Having successfully traversed the Vampire Dimension, Youyu's journey continued, unexpectedly yielding some unexpected rewards along the way.
The Vampire Fraulein, if Youyu recalled correctly, was a card he hadn't seen in the main world.
It's worth noting that Youyu had privileges with Kaiba Group and the International Fantasy Society, two major card printing companies, and could freely access their warehouses of cards.
Even "Blue-Eyes White Dragon," a non-sellable rare card, was something Youyu might not possess but had definitely seen—it's impossible for him to be completely unaware of it.
But the Vampire Fraulein card was truly new to him.
As one of the strongest in the Twelfth Dimension, Fraulein's spirit power wasn't weak either. More importantly, she possessed psychic abilities—a type lacking in all the spirits Youyu currently had.
Yubel had similar abilities, but as it belonged to his disciple, it was only temporarily accompanying him. Once Judai was rescued, it would certainly return.
Fraulein's addition was a decent supplement to Youyu's team.
Through the Dimension Gate, the group quickly arrived at the next dimension.
Indeed, just as Yubel had described, it was a dark world. The sky was grim, as if veiled by a gigantic curtain, with desolation stretching as far as the eye could see.
Their first stop was a town with hardly any intact buildings; ruins lay everywhere, not only neglected but clearly worn by warfare, like old men worn thin by the passage of time.
Welcome to the Dark World.
The place where Yuki Judai darkened and awakened as Judai The Supreme King in the anime, nearest to the Supreme King Castle.
Soon after their arrival, their welcoming committee appeared.
It was an army from the Dark World. Ebony demons leading twisted and grotesque creatures, roiling dust clouds trailing behind them, charging toward the position of the intruders.
"Outer perimeter troops, I suppose," Yubel commented. "These demons reacted quickly; we've only just arrived and they've already noticed?"
"Indeed, it seems quicker than the vampires' response," Youyu added.
But a certain vampire present was not pleased by this remark.
"Actually, I noticed you on the first day you arrived," Fraulein pouted, her voice dwindling, "but... but I couldn't win against you, so what could I do..."
She stole a glance at Youyu.
If she had had any doubts before, she was now certain that her longtime adversary, the mage Necromancer Lamore, was indeed dead, defeated by this man in another dimension.
Seeing Lamore's card in Youyu's hand was somewhat unbelievable.
Comparatively, she considered herself lucky—not only had she been turned into a card, but at least her life was spared. Lamore, on the other hand, had become a card and perished...
Indeed, the Necromancer Lamore in Youyu's possession was merely a card now. Although usable, the spirit dwelling within had passed.
This reminded Fraulein of the words spoken by the Vampire Lady upon her betrayal.
The Lady mocked her as a 'frog in the well,' claiming she and Lamore, even the Supreme King himself, were just the same.
Looking back on the Lady's demeanor and tone now, it indeed didn't seem like a bluff. Fraulein believed if the Lady truly had confidence in her backing, she wouldn't have dared betray her, let alone talk of "replacing the Supreme King and unifying the Twelfth Dimension."
Yet, even as the Vampire Lady perished at the hands of the Dimensional Warriors, her so-called backing never revealed itself.
This left Fraulein again wondering if her words were true.
But after dueling with Youyu, she felt from the bottom of her heart that this man was unprecedentedly strong, possibly stronger than any of the commanders including herself and Lamore.
In her mind, only the Supreme King could match him.
When Fraulein asked Youyu if there were duelists stronger than him, he replied without hesitation, "Of course there are."
Fraulein was surprised at the time, "Stronger than you?"
"Definitely. I'm just getting started. Have you seen Dragon Ruler? Thunder Dragon? Zoodiac?" Youyu replied matter-of-factly.
Fraulein blankly shook her head, suddenly feeling like a clueless student in class.
For a moment, she truly felt like a 'frog in the well,' hearing of things she was entirely unaware of...
"Alright then," Youyu twisted his neck and stretched his muscles, heading toward the charging Dark World army, "Let's wrap up this dimension quickly and move on."
The players eagerly responded, swiftly activating their Duel Discs in preparation for the charge.
However, before they could take action, the sound of a heavy rumble interrupted the charge.
The sound came from the direction they had arrived.
Everyone turned to look and saw...
...a flying steel behemoth.
The engine roared heavily, numerous turbines simultaneously emitting invisible afterburners downward. It had a streamline shell with headlights like eyes, designed like a spaceship from sci-fi movies.
Its shell bore the distinctive "KC" mark.
"Huh?" Youyu raised his eyebrows, "President?"
The hatch of the flying machine opened with a clatter, revealing President Kaiba Seto, landing in a familiar superhero pose—dashing and grand yet seemingly hard on the knees—as he confidently landed in front of everyone.
A white beam burst forth behind him, the noble and majestic White Dragon swung its head! It screeched fiercely, the dazzling white light tearing through the darkness, piercing the pitch-black sky of the Dark World!
"Blue-Eyes White Dragon, attack!" Kaiba shouted at the top of his lungs, "Burst Stream of Destruction!!!"
The monsters summoned in this dimension could already materialize, and those with dwelling spirits could exert powers far greater than their real-world counterparts.
During the Ancient Egypt's spirit battles, Blue-Eyes White Dragon could rival the Egyptian Gods. The Dark World minions had never seen such remarkable spirits; the devastating white light obliterated the entire squad in one strike, causing armor and flesh to vanish together, leaving not even a scrap of bone.
President Kaiba laughed passionately in a three-part manner.
"Hahaha!!!" He raised his arm triumphantly, "Smashing! Jade Shattering! Applaud! Tremble in the face of absolute power!"
Interestingly, the spirit of the Maiden with Eyes of Blue floated beside him, clapping her hands for him, as if it wasn't she who had obliterated the minions with a single beam, but the President himself.
Youyu's face turned dark, "President, why are you here?"
