"I… I am sorry."
Alex looked at the beautiful woman bowing before him in a perfect dogeza. He was speechless.
"Are you really a… Goddess?" he wondered aloud.
The woman—no, the goddess—lifted her head. Despite her divine presence, she looked like an overgrown loli, petite and radiant, her expression calm and gentle.
"I am," she said with a smile that could melt the sky itself. Her voice was soft, yet carried power that made Alex's heart tremble.
"So… you were saying you accidentally killed me?" Alex asked, still trying to process everything.
"Yes," the goddess replied proudly, her tone completely unbothered.
"Then why am I even here? Or are you some sort of regretful higher being trying to make up for it?"Alex sighed, rubbing his temples. Even just looking at her, he could tell she was a careless brat—too carefree, like the mischievous kids he sometimes met during his part-time jobs.
"I see you're quite straightforward," the goddess said, amused. "Since I can't send you back to your previous world—as you've already died and, well, been cremated—I'll do the next best thing."
She snapped her fingers. Light flared around them, and three glowing gachapon machines appeared in midair.
"I will leave your fate in your own hands," she said with a knowing nod, as if she was doing something profound.
Alex stared at the spinning machines, dumbfounded.'Seriously? Even in the afterlife, I can't escape gacha?!' he groaned inwardly.
"The first one," she explained, pointing to the gray machine, "will decide what kind of world you'll go to."She moved to the silver one. "The second will determine your origin—your race and birth."Then she gestured at the last one, a prismatic machine swirling with countless colors. "And the last… will decide your cheat ability."
Alex looked at all three glowing contraptions and sighed. "Well, here goes nothing."
Without hesitation, he slammed all three levers at once."Just reincarnate me with whatever I got," he said, turning away before even checking the results.
The goddess blinked, then chuckled softly. She already knew his type—hopeless gacha addict. With a wave of her hand, the three glowing orbs that popped out of the machines shot into Alex's chest.
"Best of luck," she said with a mischievous grin as the light swallowed him whole.
When Alex opened his eyes, he was lying on a soft patch of grass beneath a violet sky. The air smelled fresh, and distant mountains shimmered like crystal.
"What is this place…?" he muttered, sitting up.
In the distance, a massive bird soared over what looked like a floating village built into a cliffside."Well, at least it is a fantasy world," he mumbled, brushing the dirt off his clothes. "So… I got the 'Fantasy World' gacha, huh? " Alex mumbled as he smiled " good, thankfully, it was not modern or ancient world."
And then suddenly many memories rushed in his mind, he understood, he was born and only recalled his last life when he was of age 16, the age at which each human in this world bond with an beast and become Awakened.
"So, from the Origin Gacha I got…Human race with orphan origin, which leaves the last one—the cheat Gacha."
He looked around and called out, half-joking, "Hey, my cheat, where are you?"
A blue window suddenly appeared in front of him, glowing softly.

Alex smiled as the glowing screens faded away. "Thank you, Goddess of Gacha," he said softly, bowing toward the sky.
She might have been the reason he died, true—but she was also the one who had given him this second life. Whatever awaited him in this strange, magical world, he didn't know. But for the first time in a long while… he felt excited to find out.
"not to mention the Eternal Health, it is the best one here."
According to his memories, he returned to his village—Hanging Cloud Village, so named because it was built along the side of a towering cliff, always shrouded in drifting mist. Strangely enough, it had never once fallen or collapsed, though no one knew why.
The Alex with memory sealed hadn't cared enough to find out, and even now, he had no plans to. He was, after all, still a shut-in otaku at heart—he knew how these kinds of "peaceful beginner villages" worked. There was always a chance some hidden boss or secret event was lurking nearby.
But for now, he decided not to overthink it. Tomorrow's adventure could wait. And Most importanatly he is weak as ant, with no desire to go and court death.
He returned home—a modest house his parents had left behind for him. They had died years ago in a monster attack, when he was just ten. The house was now in his name, along with a small inheritance that was just enough to cover his living expenses. The village also funded his schooling, so he never struggled too much.
Yes, even in this world, there were schools—though they were different from the ones he remembered. Here, education didn't just teach reading and writing; it also prepared students for the path of Seekers—people who ventured beyond the safety of their villages, growing stronger alongside their partners and exploring the unknown.
Alex, despite his usual laziness, had already registered as a Seeker apprentice. Tomorrow, he was supposed to attend the Awakening Ceremony—the first step to officially becoming one.
