The sky had a few stars in it tonight and as Hudson looked up he noticed the top of the dome opening.
" You're staring into space like you wanna go out there, dude." Kaito said , trying to get Hudson's attention.
" I just can't stand being here." Hudson said , frustratedly.
" Maybe you should read this book." Kaito said, stretching his hand towards Hudson." Then we can start practicing for the Knight Trials."
" I don't want to be apart of the knight trials." Hudson said.
" I want to save Earth and that's the only reason I'm not trying to escape now." The blonde boy added.
A new gate opened in the dome and all the girls walked through it
Hudson looked around but he didn't see Enmei instead he saw Lure walking towards them.
" Kaito !" Lure shouted then she ran towards her cousin.
"Hey , Lure." Kaito said and he hugged her. " I'm so glad you ditched the game ."
" Yea ...also I think the only reason I didn't get caught is because Enmei had a breakdown in the middle of the Zombie trial and got sent to the hall of heart."
" Yea. we saw." Hudson said , angrilly. "I told her to quit but she had to push herself beyond her limits. What's the point of having a best friend if you wont listen to them? "
" Hudson!" Enmei's voice ripped through the air as she ran towards the trio.
"I'd say ' speak of the devil' but that name's reserved for Eros." Hudson said then he walked away from Lure and Kaito to go greet Enmei.
"Hey Enmei. How was the Hall of Hearts. Did you have fun with Eros ?"
" What ? He wasn't there. Eros is never around these days."
"Well you're fortunate. He literally just told us we will have to fight just so he can find people to protect you guys. I don't want to participate."
" Good. You won't be a good fit." Enmei said and Hudson frowned.
" You're still mad ?" He turned to walk away and Enmei pulled him back.
" Wait. I need to talk to you." She said , her voice quieter and softer than before."
The walked away from the crowd of other kids and stood in a passage way outside of the central battlefield.
The place was windy and there were trees on both side.
"I know you HATE Eros but if you LOVE me then you would want me to rule the world." Enmei said then she sighed.
" I want you to be happy, but you being with Eros is a betrayal. If you keep this up you are betraying yourself , your heart and everything you stand for."
The wind howled and Hudson's eyes looked like street lights in the dark.
The night grew darker and the place was getting chilly.
[ One Hour Until Midnight ]
" Why don't we continue talking in the ballroom ?' Enmei said , she fidgeted with her hands and seemed a bit nervous.
" I didn't know that this place had a ballroom." Hudson said and Enmei pulled him away.
The players gathered in the ballroom reviewing the points that they had accummilated during the game.
KAITO : 800,000 Points
COLE : 900,000 Points
ATARO : 350,000 Points
ORION : 500,000 Points
JACK : 2 MILLION POINTS
HUDSON : 200,000 points
" Who the fuck is Jack ?" Kaito asked and Hudson frowned.
"I can't believe I am failing while having such a great power."
" Someone called my name ? My ears are ringing." A player with fluffy black hair asked in a sin-song voice as he somersaulted towards them.
"You're Jack ?" Kaito asked and then he stared at the man who had a creepy looking smile.
"Yes. Jack OUTSIDE the box." The tall Black haired man said then he smiled broadly.
" How did you manage to get two million points ?" Hudson asked the fluffy haired boy in awe.
The man flipped into the air then fell suddenly with a crack that startled the others. His body bent in a way that didn't seem humanly possible or safe.
" I don't think he's ok. Get him some help quickly." Enmei said and Jack smiled creepily.
" I never bend to fit society." Jack said.
" You're bending right now." The younger boy with the rubix cube, who had just walked up behind him said.
" FUCK ! " Jack made a loud outburst as he slowly stood to his feet.
" I got two million points because I played by my own rules. I killed anything blocking my path and only saved the most necessary players. I bent the rules to fit myself not the other way around." Jack said then he paused for a few seconds.
"FUCK !" Jack made another outburst and Hudson covered his ears.
" Listen Hudson we need to talk.Just have a drink and lets go." Enmei said then she walked off and took up two cups from off the table in the ballroom.
" I really hope this works." She whispered and in a swift motion she took out the potion and poured most of it into the cup she took up fr Hudson then put it away.
She walked back over to Hudson and was about to hand him the drink when an unseen entity batted the cup right out her hand.
" Kaito that wasn't cool." Hudson complained while Enmei looked at the spilled potion in shock.
"Dude that wasn't me." Kaito replied from behind Hudson , fully visible and nowhere near the cup.
Hudson looked around confused.
If that wasn't Kaito then who was it ? Was it possible that the invisible person saving Hudson all this time wasn't Kaito ?
The two friends both stood in silence , each just as confused as the other.
Enmei needed to get Hudson to drink the potion before midnight if she wanted his powers but it was almost midnight and more than half the potion was on the floor.
The fallen cup seemed to levitate suddenly and was then rested back on the table by invisible hands.
