Chapter 432 - Chapter 119: Butterfly

Upon hearing the cheers, Professor Snape's expression became even more unsightly.

Because he knew very well that if Slytherin had won, there wouldn't be such a fanfare. Only when Gryffindor won, would three-fourths of the students celebrate for them.

Amid the screams and laughter that even the thunder couldn't drown out, the Potions Professor left Vid and limped towards the dungeon in the castle.

Vid couldn't understand why he didn't use magic to make it easier on himself; he could have floated back to his lounge.

Vid ultimately could only conclude that Professor Snape might have a bit of a self-destructive tendency.

Someone suddenly lunged forward, wrapping their arms around his neck.

"Hey, Vid, couldn't see you just now!" Michael laughed and said, "Did you see Harry then? That moment he grabbed the Golden Snitch among the Slytherins, haha, the Slytherins were all furious!"

Vid withdrew the magic wand that almost poked out and laughed, "Harry won?"

"That's right, Harry Potter! He's sure to become a world-class Quidditch star!"

Regardless of whether they knew each other, other students joined in loudly.

Vid didn't even have time to speak before Michael was pulled away by others.

They were as excited as if they themselves had won.

Even the normally calm Ravenclaw behaved this way, so Gryffindor was naturally beyond words, many students were running wild on the Quidditch pitch in the rain, repeatedly throwing the players into the sky.

The girls, however, returned to the castle in groups as soon as the match ended, and Hufflepuff students also started heading back.

Today, everyone was almost soaked by rain the entire day; hungry and cold, they were shivering on the way.

"Vid?" Theo and Leian were hugging a warming flame bottle, seemingly dripping with water from their eyes, still calling, "Want to join us?"

Vid walked over and asked, "Everyone seems particularly excited today?"

"Yes, yes, Harry recreated Poland Team Sidney's classic strategy at the last moment, using bad weather to distract the enemy, finally grabbing the Golden Snitch surrounded by four Slytherin players!"

Theo excitedly gestured wildly, "Even though he fell off the broom at the end, it was nothing major—Professor Abigail caught him!"

"Professor Abigail?" Vid paused slightly.

"Yeah." Theo said, "Don't know why, Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick weren't around today, nor was Professor Snape. But luckily, Professor Abigail was still there, otherwise Harry would surely have gotten hurt."

Leian asked, "Vid, didn't you watch the match today?"

"No, rare heavy rain like this, I went for a flight." Vid said, "Flew a bit far."

The behavior sounded quite foolish, Theo disapprovingly said, "Flying in this weather? Be careful you don't get struck by lightning."

"Not that unlucky, fly far enough and there's no rain." Vid said.

Laughing and chatting, they returned to the castle, the match lasted quite late today, fortunately, the kitchen saved dinner for all students.

However, there were hardly any Gryffindor students visible in the Great Hall—they were likely celebrating all night in their own common room.

The SSC group still sat together, even Michael and Padma seemed to have reconciled, sitting close and waving to Vid and the others.

Vid waved his wand, helping everyone to remove the cold rain soaked all over their bodies, instantly warming and drying their clothes.

"Thank you, Vid." Padma happily said, "Having cold clothes sticking to me was so uncomfortable, if my stomach wasn't too hungry, I would have headed straight back to the dorm."

Vid sat down and said, "Just a simple spell, I'll teach you guys later."

"Great!" Michael hurriedly agreed and then turned to Padma, "I'll be the first to learn and never let you suffer like this again."

Padma huffed and said, "I don't need you, I'll learn myself!"

Theo asked Leian, "Have you finished your Astronomy essay? I couldn't figure out the positions of a few constellations."

"Finished." Leian said, "I'll help you take a look afterward."

"Help me too, Leian!" Michael pretended to be pitiful and said, "Haven't been able to observe star signs for three classes, but Professor Sinistra's homework hasn't decreased at all, it's literally driving me crazy."

Vid got himself a beef pie, the aroma of the food instantly conquered his taste buds.

He sat in the clean and bright school hall, above him candles burned endlessly, surrounded by friends discussing homework and matches.

So peaceful, so ordinary, as if not long ago, the island experience was merely a dream.

"Mr. Kona, if you could memorize all the star charts like Mr. Carlo, I wouldn't mind reducing your essay assignments a bit."

Suddenly, a voice filled with laughter rang behind, startling Michael almost out of his chair.

Everyone turned around and saw several professors just passing behind them, and the voice belonged to Astronomy's Professor Aurora Sinistra.

Michael hastily put down the roasted potato in hand, jumped up and said seriously:

"How could that be, Professor? Studying the movements of stars and planets helps deepen our understanding of magic, grasp the connection between celestial changes and all things, and even foresee the future!"

"This course is so important, how could we slack off in learning? I must write my Astronomy homework seriously, no excuse to slack off. Even if the learning makes my head feel like it's going to burst, I won't give up!"
