Chapter 11 - The Burning Question

One of our questions had been answered.

The reason they had been able to track us continuously was because of the live cam at the playground..

Who knew what other places live cams would be in?

Suddenly, my mood changed.

Why the hell would someone put live cams in frivolous places and create a website about it?

The world is a crooked place.

Adewale was thinking.

Not just thinking, he seemed to be questioning his life choices.

We all felt that way.

"Is the website still online?" Jumai asked.

Sally shook her head.

"Yes but we can't access it."

"What do you mean by we can't access it?"

"Gaining access to such an outlaw website would require an up-to-date state-of-the-art VPN and likewise an outlaw browser. You can't just type in InstaCam on Google Chrome and expect to be directed to the website."

"So where can we find such a VPN and browser?"

Sally said she was clueless.

I have heard her say that numerous times but it was still quite shocking to hear it.

Tochukwu suddenly grinned.

"Why can't we use Foxify VPN? I see their ad all the time. Let's try them out. They seem legit."

We all glared at him.

He realized what absolute rubbish he had just said and looked embarrassed.

"Now, that we know how and why they are tracking us, let's implement..."

"The note." I said, interrupting Adewale mid-sentence.

Eyebrows raised.

"Why were they so scared of the note?" I asked them as if they had an answer.

They all looked ignorant, including Sally.

I'm not suggesting that she knows

everything or something but I was at least expecting her to come up with some conspiracy theory or something.

You know what I mean.

"Let's do this." Jumai began.

"Do what?"

"I and Sally will analyze, look into previous records and even ask around to understand the meaning of this."

Sally nodded.

There was silence for a while.

"Let's order some food." Adewale finally said.

Great!

I had been starving the whole time.

I remember thinking that I would never understand why people refuse to eat when sad.

For me, it was the exact opposite.

We all ordered some food.

Like I said, I don't really remember what happened in this scene so I don't remember what food we ordered.

A very good looking waiter came to our table.

I was quite envious of the guy.

He was obviously Indian but he had a low taper fade cut and crazy self confidence.

Bro was looking like a sigma.

Looks maxing at its peak

Well, until he opened his mouth.

His butter colored teeth and rancid breath didn't help matters.

Anytime he spoke, it was as though he was farting through his mouth.

Plus, his accent was even crazier.

I'm not trying to abuse the Indian accent or Indians.

In fact, I love Indians. (Especially them

ladies).

But this guy's accent was terrible.

I believe I have roasted him enough anyways so I won't go into detail about his accent.

Lest I forget, he was totally hitting on Sally.

He was smiling, raising eyebrows...OH LORD! SOMEONE SHOULD HIT THIS GUY IN THE NUTS WITH A SLEDGEHAMMER!

She was so disgusted.

Well, as we were eating whatever we were eating, I don't really remember.

I realized that we hadn't spoken about my dream or that guy who looked like Azim.

Then it hit me.

They didn't want to.

After all, it was erratic and I wasn't even sure Sally could explain this one.

It was very weird.

But I was still gonna ask some more questions.

Azim's last text messages floated into my mind.

You have no idea what's coming for us.

Robert Noode.

Who was coming for us?

The seven guys?

I also realized what Azim had said in my dream.

You're not Kazim

What could that mean?

I had to ask.

I would bring that up after they had finished eating..
