Chapter 62 - Chapter 62: Forever Friday

"Obito, have you encountered something good recently? You seem to be in a great mood," Nohara Rin asked curiously upon seeing Obito unusually cheerful today.

"Of course, because good days are about to come," Obito laughed sheepishly.

Although the battle rules changed and the questions seemed to have increased, there was training to offset it. And with installment work, the actual number of questions done each day hasn't changed much.

Now as he gradually grows stronger, the questions are becoming fewer. With offset and installments, wouldn't good days be approaching?

"Obito, you've finally remembered the date, huh? Want to hang out together tomorrow?" Nohara Rin assumed that the good day Obito mentioned was the weekend, so she invited him.

"The date, hang out tomorrow?" Obito looked a bit puzzled, then thought of a frightening possibility.

"Is today another Friday?" Obito asked Nohara Rin.

"Yes, isn't the good day you mentioned the weekend?" Nohara Rin nodded and then asked.

Obito fell silent; it felt like yesterday was Sunday, so how could it be Friday again today?

In a daze, Obito recalled experiencing this scene several times before.

"Am I trapped in a world with only Fridays and weekends?" Obito clutched his head, unable to accept the reality.

"Obito, what's wrong? You look very troubled." Nohara Rin didn't quite understand.

How could any student show a pained expression at the start of the weekend when breaks are supposed to be enjoyable?

"Because I love school and studying too much, so the thought of not being able to attend school is very distressing," Obito forcefully explained.

Obito wasn't going to tell Nohara Rin the embarrassing truth about piling up weekend questions and being unable to finish them.

"So, Obito, you love studying so much?" Nohara Rin was a bit surprised, feeling this probably had something to do with Obito's progress this semester.

"Do you still want to go out tomorrow?" Nohara Rin asked.

"Let's go out tonight!" Obito replied.

After rule changes, he really lacked the energy to go out during the weekend.

Almost the whole day was spent on cultivation and doing questions, by night he didn't even want to move.

Whenever he thought about Might Guy still managing some extra self-training after his sessions, Obito felt a shiver down his spine. What kind of body and will was that!

"Could it be that Guy doesn't get tired?" Obito looked towards Might Guy, who was engrossed in his work, puzzled.

"I hope weekends also have installment-free options," Obito thought back to yesterday, silently praying to the kind Sage Mokgetsu in his heart.

After school, Obito went to the cultivation area as usual, being the last to arrive.

Mokgetsu called the three together and assigned them tasks.

"Guy, kick that tree with all your might," Mokgetsu casually pointed at a lush tree.

Might Guy nodded, stood before the tree, and unleashed a rapid Tornado Kick.

Crash! The tree fell with a loud sound, snapped directly by Might Guy's kick.

"My strength can already snap a large tree." Might Guy was a bit surprised.

He had thought Mokgetsu's quick legwork in snapping a tree was impressive; he hadn't expected to achieve it so soon himself.

Then Mokgetsu used Ninjutsu to create a large pit, filling it with water using Water Release, and instructed Obito:

"Obito, attack the water pit with all your might using the Great Fireball."

Following Mokgetsu's instructions, Obito formed seals and spat out a gigantic fireball, instantly evaporating all the water in the pit, leaving only scorched earth.

"This is the power of my Fire Release," Obito's eyes widened, realizing it was a pit several meters wide.

Three months ago, he couldn't even evaporate a half-meter water pit with his small fireball.

Then Mokgetsu had them review tree climbing, water walking, and a series of training drills again.

Obito suddenly realized he had truly gotten much stronger. Those water-walking exercises that used to leave him embarrassed now allowed him to casually run around without being knocked over by waves.

He could leisurely walk up the tallest trees, melt ice blocks the size of two heads, and cast the Great Fireball and Mighty Dragon Fire with ease.

Finally, Mokgetsu gave Obito and Might Guy a simulation test.

"Sixty points? Is this my score?" Obito was more shocked looking at the score than he was seeing his Fire Release evaporate a water pit.

Last exam he barely got thirty; this sixty was an unprecedented high score!

"Fifty-four points!" Might Guy clutched his paper, tears of emotion flowing freely.

Just like Obito, he felt it was exceptionally high, almost unreal.

Obito couldn't help but ask, "Teacher Mokgetsu, are you really the Six Paths Sage?"

All the hard work finally paid off, and everything bore fruit.

Nature transformation, Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Chakra control, and even theoretical scores—Obito felt he had improved in all areas, a significant improvement.

At this moment, Obito felt that the daily questions and weekend-long training didn't matter anymore because he had gained so much.

Continuing this path, perhaps he could really become the Hokage of Konoha.

"Saying such nice things, are you hoping for another interest-free day today?" Mokgetsu asked with a smile.

"Hehe, it'd be best if tomorrow could be interest-free too," Obito laughed awkwardly.

Though now he felt nothing of doing questions, doing fewer would still be preferable.

"You're dreaming; special benefits were limited to yesterday only." Mokgetsu knocked Obito's head lightly with his two fingers together.

The sudden training summary was meant to let his disciples see their own progress and thus be more motivated in cultivation.

Timely positive feedback is crucial, and Mokgetsu planned to conduct such training summaries at intervals.

With his disciples' spirits lifted, Mokgetsu didn't waste the moment and presented his handwritten calligraphy to the three disciples.

[You received Uchiha Obito's personal calligraphy as a gift, and due to his extreme gratitude, a reward was triggered, obtaining the Earth Release: Earth Spear (skilled level).]

A wealth of experience on cultivating Earth Release: Earth Spear surfaced in Mokgetsu's mind, instantly grasping the variety of practical uses for this Ninjutsu in combat.

Mokgetsu nodded to himself, feeling the reward was substantial.

This is a highly practical Earth Release Ninjutsu that can harden any part of the body, offering both offensive and defensive advantages, making it extremely useful.

Whether defending against close-range attacks or hardening for offensive moves, it proves remarkably effective.

"Not forgetting one's original intention?" Obito pondered for a moment, unable to derive any particular meaning, and decided to let it be.

"Rewards come to those who work hard." Might Guy scratched his head, vaguely discerning the intent, and smiled.

Even without this training summary, his motivation would remain unwavering.

"The virtuous receive more assistance, the less virtuous receive less..." Shisui also struggled to decipher Mokgetsu's calligraphy.

What defines the virtuous and the less virtuous?
