The number of people in Group B was significantly higher than in Group A, so when Obito arrived, Group B was still undergoing actual combat tests.
Obito scanned the students watching from the sidelines and quickly spotted the figure of Nohara Rin.
With a face brimming with excitement, Obito approached Nohara Rin, saying, "Hey Rin, you have no idea how awesome I just was. Guy originally had the advantage, but I still defeated him."
Upon hearing Obito's voice, Nohara Rin turned around and, with some confusion, asked, "Is the exam for Group A already over?"
"Yeah, it's over. I came in second place, just lost to Shisui," Obito couldn't help but share his impressive results with Nohara Rin.
"Wow, you finally beat Guy, which means you've made great progress, Obito. In the previous school combat exams, you never won against Guy." Nohara Rin showed a gentle smile and praised him, feeling genuinely happy for Obito's advancement.
Last semester, Obito's skills improved by leaps and bounds, even defeating the former top student Uchiha Tekka, but Might Guy, who had also made tremendous progress, became the obstacle in the way of Obito achieving the top spot.
With Might Guy around, there were occasions when Obito ranked second grade-wise, yet never managed to get first place in class.
That's why, learning that Obito finally defeated Might Guy made Nohara Rin very pleased, indicating that Obito had made notable progress.
"Hehe, I used to have chances to beat him, but every time, I fell just short," Obito shyly explained, feeling happy after receiving compliments from Nohara Rin.
If it was just based on raw strength, actually, in this battle, his strength was at a disadvantage; the key to his victory was the strategy used during the fight.
"By the way, how did you do, Rin? Did you make it into the top ten?" Obito asked.
"No, it seems everyone is improving so fast." Nohara Rin shook her head in response.
Her practical combat abilities were only at a middle level in Class B, so making it into the top ten was practically impossible.
"I see, how about I teach you how to become stronger?" Seeing Rin a bit disappointed in her capabilities, Obito extended a passionate offer.
"Sure," Nohara Rin nodded and smiled, considering how Obito had made leaps and bounds in his abilities.
Obito led Rin to a corner and pondered on what he should teach her.
Techniques like Soru, Mighty Dragon Fire, Leaf Whirlwind definitely couldn't be taught; Teacher Mokgetsu taught them to him, and he couldn't just teach them without Mokgetsu's permission.
Then Obito thought of the Great Fireball, which even though Mokgetsu also taught him, Obito already knew it himself.
"How about I teach you the Great Fireball Jutsu, Rin? Even though it's a C-rank Fire Release, it's quite powerful." Obito decided to teach Rin the Great Fireball.
"First, there's the hand signs." Obito swiftly demonstrated the hand signs for the Great Fireball.
"Then, you transform your internal chakra into flames, and finally, like blowing a balloon, you exhale a big fireball." Obito gestured as he explained.
Nohara Rin looked at Obito with a puzzled expression.
"Didn't you get it, Rin?" Obito scratched his head, feeling he had explained quite thoroughly and thought he might make a good teacher.
"First, you do this, then that, and finally, you blow it out like a balloon," Obito gestured once more.
Nohara Rin was unsure how to evaluate Obito's teaching methods; she saw his genuine desire to teach her the Great Fireball Jutsu, but found the instruction quite abstract.
"Thanks for the effort, Obito, but I don't even know my own chakra attribute," Rin said helplessly.
In the Ninja World, everyone is born with a chakra attribute, and cultivating your innate attribute's nature transformation is easier and faster.
"I see." Obito scratched his hair, feeling a bit regretful that he couldn't help Rin.
He resolved to ask Sage Mokgetsu tonight during cultivation how to effectively teach someone to become stronger.
After the teaching plan failed, Obito and Rin started chatting until a commotion arose on the training field.
"It should be Teacher Mokgetsu announcing the exam results now," Rin said as she saw a crowd gathering near the bulletin board.
"Let's go, Rin, let's check it out," Obito said eagerly, leading Rin toward the bulletin board.
Even though he already knew his own results, Obito wanted to see if anyone would praise him for being amazing.
But upon approaching, Obito discovered that the most-discussed topic wasn't even himself or the first-place Shisui, but Ebisu, who had just joined Group A last week.
"You don't know what happened during Group C's exam; two people used refreshing, big sister clones in battle to confuse their opponents."
"Oh, I've heard about this. But it wasn't developed by them, right? I remember it was Ebisu who debuted this technique when he advanced to Group A."
"Yeah, he's the one who developed it."
"I know that guy. He usually seems pretty serious, but who would've thought..."
Listening to the discussions around him, Obito was baffled, unclear about what happened that shifted everyone's attention away from the top two in Group A to Ebisu.
Moreover, it got more and more far-fetched, developing into a story where Ebisu used clone jutsu to summon a refreshing big sister to confuse opponents in battle.
Obito thought about asking Ebisu for clarification, but he realized that Ebisu probably left right after the exam, perhaps due to his poor performance and losing in the first round, making it impossible for Obito to find him.
After announcing the exam results, Mokgetsu returned directly to his home in the main district, with no system pop-up appearing about the examination.
Returning home, Mokgetsu started preparing the Magical Mapo Tofu.
The system's recipe for Magical Mapo Tofu differed from the traditional one Mokgetsu had in his mind, primarily because it required soybeans.
To be precise, it used "meat" made from soybeans.
Soaking the soybeans in water, cooking them in a broth, then flattening the soybeans and seasoning with sauce to give them a meaty texture, finally a quick fry to lock in the sauce's flavor.
Adding the fried soybeans to the Mapo Tofu gave the dish an extra layer of flavor, thus creating the Magical Mapo Tofu.
After finishing, Mokgetsu placed a lid over the platter to add a bit of ceremony to the dish.
Soon, Kushina and Minato knocked on Mokgetsu's door.
The moment Minato and Kushina entered, they noticed the cover on the dining table, which was unusual.
"What's with the cover?" Kushina asked casually.
"Maybe it's to keep the dishes warm? Today's meal preparations started earlier than usual," Minato speculated.
"Stop guessing, lift the cover and you'll see," Mokgetsu said with a smile as he placed two more dishes on the dining table.
"Let me do it," Kushina said, quickly stepping forward to lift the cover.
