Chapter 300 - Chapter 174: Some Disciples Acting Strange

However, noticing that Obito and the others might be preparing for a graduation celebration, Mokgetsu decided to temporarily change the plan.

He was never a rigid person; if his disciples needed more free time, he wouldn't put too much pressure on them.

"Alright!" Obito cheered aloud.

He directly ignored the word "temporary." A training session without fixed subjects is the best kind of training session.

Shisui sighed in relief as well; although his gift could already be considered ready, he still wanted to refine it and put more effort into the gift box. If there were too many subjects, his energy would inevitably be diverted.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

Mokgetsu formed a seal and created two shadow clones, which separated and walked a short distance away.

Shisui and Obito simultaneously changed their breathing rhythm, entering a state of Full Concentration Breathing to inhale a large amount of oxygen and enhance themselves.

"Begin!" Mokgetsu shouted when he saw the two were ready.

Obito charged toward Mokgetsu's shadow clone with his fist raised.

However, Mokgetsu's shadow clone didn't dodge; it stood there waiting for Obito's attack to arrive and then sidestepped to avoid Obito's straight punch.

Obito quickly swung his arm toward the shadow clone's head while simultaneously kicking out with his left foot, but all these attacks were seen through by the shadow clone, who easily dodged Obito's flurry of punches and kicks with a retreat.

Unconvinced, Obito activated his Two-Tomoe Sharingan, his eyes turning blood-red, and continued his attack.

Then Obito found the activated Sharingan even more frustrating because he could clearly sense that he was just a hair's breadth away from hitting Mokgetsu.

"Fire Release: Impatiens Fire Jutsu!"

Obito directly formed seals to use ninjutsu because Mokgetsu had said they could use any means.

As the seals were formed, a large amount of chakra gathered in Obito's throat, and he spat out numerous small fireballs towards the shadow clone.

Simultaneously, Obito began sprinting at full power, hoping to seize the moment Mokgetsu dodged the ninjutsu to land a hit.

However, Mokgetsu appeared much more composed than he had anticipated, skillfully using the trees of the Southern Border Forest to dissolve all the Impatiens Fire attacks, rendering Obito's Fire Release offensive ineffective.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu!"

Shisui gathered his chakra and then spat out a massive flame, the fiercely burning orange flames quickly forming a two-meter-high fireball hurling toward Mokgetsu.

But it wasn't over yet; without forming seals, Shisui spat out another comparably sized Great Fireball, and the two fireballs were launched in different directions.

In fact, this could be called Great Fire Continuous Balls, enabling him to spit out two at once in a short time, reducing the power of each fireball but increasing the coverage area.

"Earth Release: Earth Flow Wall!" Mokgetsu's shadow clone formed seals to use Earth Release, and a thick earth wall rose to block the two fireballs.

Shisui was slightly taken aback but quickly remembered that the shadow clone was just not attacking them. Mokgetsu hadn't said the shadow clone couldn't use ninjutsu.

Shisui activated his Sharingan to start the next round of attacks. After fighting with the shadow clone for five minutes, Shisui obtained a hidden piece of information.

Only when he attacked with ninjutsu would the shadow clone possibly use ninjutsu to defend. If he didn't attack with ninjutsu, no matter how critical the situation became, the shadow clone wouldn't use ninjutsu. There was an instance where he almost touched the shadow clone, yet the clone still didn't use any ninjutsu.

"Is this to train grasp of combat timing?" A hypothesis formed in Shisui's mind.

If it was indeed as he guessed, then the timing of using ninjutsu became crucial, requiring a very nuanced degree of mastery.

He couldn't let the shadow clone sense that without using ninjutsu, evasion was impossible. At the same time, he really needed to have the ability to disrupt the clone's positioning.

Although Shisui had this thought, practically implementing it was still quite difficult. After a ten-minute training session ended, Shisui hadn't managed to hit the shadow clone even once.

"Both of you have zero hits in ten minutes," Mokgetsu announced the results.

"It's so difficult; it's like fighting a weakened version of you, Master," Obito remarked after pondering.

"My shadow clone doesn't attack you; in a real fight, you'd have been defeated long ago." Mokgetsu pinched his fingers together and tapped Obito on the head.

At this time, Obito's Sharingan was still activated, watching hopelessly as he got tapped, unable to dodge.

"The difficulty isn't much tougher than last time; you can overcome it with breakthroughs, and you need to think more during combat," Mokgetsu reminded Obito.

Among his disciples, Kakashi had the strongest combat ability, followed by Shisui and Might Guy. There wasn't enough data on Nohara Rin to analyze, and Obito was essentially at the bottom.

If all other abilities were equal, Mokgetsu felt that Obito's chances of defeating Kakashi were slim.

Kakashi's combat analysis abilities are strong, and he has rich fighting experience. Although currently, his hard skills don't match Obito's or Might Guy's, once his abilities catch up, his strength won't be weak.

"I understand. I'll strive to enhance my combat abilities in this training," Obito replied, smiling sheepishly and scratching his head, feeling Mokgetsu's intentions.

In this area, he indeed wasn't as adept as Might Guy and Shisui, having overturned many advantages in battles against Might Guy before.
