The woman named Elina smiled wickedly, madness gleaming in her eyes.
At the same time, Alicia, whose emotions were now completely consumed by the shadow within her, was in no better state. It was now a contest to see whose darkness was stronger!
In the next moment, both Alicia and Elina raised their Duel Disks and inserted their Decks.

Alicia's lifeless eyes glanced at her Duel Disk before she raised her hand. "My turn! I draw!!"
After scanning her hand, Alicia immediately played a card without a shred of doubt, "I Normal Summon Elemental HERO Prisma!"
The crystal-bodied hero, shining in hues of blue, purple, and green, gleamed within the Shadow Zone—only for that light to be swallowed by darkness. In an instant, the once-LIGHT Prisma had become a "DARK" monster.

"I activate Prisma's effect! Once per turn, I can reveal a Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck, then send one of its listed Fusion Material monsters from my Deck to the Graveyard. Until the End Phase, this card's name becomes the same as that monster's."
Alicia drew a card from her Extra Deck and revealed it. "I choose to reveal Elemental HERO Flame Wingman, then send Elemental HERO Avian from my Deck to the Graveyard. Until the end of this turn, Prisma is treated as Avian. Prism Reflection!"
A burst of black light flared, and within Prisma's crystalline body appeared the image of Avian himself.
Alicia then played another card. "I activate the Spell Card Polymerization! I fuse Prisma, treated as Avian, with Elemental HERO Burstinatrix from my hand!"
A swirling vortex of darkness formed above them—far blacker than before. The darkened Prisma and the Burstinatrix tainted by shadow flew into the vortex together.
"Fusion Summon! The hero who stands atop the skyscraper, answer my call—Elemental HERO Flame Wingman!"
From the vortex of darkness, the corrupted Flame Wingman descended, his presence far more intense than ever before.

"Starting off by summoning your ace monster, huh? And Prisma too… that's a rare card among HERO decks," Elina said, licking her dry lips as her grin deepened. "Kouhai, you've really struck gold there."
Alicia, shrouded in darkness, ignored her words and set two cards. "I Set two cards and end my turn!"
Elina's smile widened as she eyed the shadow-burning Flame Wingman. "A dark hero, huh? I must say, he looks quite handsome. Regardless, if his power is still the same as before, that won't mean much! My turn! I draw!"
She glanced at the card she drew, and her grin twisted with greater madness.
"I activate the effect of Fluffal Bear in my hand! By sending this card from my hand to the Graveyard, I can Set one Toy Vendor from my Deck to my Spell & Trap Zone!"
The pink teddy bear spirit with angel wings and a red ribbon appeared on her field. Normally, Alicia would have adored such a cute monster; however, now, her eyes were devoid of emotion.
Elina continued, "I send Bear to the Graveyard, then Set the Continuous Spell Toy Vendor from my Deck to my Spell & Trap Zone! Then, I activate Toy Vendor!"
A massive frog-shaped gacha machine appeared behind Elina. She drew another card and declared, "Once per turn, by discarding one card, I can draw one card and reveal it. If it's a Fluffal monster, I can Special Summon one monster from my hand. If not, I discard the drawn card. I discard one card to activate the effect—draw!!"
She looked at the card and laughed louder. "Thank you, my toys! I drew Fluffal Owl! Thanks to Toy Vendor's effect, I Special Summon Fluffal Owl!"
Chuu!!
A cute owl plushie appeared on Elina's field, completely out of place in the dark surroundings.

"Now, Owl's effect activates! When it's Normal or Special Summoned, I can add one Polymerization from my Deck to my hand!"
Watching the owl, Yuui's lips pursed before he turned toward Alicia. "Alicia, this monster's second effect is dangerous. Destroy it now!"
Alicia's empty eyes glanced at him, and after a moment of silence, she obeyed.
"I activate my Set card—Trap Card, HERO Blast! I target one Normal Elemental HERO monster in my Graveyard, add it to my hand, then destroy one of your monsters with ATK less than or equal to that monster's ATK. I choose Elemental HERO Burstinatrix!"
A card slid out from Alicia's Graveyard, and she revealed Burstinatrix. "HERO Blast's effect! I destroy your Fluffal Owl!"
The fiery silhouette of Burstinatrix emerged, launching a fireball that obliterated the owl mid-effect.
Elina, however, wasn't angry. Instead, she licked her lips again with a sultry smile. "So fiery, kouhai! I really like that temper of yours!"
Alicia glared, the X-shaped brand on her forehead glowing more intensely.
Unafraid, Elina continued. "Owl's effect still activates! I add one Polymerization from my Deck to my hand! Then, I Normal Summon Edge Imp Saw!"
A demonic buzzsaw creature appeared on her field, its blade roaring like an engine.

"I activate Edge Imp Saw's effect! When it's Normal Summoned, I can send one Fluffal monster from my hand to the Graveyard to draw two cards, then return one card from my hand to the top or bottom of my Deck. I send Fluffal Leo from my hand to the Graveyard and draw two cards!"
Elina drew two new cards, her advantage growing rapidly. After examining them, she smirked and returned one card to the top of her Deck.
"Next, I activate the Spell Card Polymerization! I fuse Edge Imp Saw on my field with Fluffal Cat from my hand! The Fusion Materials are Edge Imp Saw and a Fluffal monster!"
The vortex of darkness returned once more, pulling in the roaring saw demon and the angel-winged purple cat plushie.
"Steel fangs of the demon, unite with the beast's claws to become one! Show your new power and form! Fusion Summon—Mad King of Slaughter, Frightfur Leo!!"
From the darkness, the once-cute toy cat swelled and split apart. Its paws transformed into spinning saw-blades, its torso replaced by a giant buzzsaw, and its sweet feline face tore open into a monstrous, mechanical lion's maw.
From angel to demon, from toy to weapon—Elina's inner monstrosity had taken form.
"Frightfur Leo, appear!"
