The two who stood up quickly, joined by Kakashi who rushed back, surrounded Minato from three different directions.
The first to act was Obito; in this extreme state, his breathing couldn't last long, so he needed to finish the fight quickly.
After Obito rushed forward, Nohara Rin once again used her monster strength to charge at Minato, while Kakashi used the Instant Body Jutsu to stab at Minato with a kunai.
Minato unhurriedly tossed a kunai in Obito's direction.
As Obito dodged the kunai by sidestepping, Minato's figure disappeared and reappeared behind Obito, punching him to the ground.
"It must be linked to the kunai!" Seeing Minato use the Flying Thunder God from the front, Kakashi immediately deduced that Minato's divine Instant Body Jutsu was related to the kunai he had thrown.
"Damn it!" The girl he cared about was right in front of him, and yet he was either knocked back or down to the ground. The flame inside Obito reignited, and he ignored everything else, directly using the characteristic of the Breath of Flame to ignite his foot with fire as he kicked at Minato, quietly forming seals with his left hand.
Minato leapt back to avoid it, while Obito, having completed his seals, flipped and spat several small fireballs towards Minato.
"To think he can use Fire Release in such a situation?" Minato was incredibly surprised.
Just moments ago, Obito was lying face-down on the ground, unable to form seals at all.
Swish!
Minato's body vanished from everyone's sight again, and Kakashi instantly unleashed his chakra, using Soru at its fullest to dash towards Minato's Flying Thunder God kunai.
On the field, there were a total of three Flying Thunder God kunai. The first kunai was used to attack Kakashi and Nohara Rin, now further away from them. The second was used by Minato to attack Obito and Nohara Rin, and the third was the one that put Obito down. Kakashi rushed towards the second kunai.
At this moment, the kunai next to Obito wasn't safe, as it could get a face-full of Phoenix Fire, and the first kunai was too far. Thus, with the second kunai being closer to Nohara Rin, Kakashi judged that Minato would transfer to the location of the second Flying Thunder God kunai.
"Full concentration, Breath of Thunder!"
Kakashi inhaled a large amount of oxygen to strengthen his body, then concentrated his power in his legs, swiftly performing lightning attribute chakra nature changes, reinforcing his legs with lightning attribute chakra, and reaching peak speed.
After Minato used the Flying Thunder God, he initially intended to attack Nohara Rin, but upon noticing Kakashi speeding towards him, he immediately switched to defense.
"Has he already figured out the effect of the Flying Thunder God? Such strong analytical skills," Minato thought in astonishment.
Minato's reaction was extremely fast, even faster than Kakashi's speed; although Kakashi acted decisively, he still couldn't successfully hit Minato.
The attack missed, but Kakashi, who was close to Minato, showed no discouragement and instead smiled slightly.
Minato couldn't see Kakashi's expression under the mask, yet he keenly sensed something was off, and then noticed the explosive tag attached to Kakashi.
"Boom."
BOOM!!
A loud explosion resounded, engulfing Kakashi and Minato in firelight.
"Kakashi is really devious," Obito sighed in relief.
Of course, Kakashi wouldn't mutually destroy himself with Minato over a training exercise; ever since they went looking for Minato, Kakashi had always been a shadow clone.
Everything was part of Kakashi's plan; Obito's shadow clone was the first bait, and Kakashi's own shadow clone was the second bait.
The smoke cleared, but once again, only the ground was scorched black, with nothing else present.
Swish!
Minato appeared at the location of the first Flying Thunder God, but as soon as he appeared, he saw Kakashi charging at him, wielding purple lightning.
Sizzle!!
Kakashi controlled the purple lightning, splitting it into numerous lightning serpents, surging towards Minato like a tidal wave. Minato's swift reaction allowed him to evade the attack; however, Kakashi's goal wasn't to hit Minato's body but to seize the bell from Minato's waist.
Small lightning bolts struck the bell, causing it to fall, which Kakashi, with his explosive speed, grasped in his hand.
"Captain Minato, does this mean the training is a success?" Kakashi asked calmly.
"Indeed, it's a success. To be honest, I'm quite surprised by your performance," Minato smiled.
The performance of his squad members had truly exceeded his expectations. Although he had held back significantly, without even using his important perception abilities, he remained the Yellow Flash who ran rampant on the battlefield. For Kakashi and them to seize the bell from him in one go was not easy at all.
Obito's Fire Release was not only powerful, but also had a release method unfamiliar to him. If not for Obito's fallen Phoenix Fire just now, he wouldn't have been forced to use the Flying Thunder God twice in succession.
Kakashi possessed extraordinary combat intelligence, analyzing his Flying Thunder God with just a few exchanges and immediately devising a strategy to capture the bell.
Even Nohara Rin had her moments in the spotlight, using her monster strength to force him into the Flying Thunder God trap.
Minato felt that the three in his squad, even an average Jonin might not be able to easily defeat them without being cautious; their combat abilities were truly not to be underestimated.
"It's finally over, Senior Minato, you really are fast." Obito, having rushed to support Kakashi, sighed hearing their conversation.
Mokgetsu was also fast, but Mokgetsu's speed was different from Minato's; Mokgetsu was fast enough for Obito to sense a blue light flashing by, albeit unclear, whereas Minato's speed was eerily like disappearing and reappearing out of thin air.
"Sorry, it seems I didn't contribute much," Nohara Rin felt like she coasted along to victory.
Due to her long-term cultivation of medical ninjutsu, which weakened her combat abilities, Nohara Rin hadn't participated in Mokgetsu's internal team battles; the only combat she had was during real-world exams with fellow students. Fighting suddenly with a strong opponent like Minato, Nohara Rin truly felt like she was purely tagging along, unable to keep up with the rhythm.
Hearing Nohara Rin's words, Obito disagreed, saying, "That's not true. Without you, Rin, Kakashi's shadow clone would have been easily destroyed, unable to play a major role. Plus, that punch driving back Senior Minato was really impressive."
He wasn't saying it solely out of his feelings for Nohara Rin; he genuinely believed the battle would have been different without her.
"Obito is right, Rin, you just played a different role in the battle than we did," Kakashi nodded in agreement.
In gaming terms, Kakashi and Obito were the main damage dealers, while Nohara Rin was the support; the main role of support, of course, is not dealing damage.
In fact, Kakashi believed that the current team composition was more reasonable, given that Nohara Rin mastered medical ninjutsu. If he and Obito were injured, she could still provide treatment.
Fighting with Might Guy would be different; the three could only charge through recklessly.
Hearing Kakashi's and Obito's words, Nohara Rin felt much better, but she also secretly resolved to work harder on cultivating Taijutsu, striving to play a bigger role in battles.
"This internship program Mokgetsu devised is indeed excellent. If future graduates can collaborate like this, the Genin strength in the village will increase significantly," Minato recalled Obito and Kakashi's teamwork and felt the intern program could be further promoted.
Obito's coordination with Kakashi, from interning together, was evidently better than Nohara Rin's. With just an exchange of glances, Obito and Kakashi could understand each other's thoughts and execute them.
"You completed the training earlier than I expected; take a rest today and practice combat coordination again later. Tomorrow, I'll take you on a mission," Minato thought for a moment and planned their next course of action.
This coordination training primarily targeted Nohara Rin; Obito and Kakashi had no issues at all.
"Yay, we get to go on missions again," Obito cheered.
He was eagerly anticipating the chance to defeat various enemies in front of Nohara Rin and enjoy her admiration.
"Ninja missions..." Nohara Rin recalled what Obito had told her about his mission experiences, feeling a slight sense of anticipation in her heart.
Kakashi initially wanted to tell Obito not to get excited too early, but seeing that Nohara Rin seemed a bit expectant as well, he decided not to say anything. Now even his experience was slightly lacking.
