Chapter 39 - Chapter 32: Familiarity (Double Chapter)_2

It stood tall, looking fierce, spraying water with its big claws from a faucet onto the shorter Cyclizar next to it.

"Ma... Ma..." So scary...

Alcremie hesitated a little.

Seeing this, Smoliv innocently asked, "Fu?" Didn't you just say you weren't afraid of that big guy?

"Ma!" I did not!

To not lose face in front of its companions, Alcremie took a deep breath and stepped forward bravely.

At this moment, Koraidon noticed them.

It turned its head, its golden pupils narrowing slightly, staring intently at the small Alcremie and Smoliv.

Alcremie felt as if it was being targeted by the most terrifying predator in the world, and its small body instantly petrified on the spot.

Fortunately, Koraidon soon looked away, calling out to them: "Agaa-sii!"

"Fu?" Smoliv trembled as it asked, is it calling us?

"Ma... Ma..." It seems so... what do we do?

Alcremie also felt a bit panicked.

Seeing them like that, Koraidon felt a bit speechless.

It toned down its voice: "Agaa-sii..."

After driving Cyclizar away, Koraidon approached and picked up Alcremie and Smoliv, then helped them water with the faucet.

After a while, Smoliv and Alcremie's bodies, stiff with fear, finally relaxed.

They belatedly realized that besides looking intimidating, this big guy might not actually harm them?

By the time Naoki finished his bath and returned, there was no sign of Alcremie and Smoliv inside the house.

Puzzled, he heard the sound of water outside, went out the door, and saw Koraidon playing with them in the water.

Meanwhile, Cyclizar stood foolishly on the side, just watching, not coming forward.

It seemed not to like getting too close to Alcremie.

"Is it because of type matchups?" Naoki pondered.

After all, the Fairy-type Alcremie has a double advantage over the Dragon-type Cyclizar.

However, the Dragon-type Koraidon didn't seem to reject Alcremie at all.

Maybe it's because Koraidon is strong enough to ignore the type influence from Alcremie? Naoki thought.

Seeing him come over, the Pokemon also stopped.

Naoki returned to the house and took a towel to dry Alcremie and Smoliv.

He curiously asked, "How does it feel?"

Alcremie's voice sounded very happy: "Ma!"

Smoliv also seemed very pleased: "Fu~"

It seemed they really liked Koraidon!

Once they were dry, Naoki walked around the pasture with them on either side, introducing them to the pasture.

Koraidon and Cyclizar followed behind.

The sky had not completely darkened yet, a sliver of sunset lingering on the horizon, enveloping the whole land in a gentle twilight.

The hens, after a day of grazing, returned to the Chicken House, settling into hay bales to close their eyes and rest.

The crops in the fields were growing well, with the fastest-growing turnips already sprouting several large leaves, and the buried fruits likely taking shape.

Naoki walked with the Pokemon on the grass, pointing to the fence surrounding the pasture, and said to Alcremie and Smoliv:

"The places enclosed by those fences are our pasture, it's very safe, no bad guys will hurt you."

Smoliv and Alcremie curiously looked around.

Naoki smiled and said, "The grasslands here have lots of wildflowers, and during the day many butterflies come fluttering about."

The grass in this world grew vigorously, and with a little trimming, it turned into a tidy lawn, looking very aesthetic.

Because of this, Naoki only chopped down excess trees, not cutting down the grass with a scythe.

He planned to take a couple of days to sort out the stone materials in the utility room and lay a stone path connecting the Chicken House and the wooden house on the pasture.

Seeing Alcremie and Smoliv's curious expressions, Naoki said to them:

"You can come tomorrow during the day to see, there are lots of butterflies and flowers."

"Fu~"

"Ma!"

The two Pokemon began to look forward to it.

After Naoki's introduction, they had a preliminary impression of the pasture — the place surrounded by fences is safe.

They were not as afraid of the world outside anymore.

After walking around the pasture, the last glow of the setting sun disappeared, and only until the sun was no longer visible did Naoki end the walk.

He brought the Pokemon back into the house.

Alcremie went to the cabinet, and Smoliv returned to the flower pot, sitting at the edge, dangling its little feet and yawning, looking sleepy.

"Go to sleep!" Naoki said with a smile.

"Fu~"

Smoliv responded, lying back into the pot, resting on the soft soil with peace of mind, and soon began to snore.

Naoki turned around, looking at Koraidon and Cyclizar by the bed, then sat on the bed to tidy things up.

He planned to set out to Casseroya Lake the next morning because he wasn't sure if he could rush back by noon, so Naoki intended to make a few nutritional sandwiches and Berry Juice for Cyclizar and the others.

This time over there, besides finding new fishing spots, Naoki also planned to hire Water-type Pokemon skilled in Water Gun and Rain Dance to work there.

At the same time, he needed to bring some food because capturing Pokemon is quite a skillful task.
