Chapter 40— The Stillpoint: Where Infinity Meets Nothing

The multiverse had no edge… until Kairos found it.

He stood in the Stillpoint, a void so silent that even thought seemed to dissolve. The colors of existence bled into gray — time froze, and even gods had no memory of this place. Only Kairos' presence painted the void in gold and violet light, his aura thrumming like the heartbeat of a dying reality.

He whispered,

> "Even infinity bends… if you push hard enough."

The Stillpoint pulsed — a ripple that shattered concepts. Reality winced.

From the endless blank emerged a shadow — no form, no name, no logic. The Void Origin. It was the nothing that existed before everything. Its voice was not sound but erasure.

> "You should not exist, Kairos Zero."

Kairos smiled, half amusement, half challenge.

> "You're not the first to say that. You'll be the last."

He lifted his hand, and with a thought, galaxies formed in his palm — not imagined, but authored. He hurled them like spears, rewriting the vacuum with every flick of his fingers. Yet the Void Origin didn't resist. It absorbed each creation, devouring existence like air.

Then it struck back.

A wave of anti-creation hit Kairos, erasing half his aura. Universes winked out behind him. For the first time in eons, he felt resistance — not weakness, but friction.

His smile widened.

> "Finally… something worth my time."

---

The fight began. Not of punches or beams, but laws clashing. Every swing rewrote metaphysics; every dodge shifted constants of nature. Kairos' shadow alone spawned civilizations, and the shockwaves of his movement birthed new gods trying to comprehend him.

The Void roared again.

> "You are a mistake."

Kairos' laugh shook the Stillpoint itself.

> "I'm not a mistake. I'm the correction."

He compressed his aura — infinite energy folding into a single spark. Then he unleashed The Author's Singularity — a strike so precise it collapsed probability itself.

The Void Origin shattered.

But as it died, it whispered a final phrase:

> "Kill me… and you become me."

The moment froze. Kairos stared into the collapsing infinity — and grinned.

> "Then I'll be the first god who writes the void."

And as the Stillpoint vanished, so did the boundaries of creation. For Kairos Zero had not only defeated the nothing —

He had rewritten it.
