Chapter 436 - Chapter 257: Special Training Enhancement Rewards Settlement (Part 2)

The rewards are quite abundant. Indeed, the more people, the more rewards. Last time, only 800 Chakra points were given, but this time, an additional 1,000 points are awarded, along with items that increase Nature Transformation experience.

In fact, the regular class rewards alone meet Mokgetsu's expectations, as he managed to elevate his proficient-level Earth Attribute Nature Transformation and Lightning Attribute Nature Transformation to the master level through teaching.

It's incredibly difficult to advance Nature Transformation to the master level as it offers fewer rewards in itself, and the chance of receiving a Nature Transformation reward is very slim.

However, Mokgetsu certainly doesn't find the rewards excessive; whether it's Chakra or skills, the more, the better for him.

Since Sarutobi Hiruzen was still present, Mokgetsu didn't extract any Ninjutsu or use an Experience Scroll. After interacting with the students, he quickly moved over to Sarutobi Hiruzen, who was listening to other teachers' feedback.

When Mokgetsu arrived, the teachers had just about finished speaking, and Sarutobi Hiruzen turned to Mokgetsu with a smile, saying:

"Mokgetsu, everyone greatly appreciates the results of your special training. I underestimated your teaching ability earlier. I didn't expect you could single-handedly instruct over 600 students so excellently and even teach them your Ninjutsu. Not promoting you would be unfair given your contributions."

Shimotsuke Hisanobu felt a jolt in his heart. He had envisioned Mokgetsu replacing him as the leader of the teacher cohort since Mokgetsu was both diligent and excellent, but he did not expect it to happen so quickly.

Mokgetsu had only been at the Ninja Academy for just over a year. Normally, no matter how excellent one is, it takes a few years to gain enough seniority.

As for why Shimotsuke Hisanobu was certain Mokgetsu would replace him, it was because Mokgetsu had reached the highest position possible at the Ninja Academy; it couldn't be replacing Sarutobi Hiruzen as the principal, after all.

"What do you all think of Mokgetsu becoming the vice principal?" Sarutobi Hiruzen smiled as he looked around at the teachers and asked.

The teachers he brought weren't ordinary; either they had received outstanding teacher awards or held mid-to-upper-level positions in the school.

Shimotsuke Hisanobu breathed a sigh of relief; it wasn't about being the leader of the teacher cohort, just the vice principal.

"Wait, vice principal?" Shimotsuke Hisanobu replayed Sarutobi Hiruzen's words in his mind, and his expression gradually turned to surprise.

The Ninja Academy never had a vice principal position; there's only ever been a principal, and the principal has always been the Hokage.

"Teacher Mokgetsu has exceptional educational capabilities, and the holiday training and internship programs have pioneered unprecedented initiatives, making significant contributions to the Ninja Academy. Having Teacher Mokgetsu as the vice principal is more than fitting," Shimotsuke Hisanobu considered and said.

Although there wasn't a vice principal position before, if Sarutobi Hiruzen said there is, then there can be one.

However, Shimotsuke Hisanobu was still quite shocked, feeling that Sarutobi Hiruzen had created this position specifically for Mokgetsu, which clearly showed his importance.

Even someone as seasoned as Shimotsuke Hisanobu was taken aback, let alone the other teachers, whose expressions clearly showed their astonishment.

"It's the same people, but why is there such a big difference?" Iketani Isamu, who shared an office with Mokgetsu, couldn't even muster envy due to the vast gap.

The events happening to Mokgetsu were beyond what he could dream of, as he would consider them too implausible.

Once the teachers came to their senses, they all recognized the appointment. This was a position that none of the previous teacher cohort leaders had achieved.

Upon hearing Sarutobi Hiruzen's words, Mokgetsu also showed a surprised expression, then modestly remarked that he might be too young to shoulder such a heavy responsibility.

Of course, this didn't mean Mokgetsu truly didn't want the position; being in a higher role at the Ninja Academy facilitated enacting various reforms, but the necessary formalities had to be observed as previous precedents had been set.

The subsequent process involved the teachers recounting the accomplishments, and then Sarutobi Hiruzen speaking again, ultimately leading to Mokgetsu accepting the role of vice principal.

With that, the matter was concluded, and both students and teachers went their separate ways.

"Izumo, today is the day we make a name for ourselves!" Hagane Kotetsu said excitedly, looking at Sarutobi Hiruzen's departing figure and addressing Kamizuki Izumo.

Kamizuki Izumo nodded, equally excited, "With outstanding ability and now being valued by the Hokage, we might just leave our mark in history."

"It's just a pity for Brother Ebisu. Perhaps the idea was originally his, but due to our strong bond, he painfully relinquished it to us," Hagane Kotetsu displayed an expression of deep regret.

Upon hearing Hagane Kotetsu's words, Kamizuki Izumo found merit in them. Climbing to the top is great, but they should not forget the big brother who provided immense help.

"Let's do this then; we'll create a clone resembling Brother Ebisu to challenge the Hokage as well," Kamizuki Izumo came up with a brilliant idea.

"You always come up with the best plans, Izumo. Even the Second Hokage wouldn't think of a better one. Brother Ebisu will definitely be grateful," Hagane Kotetsu lightly tapped Kamizuki Izumo's chest with his fist, displaying a jubilant smile.

He seemed to foresee his own success, as well as Ebisu's grateful smile.

The two of them immediately set off, jogging in the direction Sarutobi Hiruzen had left.

Meanwhile, after everything was over, Mokgetsu returned to his house in the main city to rest.

The rewards from six weeks of classes were nice, but exhausting. After all, even though his body was strong, it was not made of iron, and the fatigue was real.
