Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: I Remember Everyone

He held a long knife in his hand, with bloodstains still on it that hadn't dried. He looked a bit fatigued, but he was very excited.

There were many people lying at his feet, obviously the original guards of the research institute. Arceus didn't know how Abel managed to break free and escape, but for him, it was a good thing.

No need to look for where Abel was, just take these two little ones and go.

On the path of the Lunarians Race's escape, many chose to perish with the enemy to protect the unhatched him and the Plate. He couldn't just leave these two little ones behind and leave alone.

"Shaina! I've come to rescue you!"

"Abel? You're still alive... that's great..."

"Yes, we can leave here soon, we'll be free." Abel unlocked the device restraining Shaina, intending to take her away.

"I know my own body... I can't hold on for much longer. Going with you will only be a burden, just take the Sacred Object. I'll stay and cover your retreat."

Unlike Abel who still had abundant strength, Shaina was more exhausted due to what she had endured. She knew very well that with her current stamina, she couldn't fly far.

Moreover, alarm bells were echoing in their ears, and sounds of moving and shouting could be heard from outside the corridor.

"The test subjects have escaped! Some of you go to Zone A, others support Zone C, and the rest, come with me to Zone B!"

In this situation, if no one stays behind to cover, they would eventually be caught up. This was how the Lunarians have always done it in the past.

Whenever they met an inescapable opponent, someone would sacrifice themselves, but this time was different from before.

"It's okay, Shaina, there's someone outside to meet us. We just need to break out together."

Before Shaina could wonder where they found help, a group of guards had already rushed in.

"Don't use guns; they're precious samples! We must capture them alive!"

The manager looked at Abel and Shaina and made a quick decision. In his eyes, these readily recruitable guards were far less valuable than the two precious test subjects.

Even if these two were highly threatening, he insisted that his subordinates use non-lethal weapons.

"Abel, leave everything to me. I'll carve out a path for you." Shaina clenched her fists. The Lunarians Race naturally possessed great talent, and given their special growing environment, their strength was not weak.

At least compared to these ordinary guards, they were much stronger. The flames behind Shaina started to extinguish. When the flames on their backs extinguished, the individual's defense would decrease, and correspondingly, their speed would greatly increase.

Shaina was prepared for a desperate fight. She didn't really believe that anyone was there to assist them. To her, it was just Abel's words of comfort.

But regardless, they had to deal with the enemies in front of them first. Their Sacred Object was a gigantic egg. Even for a Juvenile Arceus, the egg was over two meters tall. Carrying such an object would undoubtedly impact mobility.

Not to mention there was an almost three-meter Plate. He couldn't leave with both the huge Plate and the egg at the same time, and Shaina's stamina was insufficient, so they could only temporarily abandon the Plate.

They weren't from the Giant Race; as youths, their physique still fell within the normal human range. Being able to move with such heavy items was already very challenging.

The strength of these people wasn't particularly strong, but they were well-equipped and numerous. The room limited the scale of the battle; they wouldn't face too many enemies at once.

But after they handled another batch of incoming enemies.

Abel noticed something was amiss. The eyes of the guards pouring in weren't focused on him but behind him. And from the corner of his eye, he could sense something behind him glowing.

Then, a beam of light containing terrifying power shot out from behind the two, blasting the guards at the entrance skyward.

The terrifying beam didn't stop there; the walls of the entire research institute were pierced through. Through the traces left by the Hyper Beam, the distant Sea could be seen.

"The Sacred Object, it's the Sacred Object! ... Shaina, look! The Sacred Object has hatched!"

Turning his gaze, Abel's voice was filled with surprise. Shaina also looked towards where the gigantic egg had been, only to find it gone. A uniquely shaped creature was standing there.

Undoubtedly, the attack just now was unleashed by him.

The Lunarians Race always believed that the egg would hatch one day, and today, they finally witnessed this moment. Unfortunately, the Lunarians Race had already withered away.

"Abel, Shaina, thank you for your hard work during this time."

A somewhat neutral voice appeared beside their ears. Following the direction of the sound, they looked ahead at Arceus.

"You know us?"

"Of course I know. Ludo, Amile, Avanisha, Aslan, Nadia...."

A string of names rolled off Arceus's tongue. There might be omissions, but each time he awoke, he remembered the names of the Lunarians he'd heard. These were from the latest batch, the elders of Abel and the others.

To Abel and the others, these were familiar names.

"I'm very sorry for the accident back then that caused me to lose most of my power. It wasn't until today that I could emerge from the egg. But this won't happen again. Once I regain my strength, I'll seek justice for the Lunarians Race. However, some immediate problems need to be resolved first."

On the other side, two Plates were being drawn by an unknown force. The originally gray and white Plates began to shine again, shrinking in size and subsequently merging into Arceus's body.

Then a unique energy gathered on his forehead, and the weakened Shaina was also drawn by that mysterious force, floating in the air. The life flame that was about to extinguish reignited with the influx of energy.

"Holy Beast Lord!"

The changes in Shaina delighted both her and Abel. To Abel, Shaina was his last family member. Perhaps elsewhere in the world, some clansmen were struggling to survive, but among those he knew, only Shaina remained.

"I am Arceus, there's no need for awe. Shaina's weakness is partly due to me."

Someone had suggested that the blood of the Lunarians Race might catalyze the egg's hatching. As a result, they treated Shaina like a blood bank, extracting without limit because her endurance couldn't match Abel's. From their perspective, Abel was a more suitable test subject.

That's why they experimented with Shaina.

Claiming the name Arceus, it was merely a title. Gaining all that was Arceus, he assumed the name as well.

"Alright, we must leave here; there remain matters to deliberate carefully."

He initially thought that after hatching, with enhanced perception, he could locate Plates scattered worldwide. But apart from the two here, he couldn't sense the presence of any other Plates; a peculiar magnetic field seemed to be interfering with his perception.

It was only at a certain proximity that he could sense the presence of a Plate.

Seeing the guards arriving outside, he planned to send out another Hyper Beam. The two Plates he absorbed were the Flame Plate of the Fire Type and the Blank Plate of the Normal Type. The previous Hyper Beam had drawn power from the Blank Plate.

The Hyper Beam's expected stiffness vanished for him as the Creator, but before he could unleash it, the guards appeared to be under attack from behind. A man wielding a Wolf Fang Club made his way in.

Towering, with solid muscles yet a slightly slender physique, clad in tight leather pants, and sporting a pair of massive demon horns on his head, it was the young Kaidou.
