Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 Lingering Heat

At 9 a.m., the elevator accident investigation concluded that—

The main power supply was deliberately cut off, with the IP address traced to within the group.

Lu Tingchen clutched the report, his eyes icy: "Find out who did this. I want them to pay tenfold."

He turned to look at Su Wan, who was creating latte art in the kitchen, his voice barely audible:

"Touch me, fine. Touch her—and you're asking for death."

Su Wan emerged with the coffee, seeing him standing before the floor-to-ceiling window. His silhouette was as cold and sharp as a drawn blade.

She approached and handed him the coffee: "I added sugar. It's not bitter."

He took it, but in the same motion, seized her wrist and pulled her into his embrace. His jaw rested against the hollow of her shoulder as his voice grew hoarse:

"Su Wan, don't ride the elevator alone anymore."

"...Okay."

"And one more thing." He lowered his head, his thin lips brushing her earlobe. "Once you hold me, you have to keep holding me."

Su Wan blushed, yet she reached up and embraced him back.

Sunlight streamed in, casting their overlapping silhouettes like a warm painting.

At noon, Su Wan received a delivery—

A new employee card. Position: 24-Hour Personal Assistant to the CEO (Indefinite Probationary Period)

On the back, the man's handwriting was bold and sweeping:

"Welcome to my world."

She didn't notice the diamond ring sizing guide tucked inside the card's lining, marked size 12.
