Chapter 126 - Chapter 126 Truly a Beast, Huh

"Mommy?" The word seemed novel to her. Little Yui tilted her head and looked curiously at Asuna.

Asuna's face flushed slightly at Yusei's declaration. But seeing Yui's adorable appearance, her maternal love overflowed, and she gently stroked Yui's head.

"Yes, I'm Mama."

Receiving this confirmation, Yui seemed very happy. She smiled sweetly, her gaze shifting between Yusei and Asuna.

"Papa."

"Mama."

Seeing their new daughter so adorable, Yusei and Asuna unconsciously glanced at each other and shared a smile.

Being called Papa and Mama filled them both with immense joy.

But while some were happy, others were not.

Shiro, standing to the side, watched Yui call out 'Papa' and 'Mama' repeatedly, her little cheeks puffing up.

She didn't mind Yusei being called Papa. She didn't mind someone being called Mama. The problem was that she wasn't the 'Mama'.

Watching Yusei, Asuna, and Yui looking like a family of three, she suddenly felt a bit like an outsider, but quickly dismissed the thought.

Yusei finally remembered Shiro and Kanna. After a moment's thought, he smiled and introduced them.

"Yui, this is Shiro. She's Papa's younger sister. You should call her Aunt."

Yui, being well-behaved, gave Shiro a sweet smile.

"Auntie."

This title didn't please Shiro. On the contrary, she looked nearly ready to cry.

Unaware of his sister's reaction, Yusei cheerfully introduced Kanna.

When introducing Kanna, he hesitated slightly before saying, "And this is your... Aunt Kanna."

Kanna's face froze for a split second. She mentally reviewed kinship terms for this world and realized Yusei had placed her in the 'sister' category.

She shook her adorably dumbfounded head and looked seriously at Yui.

"You should call me Auntie. Because Kanna is your Papa's wife." (T/N: In the RAW, Kanna was first called Auntie the same was as Shiro, Paternal Aunt, the father's sister. But now, Kanna wanted to change it to Maternal Aunt or the way people called older women who had no relations with them. But since I can't just use Paternal Aunt and Aunt, I can only use Aunt for Paternal, and Auntie for normal Aunt.)

Kanna spoke with extreme seriousness. Given her demeanor, if not for her height, one might truly mistake her for a young woman discussing marriage.

Beside them, Asuna's smiling face stiffened. Her sharp gaze swept over Yusei, as if saying, 'Still denying it, you lolicon.'

Yusei could only shrug helplessly, his eyes responding, 'Asuna, she's not a little girl. She's a beautiful young woman.'

'Hmph, I need to protect Yui-chan properly.'

'Hey now, that's too far. I'm not that much of a beast.'

After their silent exchange, Kanna was already busy correcting Yui.

But Yui seemed hesitant, looking to Yusei for guidance.

Yusei smiled and patted Yui's head, "It's fine. Call her whatever you like."

"Okay." Yui nodded, then gave Kanna a sweet smile, "Auntie Kanna."

"Mhmm." Pleased with the title, Kanna smiled. Being called 'Auntie' didn't make her feel old… instead, she felt more mature.

In short, she was very satisfied.

"Yui, Auntie Kanna will find you some Elven Holy Water to cleanse your body."

The dragon tribe didn't give otoshidama to juniors, but they had a tradition of finding treasures to strengthen their younglings.

Young dragons typically used ancestral blood, but considering Yui was human, Kanna thoughtfully opted for the gentler Elven Holy Water, which is usable by any race.

Yusei didn't know what Elven Holy Water was, but assumed it was a treasure from Kanna's world, not SAO.

He didn't press for details, trusting Kanna to handle things in her own way.

Seeing Yui change Kanna's title with Yusei's permission, Shiro's eyes lit up.

She immediately leaned close to Yui, looking seriously into her eyes.

"Yui, Shiro is not Aunt. Shiro is Papa's wife."

Instantly, Yusei felt a death glare upon him.

Turning, he met Asuna's 'gentle' gaze.

This time, she spoke aloud in a soft tone:

"Truly a beast, huh."

With Yui around, the house gained new vitality. Even the usually expressionless Shiro played happily with her.

Generationally, Shiro was Yui's aunt, but physically, they were similar in age.

Perhaps it was this unique dynamic that made Shiro so eager to look after Yui.

Yusei found himself with much more free time, skipping raids and leveling to stay home with Yui and Asuna, enjoying their family time.

Today was Yusei and Asuna's wedding day. They had invited many people, including Heathcliff, leader of the Knights of the Blood Oath… or rather, Kayaba Akihiko.

While called a wedding, in SAO, it essentially meant registering their marriage in the system.

Their celebration was self-organized: inviting friends for a meal and accepting their blessings.

Kiriko and the others arrived early, accompanied by Argo the Rat, who'd become Kiriko's friend after being saved by her, and Silica, whom Yusei had casually rescued before and handed to Asuna.

Thanks to her familiar's unique healing ability, Silica was now a popular member of the Capture Group, serving under Kaguya's command.

Aside from them, Asuna's friends included Lizbeth, a blacksmith she knew from her KoB days, whom she frequented for weapons and repairs.

The guest list was small, consisting only of close friends. The only other male besides Yusei was Heathcliff, whose punctuality was legendary.

While Kiriko's group arrived early, Heathcliff appeared exactly on time.

(Author's Note: Regarding the Sharingan's hypnosis being compared to Kotoamatsukami... I'll just say you haven't seen the later plot. Why assume an ordinary technique is as hypnotic as Kotoamatsukami?)
