Chapter 1 - stories of blinked memories

Warriors Impact Chapter 1 – Stories of Legends

It was a calm summer evening, year 8087, 4:45 p.m.

In his office, a man sat by the window, writing. The gentle hum of songs filled the air .

As the main door opens .

A boy entered, dropping his school bag on the floor with a thud.

"Hey! What did I say about dropping your stuff like that?" his mother called.

"Sorry, Mom! I'm just hungry," the boy replied, already chewing on a sandwich.

"Come on, wash your hands first," she sighed, setting down her shopping bags.

But the boy was already halfway up the stairs. He slipped into his father's office, placing a finger to his lips. "Shhh."

Mom's voice echoed from the hall. "Honey? Hey." She poked her head into the office, kissed her husband on the cheek, and asked, "Have you seen him?"

The man stood, pointing down the hall. "He went that way."

As the woman went,he closes the door , the boy emerged, picking up a piece of paper that had fallen to the floor.

"Papa, what's this?"

The father smiled, lifting him onto his lap. "It's a story, son. The story of a great man."

"Really?"

"Yes. A legend. He sacrificed everything to save us all."

"Wow…"

Before he could continue, the door opened again. "Oh, come on!" the mother said.

"No, Mama, I want to hear the story!" the boy pleaded.

The mother sighed, exchanging a glance with her husband.

"Alright," the father said gently. "Finish your homework first. I promise I'll tell it later."

"Yay! You promise?"

"I promise."

When the boy left, the man stared at the papers on his desk, whispering softly:

"And as we all know for all lengendary stories this one also starts at once upon a time."

Intro — Warriors ImpactPresent Day:, Saturday, 12:35 p.m.

The city roared with life—flying cars humming above, neon signs flashing below, and robot assistants guiding crowds through the streets. Families filled ramen shops, laughter mixing with the sound of engines and chatter.

Then—

BOOM!

A thunderous crash split the air.

A monstrous figure burst through a storefront—a short-headed bull clad in ice armor, its breath freezing everything in its path. Panic erupted. The ground shook as buildings cracked and metal screamed.

A family ducked for cover. The father raised his hands, summoning streams of water from a nearby hydrant to shield them.

The beast howled, slamming into the barrier. Ice shards exploded outward as soldiers scrambled and alarms blared across the district.

Another crash—then silence. Dust rose, covering the city in chaos.

Meanwhile…

In a long, steel corridor, a man walked with firm steps. He adjusted his sleeves, locked his gauntlets in place, and tightened the black mask around his jaw.

The door slid open—

"General Nikashi!" voices called.

He nodded with calm authority and entered the control center.

He tapped a technician's shoulder. "What's the Status report."

"Three short-headed bulls, sir. They broke containment and are rampaging downtown."

"Understood." He turned. "Ema, what's our deployment status?"

"The helicopter is ready, sir," said the assistant. "But—" she hesitated, "—sir, it's Kai."

Nikashi paused, his expression tightening. "Put him through."

The communicator blinked. A familiar voice came through—calm, commanding.

"Nikashi… what's going on? I heard the alarm."

Nikashi straightened, voice firm. "Everything's under control, sir. I'll take care of it personally."

Kai exhaled softly. "You always do. Keep me updated."

"Yes, sir."

He ended the call. "Ema, give me their coordinates. Call Shan, and tell command to cut the alarm system."

"Yes, General."

Nikashi stepped into the waiting helicopter, greeted by the pilot and his squad. The rotors spun, wind sweeping through the hangar as he muttered—

"Let's bring these bulls down to the grills," one of the crew shouted.

The others smirked, laughter filling the helicopter as the rotors sliced through the air.

Elsewhere...

In the training gym, Shan threw another hard punch into a heavy bag. Thud! Thud! Thud!

Sweat dripped down his jaw as he wiped his face with a towel and grabbed a bottle of water.

He glanced at his wristband—three missed calls from Ema.

He froze. His shoulders slumped.

"...Yeah, I'm cooked," he muttered under his breath.

He tapped the call icon. "Hey."

"SHAN, YOU DUMBASS!" Ema's voice blasted through the speakers. "I've been calling you forever!"

Everyone in the gym turned to look. Shan scratched his head awkwardly.

"Uh, sorry. I was doing some cardio exercises," he said with a sheepish grin.

"No excuses. I need you downtown—right now."

"Oh, hold your horses," Shan teased, smirking. "That's no way to ask a guy out on a date."

"Ugh, you stu—" click!

She hung up before he could finish.

Shan chuckled. "Classic Ema."

He grabbed his black jacket, slinging it over his shoulders.

"Come on, Wildy," he called out.

A white and grey  wolf padded up beside him, its eyes glowing blue.

"We've got a jump to do." wildy "barks-"

He leapt onto his hoverboard, Wildy hopping onto his back. The board hummed to life, thrusters lighting up beneath his feet.

"Let's go!" Shan yelled, shooting out of the hangar and into the open sky.

The helicopter landed on the rooftop.Nikashi stepped out, gazing down at the burning town.

The father's knees trembled beneath the crushing pressure; his strength was fading fast. His wife held him tightly.

"We've got this," she whispered, steadying him.

Just then, Shan met Nikashi.

"So what's going on?" Shan asked.

"We're not here for questions," Nikashi replied sharply. "Handle the rescue."

Nikashi leapt off the roof. The family began to collapse under the weight again, but Shan rushed forward, catching the debris in time.

"Go! Go!" he shouted.

The family ran off, shouting their thanks. Shan released the rubble, letting it crash to the ground below.

From afar, a wild howl echoed — Hou Hou, signaling more danger. Shan dashed toward the next site without hesitation.

Meanwhile, Nikashi's team had surrounded the first threat. The other two creatures were still on the run.

"Eliminate the captured one," Nikashi ordered as he sprinted toward the second location.

At the new site, officers were panicking.

"It froze everything! We can't get near it!" one shouted.

Nikashi clenched his jaw.

"You can't be serious — lives are at stake!"

He glanced around, spotted an ice-skating store, and rushed inside. Moments later, he stormed out with a pair of skates.

The ice bull roared, spewing frost from its mouth that sent Nikashi sliding backward. He struck the ground, flames bursting from his palms to melt the ice around him. With his right hand, he shaped ice paths, dashing forward again.

"Team, now!"

One teammate raised a quarter-pipe of ice to redirect Nikashi's movement. Another tossed him a pill. He caught it midair, swallowed it instantly, and tightened his mask.

With a sharp inhale, Nikashi unleashed a blazing fire beam from his mouth — an inferno that tore through the bull's skull.

The monster froze mid-roar before shattering into pieces — ice, steam, and silence filling the air.

Everyone stared at Nikashi, still breathing heavily behind his mask.

One soldier muttered,

"Bro… it took fifteen men to kill that thing."

Another replied,

"Can't you see? He's the general."

Nikashi adjusted his mask just as the third bull roared past, tearing through the streets, smashing everything in its way.

It slammed into Shan, throwing him off balance.

Shan gritted his teeth, holding his head low.

Seeing the nearby civilians screaming, he shouted,

"Wildy! Get them to safety!"

The wolf barked and dashed off, guiding people away. Shan faced the bull again.

It charged, eyes glowing violently.

He dug his feet into the ground, lightning crackling around his leg — liquid lightning — before launching upward and slamming the creature's skull into the ground with a thunderous impact.

The crowd gasped.

Nikashi's voice cut through the smoke.

Nikashi: "Hey! What did I say your role was ?"

Shan: "Are you blind? It—"

Gasps rippled through the soldiers around them.

Nikashi: "What did you just say? Your role was rescue. You weren't ordered to attack. For that act of disobedience, you'll wait until the cleaners arrive and submit a full status report."

Shan turned to walk away. Nikashi grabbed his shoulder.

Nikashi: "Hey, I'm still talking."

Shan brushed his hand off, dusting his shoulder.

Shan: "Don't touch me."

Nikashi: "I don't care if you're stronger than me or anyone else . I'm the general — you need to follow my orders!"

Shan: "I'm not at fault. You're crazy."

Shan stormed off.

Nikashi exhaled, holding his head down "

"Alright, everyone — pack it up."

Nearby, a few soldiers murmured:

"That guy's so rude."

"What do you expect from an ex-con?"

"Ex–what?"

"Yeah. He got out 'cause of his brother's money… after massacring a lot of people."

Shan heard them as he sat by the ruins, waiting for the cleanup team.

Wildy padded over and licked his arm.

Shan: "Yo, boy. You want some bacon?"

Wildy: "Woof–woof!"

Back at the squad, one soldier whispered to Nikashi,

"Bro, what's an ex-con doing with us? This is a military base squad. Won't he… you know… cause trouble?"

Nikashi folded his arms.

"I assure you all — I'll keep my eyes on him."

Viko: "you know,Money can buy freedom… but it can't buy reputation."

Nikashi: "Well said, Viko, well said ."

——————————————————————

Few hours later after . The helicopter left

Shan looks at the wreckage,Shan: "I'll be right back."

He tosses off his jacket, rolls up his sleeves, and starts rearranging the wreckage. Sweat trails down his neck as he lifts broken concrete slabs and bent metal rods, stacking them neatly to clear the area.

A few feet away, Wildy — belly full from his last meal — lazily gnaws on a leftover snack, letting out a satisfied groan.

By the time the cleaner truck pulls up, the entire site already looks half-restored.

Cleaner (man): "¡Hola, muchacho!"

A cheerful Mexican man hops off the truck, wiping his hands. A woman beside him mutters something in Spanish, surprised at the sight.

Shan (blinking): "Huh? Sorry, I only speak English."

Cleaner (laughing): "Ah, my bad. She was asking if you did all this yourself."

Shan (grinning, rubbing the back of his head): Don't mind me , guess I got some serious OCD, man."

Cleaner (chuckling): "It's okay, amigo. You just made our job easier."

He waves to the truck. Several girls—his daughters—hop down, helping unload equipment. A couple of them notice Shan's physique, giggling and whispering. One even blows him a kiss.

Cleaner (snapping his fingers): "¡Oye! Don't get any ideas, amigo. Those are my daughters."

He tosses Shan a towel. "Go wash up, hero."

Before Shan can even say thanks—

SMACK!

A kick lands clean across his shoulder, knocking him flat to the ground.

Ema (arms crossed): "That's what you get for cutting the call, dumbass."

Shan (groaning): "Ema! You sick-minded woman! Wildy! Wildy, do something!"

Wildy lifts his head, lets out a lazy woof, then lies back down with his stomach round as a drum.

Shan (muttering): "Useless mutt…"

The cleaners burst into laughter as Ema smirks, standing over him.

Steam filled the small shower stall. Shan stood under the stream, head down, letting the water slide across his face.

Then—he blinked. The clear water turned crimson, trickling down like blood.

He stumbled back, heart pounding. For a moment, his reflection shimmered—his skin faintly illuminating.

Shan (thinking): What the hell…?

The light faded as quickly as it came. He exhaled, shook it off, and dressed quietly. Sliding his wet clothes into a bag, he pulled on a cleaner's uniform and adjusted the sling on his arm.

When he stepped out of the truck, Ema was waiting outside, crouched beside Wildy, scratching his belly.

Ema: "Hey, you good?"

Shan: "Yeah. Why are you even here?"

Ema: "Nikashi sent me."

Shan (snorting): "Oh, really."

He opened his lunch box, took a bite, and spoke through the chew.

"Guess he didn't trust me to stay out of trouble."

Ema: "Nope. I also wanted to teach you a lesson."

Shan (grinning): "Yeah, I got that message right here." He glanced at his arm sling.

Ema (softly): "Sorry about that. Anyway… how's your relationship with the general?"

Shan: "Fine, I guess. He ain't no general to me."

He chuckled, picturing Nikashi's strict expression.

Ema: "Bossy?"

Shan: "Nah. Power-hungry."

Ema: "Oof. Well, I hope you two figure it out. You both seem alike—especially when it comes to strength."

Shan: "Maybe. I hope so too."

He hoisted Wildy onto his shoulder and stepped onto his hoverboard.

"Good night, Ema."

Ema: "Yeah. Sweet rest."

She watched him glide away, Wildy's tail flicking lazily in the air.

(Thinking) "I really hope Nikashi and Shan learn to work together… just needs time."

Her phone buzzed.

Ema: "Hi, sir."

Nikashi (on call): "How's it going there?"

Ema: "Pretty good. Met a humble Mexican family that runs the cleaning service. I paid them for tonight."

Nikashi: "Good work. Also… I'm heading to dinner with my girlfriend and her family. Can you manage the reports?"

Ema (glancing at her watch): "4:37 PM… Sure, I've got some time left."

Nikashi: "Thanks, Ema." (Cuts the call)

Ema: "Okay. Good night, everyone."

Mexican cleaners (smiling): "¡Buenas noches, señorita!"

Ema smiled softly as the night settled around her. She stepped into her car, headlights flickering on. From the shadows above, a figure watched with a crooked smirk, eyes glinting with something dark.

The scene shifts — to Shan, gliding through the air with his headphones on, city lights reflecting on his face. He lands smoothly, setting Wildy down beside him.

"Alright, buddy. Home sweet home," Shan said.

Before them stood a towering five-star hotel, glass shining like crystal. Shan tapped his access card — beep — and the door unlocked.

"Welcome back, Shan," said the lovely receptionist with a warm smile.

"Ain't better," he replied, tossing a small bag on the counter. "Here — Mr. Amikaze asked me to pick this up. It's for Geocreys."

Wildy popped his head onto the desk, startling her. "Oh!—" She jumped back, and Shan caught the falling bag mid-air.

"Whoa—" he chuckled. "Sorry about that."

"No, no—it's fine!" she said, blushing.

"Wildy, sit," Shan ordered.

Wildy whimpered dramatically, giving puppy eyes.

"Good night, Jenny."

"Bye, Shan," she said with a shy smile.

He entered the elevator, the doors closing with a soft ding.

Moments later, his hotel suite door clicked open.

"Shan? That you?"

"Yeah, bro."

Vin looked up — tall, calm, dressed in black from head to toe. They dapped each other up.

Narrator: Vinato Amikaze and Shan Amikaze — brothers. One, a soldier with a past. The other, a businessman known as the "King of Commerce."

As they talked and set dinner, Wildy padded over to the living room — then, with a shimmer of light, transformed into human form, threw on casual clothes, and collapsed on the couch.

He snatched the remote, turned on the TV, and started laughing loudly at the screen.

Vin glanced over. "Rough day?" Looking at his arm .

"Yeah," Shan muttered. "Real messed up."

Wildy grinned. "I didn't do much,you know."

Vin smirked. "Let me guess — belly rubs?"

Wildy raised a finger proudly. "Exactly!"

"Scene: The Amikaze Residence

Vinato leaned against the counter, watching his younger brother unpack the food cans.

"Well, I've got good news… and bad news," he said.

Shan raised an eyebrow. "Really? Let's hear it."

Vinato sighed. "I'm leaving tomorrow morning — heading to the Republic Domain with Kai Nokita."

Shan froze mid-reach. "Wait, what? Why?"

Before Vinato could answer, Wildy darted toward him and dropped to his knees dramatically.

"Vin! Don't go! Who's gonna cook all the desserts?!"

Vinato chuckled. "Come on, don't be so dramatic. Shan can handle it."

Wildy pointed accusingly at Shan. "We both know how that ends."

Shan scoffed. "Oh, come on, it's not that bad."

"Anyways," he added, "why the Republic Domain?"

Vinato set down his glass. "All Impacts are meeting to discuss the future of the six realms. The Republic Domain was where the first Impact, Zenroth, changed the course of humanity. His old palace was rebuilt — now it's the central hall for all Impact assemblies. It's… symbolic."

They sat around the table. Shan looked thoughtful.

"Zenroth… yeah, I read about him. A legend. The guy inspired half of us to become who we are."

Wildy chewed and spoke with his mouth half full. "So what's the bad news?"

Vinato smiled faintly. "It might take a while. A long while."

Shan shrugged. "That's fine. Enjoy your trip, bro. You deserve it."

Scene: The Nokita Estate — That Same NightDinner was over. Plates clinked softly as Mai Nokita and her mother cleared the table. From across the room, Mai's eyes met Nikashi's — subtle, insistent.

Nikashi shook his head slightly, but she kept giving him that look until he sighed and nodded.

Her brother caught it instantly. "You know we can see that, right?"

Kai Nokita stood and motioned for the three men to step outside.

Viko grabbed a couple of drinks and followed them to the balcony.

"I'll get straight to it," Kai began. "Vinato Amikaze and I are leaving for the Republic Domain tomorrow. My son—" he looked at Mai's brother "—you're coming with me. As for you, Nikashi, you'll serve as our representative here until we return."

"Yes, sir," both of them replied in unison.

Kai folded his arms. "I got the report from Ema. Excellent work out there, Nikashi."

Nikashi bowed slightly. "Thank you, sir. Couldn't have done it without my team."

Viko raised his bottle. "Cheers to that!"

Kai chuckled. "Any questions before I leave?"

Nikashi hesitated. "Actually… yes, sir. I'd like to ask for your consent — for your daughter to move in with me."

Kai blinked. "Excuse me?"

Nikashi swallowed hard but stood firm.

"Work's been overwhelming, sir. And… your daughter's support has been a huge part of my focus. Having her nearby would motivate me more — I believe it would help us grow as a mature couple."

There was silence for a second — then bursting laughter.

Kai laughed so hard he slapped Nikashi's shoulder.

"Oh my Gods, General Nik, did you just say mature couple?"

Viko nearly spilled his drink. "This man came in with a speech!"

Kai, still laughing, said, "Tell you what — instead of letting my daughter move in, I'll pay for your apartment myself."

Nikashi smiled awkwardly. "Oh, no need, sir. I already paid for it."

Viko pointed at him, laughing even harder. "Bro came prepared!"

The balcony echoed with laughter.

Ema turned the key in the office door and sighed.

"Oh man… what a night."

She stretched, cracking her back, muttering, "Let me go check on the Mexicans, make sure they got home safe."

The night air was still — too still. The streetlights flickered softly as she walked toward the construction site. The trucks were parked where they'd been hours ago… but there was no sound. No chatter. No engines.

She frowned. "Hello? Anyone here?"

Her eyes caught a door left slightly ajar on one of the trucks. The metal creaked quietly as the wind brushed past. Ema raised her palm, summoning a small sphere of flame that hovered above her hand, casting long shadows.

Slowly, she approached. "This isn't funny, guys…"

She nudged the door open — and froze. A figure stood inside, half-hidden by the dark. Its eyes flickered like dying embers.

Before she could react, it lunged.

The impact threw her backward — boom! — slamming her into a concrete wall. Pain shot through her body, but she gritted her teeth, planting her hand on the ground. Ice crawled up her arm as she shouted,

"Stay back!"

With a sharp swing, she formed an ice axe and struck. The blade sliced through the creature's arm — it howled, retreating into the shadows of the night, leaving trails of frost and smoke.

Ema's breathing was ragged. She stumbled toward the bus.

"Guys? Are you there?"

No answer. Only silence.

She gripped the handle and pushed the door open wider — her flame dimming slightly — and what she saw inside froze her blood.

Her eyes widened.

Her lips trembled.

And then—

A scream tore through the night.

— End of Chapter One.
