Malefic Cyber End Dragon!
The ultimate form of fusion created from three Cyber Dragons, embodying power in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX era within the Cyber Style!
But at this moment, this mechanical king captured from an unknown timeline is also bound by the chains of "Sin," manipulated at will by Paradox.
[Malefic Cyber End Dragon, ATK 4000]
"Let the battle begin." Paradox raised his hand and waved, "Malefic Cyber End Dragon attacks! The first target is that troublesome Wild Wingman! Malefic: Eternal Evolution Burst!"
The three mechanical heads opened their mouths simultaneously, gathering a dazzling blue radiance. Surging currents circled the glowing mass, like countless spirits dancing around.
As the three beams released, a transparent shockwave erupted from the mouth of the steel king. The hero in the wilderness was instantly blasted into fragments under the powerful and scorching flames, and countless feathers were blown away in the gale.
"Activate Set Card, Trap Card - Damage Diet!" Youyu waved his hand to flip open the Set Card, "All damage received this turn is halved!"
The Evolution Burst, after crushing the wilderness hero, continued its assault towards Youyu. It reached Youyu, buffered by the Trap Card's release zone, making his body sway and slide back half a step, almost losing his balance.
[Youyu, LP 4000 →LP 2950]
"Hmph, a barely effective defense. But this means you can no longer use that Hero's troublesome ability." Paradox inserted a card into the Duel Disc, "Set two cards, end turn."
Youyu stood up, glanced at the massive mechanical dragon floating in mid-air: "Cyber End Dragon...a spirit plundered from another era?"
"Ho, it seems you know quite a bit." Paradox crossed his arms, "Exactly. Duel Monsters contain a power beyond what modern humans can imagine. Many might think it's a power bringing hope for the future, but that's not necessarily true.
I traverse through various eras, collecting the most powerful monsters, to use that power to eliminate the world's source of evil - the Duel Monsters themselves."
Well, this was all explained in the anime, so Youyu wasn't surprised.
What he didn't expect was....
"So what do you want from me?" Youyu frowned, "Are you targeting the spirit I possess? The Egyptian God?"
If that's the case, it's too reckless. Paradox wouldn't be naive enough to think that a mere "Malefic World" could bind the Three Egyptian Gods, right?
Even Youyu hasn't figured out how to tame these three tsundere gods, yet you're already thinking of a bondage play? You've got guts?
But even the number one daredevil in Yu-Gi-Oh! history, Paradox, wasn't that brave. He shook his head and said, "No, there are too many unknowns and missing records in the future archives about the Egyptian God's power; I can't be sure I can control it."
Youyu frowned.
Then what spirit could he be planning to seize from me?
Shien? Blood Demon D?
It can't possibly be.....
Youyu instinctively turned his head to look at the big, white, and utterly clueless Dark Magician Girl beside him....
Though she didn't quite understand why he was here, the Dark Magician Girl understood enough to realize that this golden-haired villain was specifically here to steal spirits.
The girl immediately felt a huge sense of crisis, puffing up her cheeks and glaring angrily at Paradox.
No one can separate me from my master!
Youyu shook his head to dismiss the notion.
Impossible, impossible, who would target this spirit of ours....
"Is that so, it seems you haven't realized it yet," Paradox smiled faintly, "A powerful spirit birthed from fighting alongside the Duel King, belonging solely to the Duel King...."
"Belonging solely...to my spirit?" Youyu furrowed his brows, growing even more bewildered.
All the spirits beside Youyu so far, strictly speaking, were "picked up." But now, listening to Paradox, it sounded like a new spirit was about to be born from his battles thus far?
If that were true, it would be fundamentally different from a spirit picked up at random.
Because it would be a spirit cultivated under Youyu's nurturing as a Duelist, inherently bonded to him, more representative of his own strength than any spirit he presently controlled.
So what would that spirit be?
Watching Youyu frowning and deep in thought, Paradox seemed to regain a little of the "know-it-all" confidence of someone from the future, even though he had been blown away at the very start by Youyu.
With a grand wave of his hand, he confidently proclaimed, "None of that is your concern. Because that spirit is going to be captured by me! Now, the duel continues, draw your card!"
It seemed he had no intention of continuing the conversation.
No matter what, the duel still had to continue.
"My turn, draw." Youyu revealed the card he drew, "Magic Card - Pot of Greed, allowing me to draw two more cards from the Deck."
Looking at the two cards drawn, Youyu couldn't help but smile faintly.
Here it comes.
All the pre-game strategic adjustments had been worthwhile.
As Youyu cast a not-so-friendly glance towards the Field of "Malefic World," Paradox suddenly felt a deep sense of foreboding, a sensation that instinctively jolted his heart.
But he quickly suppressed that unease: "Hmph, it's pointless to aim at 'Malefic World.' As long as 'Field Barrier' is in play, Malefic World can't be destroyed, nor can new Field Magic cards be activated...."
"Ah, I know. But I have this," Youyu smiled, revealing a card in his hand, "Quick-Play Magic - Cosmic Cyclone! By paying 1000 LP, I banish one Magic or Trap Card on the field!"
[Youyu, LP 2950 →LP 1950]
"Nani!?" Paradox was taken aback.
Damn it, where do you get so many storms and cyclones in your deck?
Would a normal person really put that many wind cards in their deck?
You're supposedly using a First Duel King Youyu's Deck with Masked Hero build, right?
Aren't you playing something more like Storm Hero?
Yet, despite Paradox's head-banging frustration, the Magic Card had already been activated. A peculiar cyclone materialized out of thin air, like it had come from the depths of deep cosmos, forcefully ripping apart this Malefic space, making the vast field appear surreal, as if it was on the verge of disappearing at any moment.
"Field Barrier can protect Field Magic Cards from being destroyed but doesn't prevent them from being banished." Youyu waved his hand, "So, disappear once more, Malefic World! And also, Malefic Cyber End Dragon!"
When Malefic World is absent from the field, all Malefic Monsters will be destroyed; thus, the Cyber End Dragon is no exception.
Paradox's face contorted for a moment, and he shouted, "It's not that simple! Activate Set Card, Trap Card - Virtual World! This card allows me to add a Field Magic Card from the deck to my hand, or directly activate it!"
Paradox's Duel Disc immediately initiated an auto-search, quickly ejecting a card. Paradox drew that card and declared, "Activate now! The last Field Magic Card—
—Malefic World!"
