."
Orochimaru ignored the comment, his grin widening as he bit his thumb.
"Summoning Jutsu: Edo Tensei!"
Three coffins rose slowly from the ground, their lids cracking open. Sweat ran down Orochimaru's forehead—this technique took a toll, even on him. But it didn't matter.
Because once these three were revived… victory was assured.
Hidan's gaze sharpened.
He could feel the chakra radiating from within the coffins—dense, ancient, terrifying.
On one of them, a single kanji was carved: 「初」 — First.
Hidan's eye twitched slightly.
"...The First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, huh?" he murmured.
Even for him, this wasn't something to take lightly. Hashirama had once fought Madara—Madara with Eternal Mangekyō and the Nine-Tails at his side and won.
Hidan wasn't arrogant enough to think he had surpassed that level—but he did have one massive edge.
His Kamui could make Hashirama's devastating jutsu completely useless, and when paired with his immortal body and the Curse Technique: Death Controlling Possessed Blood, it created a combination that was outright unfair.
In short, he out-haxed Hashirama badly.
But unfortunately this was Edo Hashirama and not the prime Hashirama.
Purple chakra flared around Hidan's body, bones forming from it—a massive skeletal frame taking shape, pulsing with power as ethereal veins connected and reinforced the structure.
The Susanoo's hollow eyes opened, glowing with burning light.
"This… what is this power?!"
Orochimaru's voice trembled as he stared up at the towering giant before him. He could feel it—an overwhelming wave of chakra that radiated cold, malevolent intent.
That giant wasn't made of flesh and blood, but pure chakra—so dense and refined that even someone like Orochimaru couldn't comprehend it.
"Could this truly be the hidden power of the Uchiha…?" he whispered, awe and obsession flickering in his yellow eyes.
High above, within the crystalline forehead of the complete-body Susanoo, Hidan stood with his arms crossed, his expression cold and detached.
He wasn't paying Orochimaru any mind.
His focus was on the coffin in front of him—on the one true opponent he had come here for.
In the shadows nearby, Danzo Shimura had been watching the entire battle unfold. His face was pale, his single visible eye wide with shock.
He, more than anyone, knew the power of the Sharingan.
He'd studied it, stolen it, even grafted it into his own arm.
But this?
This was beyond comprehension.
The lilac giant towered between heaven and earth, wings unfurling like those of a wrathful deity. Just standing there, motionless, it radiated pressure so intense that even a veteran like Danzo felt his knees weaken.
Then—
Clack.
The first coffin lid slid open, followed by the second… and the third.
Two figures emerged, their bodies covered in faint cracks like porcelain: The First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, and The Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju.
As for the third coffin—it contained only a corpse from Konoha's cemetery and a pile of white paper seals.
Hashirama's and Tobirama's dull eyes fluttered open, confusion flickering across their faces.
"Damn… the Fourth Hokage's summoning failed?" Orochimaru muttered, annoyance tightening his voice. He had used all his strength to summon three of the most powerful shinobi in history—yet one had failed.
But then his smirk returned. "No matter. The First and Second Hokage alone should be more than enough."
He pressed talisman seals into their chests, completing the summoning process.
"Where… are we?" Hashirama spoke first, his tone calm but heavy with confusion.
Orochimaru hadn't yet activated full control, so their minds were still their own, though their bodies remained stiff and bound.
"This chakra… this body…" Tobirama murmured, lowering his gaze to his reanimated arms. "So this is Edo Tensei."
Hashirama sighed sharply. "I told you not to pursue this technique! It defiles the dead!"
"Brother…" Tobirama muttered under his breath, rolling his eyes.
Orochimaru interrupted, his tone sharp. "Save the family lecture for later, Lord First. Lord Second. There's a powerful enemy before us—and I'll need your help to deal with him."
Both brothers turned.
And when Hashirama's gaze fell upon the towering Susanoo—the giant warrior with wings of chakra and a single glowing crystal eye—his expression froze.
"…Madara?" he whispered.
But then he shook his head. "No… this chakra feels different. Another Uchiha?"
For the first time in decades, the God of Shinobi felt genuine surprise.
Beside him, Tobirama's face darkened instantly. "Hmph. I knew it. The Uchiha clan continues to breed monsters. You should've wiped them out completely, brother."
The venom in his tone was unmistakable.
Orochimaru ignored their exchange, smirking faintly as he formed a hand sign.
"Enough talk. Kill him."
The light in the Senju brothers' eyes dimmed—the talismans flared—and in an instant, their movements became mechanical, lifeless, focused solely on destruction.
Hidan exhaled through his nose. "So that's how it is…"
He looked at them not with fear, but mild disappointment.
"Wood Release: Deep Forest Emergence!"
Hashirama slammed his palms together, and the earth erupted. Massive trees surged from the barren wasteland, their roots coiling around Susanoo's legs, trying to hold it down.
Beside him, Tobirama formed a seal. "Water Release: Water Severing Wave!"
Thousands of water needles shot forward, piercing Susanoo's body like a storm of bullets.
Clink. Clink. Clink!
Not one scratch.
Inside the crystal, Hidan smiled faintly.
"Is that it? The legendary Senju brothers?"
He raised his hand, his Eternal Mangekyo eyes spinning. "Pathetic."
"Kotoamatsukami."
The Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan glowed with blinding light.
For a moment, the world went still—then both reanimated Hokage froze in place, their eyes flickering with distorted light.
Even gods could be deceived when bound by half-finished jutsu. And these weren't the full versions of the Senju brothers—only fragments of their souls, limited by Orochimaru's crude control.
