Chapter 71 - Chapter 64: Urgent, My Roommate Is a Witch Essence Party Member [Fourth Update]

On time, precisely.

No tardiness, in fact, there's still extra time.

In the end, Ian didn't give Snape a chance to question him about the Life and Death Potion formula.

"Ian! Over here! Over here!"

The green-haired boy William might have arrived at the classroom quite early.

It's just that he seemed a bit pathetic among the group of little wizards; while others gathered in threes and fives discussing the upcoming class, he was alone at a table.

Perhaps the friends he met on the Hogwarts Express are in the other two houses, and his good roommate Michael is busy trying to ingratiate himself over at the Slytherin side.

In the entirety of Hogwarts first-year's four houses, only Michael and some unknown girl from Slytherin had exclusive skins, clearly making Michael a very traditional Brother Xiao Hei.

"Found the reason why Michael didn't say a word when discussing which girl is the prettiest in the morning."

Ian walked towards William, full of curiosity, while his overly enthusiastic roommate had already helped him spread open his textbook, turning to the first chapter's content for today's Magic Potion Class.

"He's just a traitor!"

William grumbled indignantly.

"I think it's pretty good."

Ian's heart knot instantly untied, and he felt relieved.

During breakfast, when ranking the little witches, Michael's silence worried him for a long time. Now it turns out Brother Xiao Hei just exclusively loves black pearls.

No problem!

"That girl simply said 'Good afternoon,' and it felt like his soul got enchanted away. The Slytherin side doesn't even care for him, yet he keeps trying to get closer."

"Sooner or later, he'll be tricked into not having a single copper Knut left for pocket money." William murmured continuously, perhaps recalling a past experience.

"You guys really mature early, unlike me. I only love studying." Ian glanced around; there's still a while before class starts, and already many little wizards had gathered in the classroom.

The Potion classroom isn't very large, but can clearly accommodate forty to fifty people, whereas there are only a little over thirty little wizards, making it relatively spacious under such allocation.

Besides the material storage cabinets occupying a lot of space, there are also some biological specimens soaked in various jars. The Magic Potion Class teacher, Snape, had yet to arrive.

"We're the same, I also only love studying."

William seemed to have finally found a confidant, overjoyed. However, just then, a figure with platinum blonde hair and a shining presence holding textbooks walked into the Magic Potion Class classroom.

"That's her! The Bad Woman from the Grindelwald family!"

"She must be here at Hogwarts to recruit a new generation of followers, Ian, trust me, my grandfather used to be an Auror in Germany for decades."

William seemed enthusiastic about studying only verbally; with any slight movement, he'd lift his head to observe. Unlike Ian, who he shook, Ian remained focused reviewing the Magic Potion Class textbook.

"Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi" and "Magic Potions and Elixirs."

"She's coming over!"

William nervously buried his head, afraid his previous words had been overheard. In moments filled with unease, he noticed two books placed on their table.

"Sorry."

William jerked back, instantly deflated.

"???????"

Aurora glanced curiously at the inexplicable green-haired boy.

"Is he your friend?"

She asked Ian with intrigue.

"Ian, we're good friends, right?" William suddenly clutched Ian's arm, his tone filled with tension, his panicked little eyes kept switching between Ian and Aurora.

"Good afternoon, Aurora, this is my roommate William, he's somewhat... shy."

Ian raised his head to face the German girl standing before him, choosing not to betray his good roommate. This wave of "loyalty," he felt, was worth at least ten times washing socks.

"Hmm."

Aurora nodded, turning her gaze to William.

"Good afternoon, Ian's roommate."

Faced with a greeting from the Bad Woman of the Grindelwald family, William felt only fear, stuttering in response, clearly exceedingly nervous.

"Hel...hello."

Couldn't bear to call her by name.

Mouth king at best.

"Magic Potion Class requires pairing up, should we team up?" Aurora refrained from continuing with William, her unique eyes expectantly looked at Ian.

"Cross-house pairing, is it allowed?"

Ian hesitated.

Moreover.

"William should team with me." With no deceit intended, Ian was concerned about his roommate being left alone, yet the next moment William already began packing his belongings.

"I want to see the scenery far away." William's running posture appeared odd, possibly due to weakened legs, he stumbled all the way to the classroom corner.

Uncertain what scenery he saw there... William, believing he found the 'safe spot,' lost all expectation for his first Magic Potion Class.

He stared at Aurora now seated at Ian's table, filled with regret, muttering continuously to himself.

"He calls her Aurora, she calls him Ian... why didn't anyone tell me sooner!" At this moment, William's psychological activities could be easily summarized.

Anxious.

Just cursed the first-generation Black Demon King heir.

Discover his roommate might genuinely be a Witch Essence Party?

"Your friend's quite timid." Seated beside Ian, Aurora obviously understood why William behaved nervously in her presence.

She's seen similar behavior in many others.

"There's nothing to do, he has autism, never dared engage strangers." Ian remained fond of autism, glancing towards the Slytherin area.

"Wasn't I the one with autism?"

Aurora blinked.

"Taking turns being autistic, that's fair." Ian maintained his watch on the Slytherin area.

"Upon exiting the common room, any Slytherin little wizards still inside?" He checked the time, mere minutes before class started.

"Are you inquiring about Miss Daphne Greengrass?" Aurora understood Ian's intent, shaking her head slightly, she softly uttered.

"She's yet to wake, Snape claims she's deeply affected, might need two more days of sleep." Pausing briefly, the German girl lowered her voice further.

"I reckon she's pretending not to wake."

As the saying goes, heroes think alike.

Ian shared this belief.

"Definitely true! She's genuinely bad!" Ian withdrew his hand from his pocket.

Expressing mild disappointment.

"..."

Aurora's expression turned odd as she opened her mouth.

Before she spoke.

"Boom!"

Snape strode in with vigor, waving behind him to shut the Magic Potion Class door, clearly disallowing further late arrivals.

Suddenly the scene turned silent.

Even Ian felt confused.

The dreaded scolding of latecomers, where's the action he anticipated?

He was all expecting a drama.
