Ever since being brought here by that kind-hearted human girl, Pawmi, like the other Pokemon in the institute, waited every day for the professor's feeding or hoped to meet a good Trainer.
Gradually, the other Pokemon familiar with Pawmi were taken by new trainers at the age of ten to become their starter Pokemon.
The professor initially intended to give this little Pawmi to a new trainer as their starter Pokemon to travel with.

Dragonite did not wish to be captured, but those humans' Pokemon were strong, and after defeating it, they used a Poke Ball to capture it.
But once Dragonite awoke, it adamantly resisted and ran away.
Even Dragonite itself did not understand why it was compelled to do so.
The Trainer chased after it, and upon discovering it did not wish to become a human's Pokemon, released it from the Poke Ball.
The rumors of Dragonite at Casseroya Lake attracted more and more humans.
Yet Dragonite remained unmoved, lost in its own world, following the footsteps of the moon to this place every day.
Time flew by swiftly, and in the blink of an eye, hundreds of years had passed.
Dragonite's life came to an end, and with unresolved questions persisting throughout its life, it closed its eyes forever, resting eternally on the cliff.
