Chapter 1119 - Chapter 547: The Necklace Worth Three Mines

"The situation is very unfavorable for us right now, we must resolve the Hidden Mist Squad as quickly as possible."

In the Hokage Office, Sarutobi Hiruzen was discussing the war situation with Mokgetsu.

"Yes, I'll defeat the Hidden Mist as soon as conditions allow," Mokgetsu nodded.

"Then I await your good news," Sarutobi Hiruzen said with a chuckle.

Were it not for the lack of suitable candidates, he truly wouldn't want Mokgetsu on the battlefield now—he's a super genius combined with Wood Release.

"Regarding the squad personnel, do you have any requests, Mokgetsu?"

As long as the people Mokgetsu wants aren't on confidential missions, Sarutobi Hiruzen can provide them to facilitate Mokgetsu's plans.

"How about Kakashi and his group, they haven't had a mission in a while," Mokgetsu replied.

Although this appears to be a regular defeat, Mokgetsu thinks Uchiha Madara might have a hand in it.

After all, Konoha's current predicament is essentially the result of Uchiha Madara and Black Zetsu's covert promotion.

Mokgetsu can see Uchiha Madara's aim is merely to create more chaos for seizing opportunities.

However, Mokgetsu, who knows the plot, is the one facing Uchiha Madara.

He knows Madara wants to find a successor, so Mokgetsu won't grant him the chance; even if the situation is chaotic, with him leading his disciples on missions, Madara's scheme won't easily succeed.

"Alright, but Kakashi and his group are your disciples, Mokgetsu; you inform them yourself—the Ninja Squad has already started assembling," Sarutobi Hiruzen nodded.

Due to Mokgetsu, Sarutobi Hiruzen hardly actively assigned missions to Kakashi and his group, leaving them to decide for themselves.

After parting with Sarutobi Hiruzen, Mokgetsu divided a Shadow Clone to notify Shisui at the training camp, while his main body headed to the Southern Border Forest.

In the original story, Madara targeted Obito, but Mokgetsu couldn't rule out the possibility of Madara considering Shisui as an alternative, so Shisui must also be brought along to prevent accidents.

When Mokgetsu arrived at the Southern Border Forest, the disciples were still in cultivation.

"Anyone who needs to, go home and pack up; we're about to start a mission," Mokgetsu announced to stop the training.

Obito showed interest, but before he could speak, Mokgetsu continued:

"This mission, though within the Land of Fire, is still going to the battlefield—it's a battle against the Hidden Mist's Ninja Squad."

"It's a large-scale war mission then," Obito's expression grew serious.

He's no longer a newcomer who hasn't been on the battlefield; he understands the dangers of war.

"To think it's domestic, and against Hidden Mist Village's ninjas," Kakashi showed a pondering expression.

Due to focusing entirely on cultivation recently, he hasn't paid much attention to the Ninja World's situation.

Even so, Kakashi can sense some issues from Konoha's overall atmosphere.

"Teacher Mokgetsu, will Shisui be joining this task?" Kakashi paused to ask.

Given Konoha's current predicament, the likelihood of something happening to Mokgetsu on the battlefield increases.

They're still far from Mokgetsu's level, but not the level of regular Jonin, so Kakashi hopes Mokgetsu also brings Shisui for added strength.

After all, they've promised to change the future together.

"Yes, I sent a Shadow Clone to notify him," Mokgetsu replied.

"Teacher Mokgetsu, do we return to the Southern Border Forest after we're ready, or gather somewhere else?" Nohara Rin asked.

"Go to Training Area Eleven; the Ninja Squad will gather there."

"Goodbye, Teacher Mokgetsu and everyone else; I'm going back to take some things," Nohara Rin smiled and waved before departing.

Soon after, Kakashi and Obito also left, needing to replenish their ninja tools.

Might Guy didn't need to replenish ninja tools, but since going to the battlefield is not a trivial matter, he went home to inform his family.

Yamato was in class during this time, so Mokgetsu didn't disturb him, but he arranged someone to notify him.

Then Mokgetsu visited Tsunade's home.

Tsunade was quite happy at first, thinking she could join a meal, but upon hearing Mokgetsu say he's going to the battlefield, her face fell.

"Why are there always so many troublemakers in the Ninja World, can't it be peaceful for a few more years," Tsunade couldn't help but sigh.

Missing one meal wouldn't matter; Tsunade worried it might be meals forever.

"Did you come just to say this, or to ask me to join you on the battlefield?"

"Actually, no, since I have to command the squad anyway—besides, even if you join me in the battlefield, Tsunade, I can't offer you three meals a day," Mokgetsu tactfully declined.

Tsunade's strength is considerable, and her medical skills are extremely high with formidable healing capabilities, but currently, Tsunade's issues remain unresolved, her power can't be fully utilized, and can't provide much support to Mokgetsu.

Thus, it's better for Tsunade to continue staying in Konoha, where it's safer.

"Three meals a day? My appearance fee would be four meals a day at least."

Tsunade crossed her arms with a dissatisfied look, uncertain whether feeling underestimated by Mokgetsu or actually thinking the pay was too low.

"Of course, since you, Lady Tsunade, are the strongest Medical Ninja in the Ninja World," Mokgetsu said flatly.

"That's generally known," Tsunade claimed grandly.

Then Tsunade, after considering something, showed hesitation, eventually removed the necklace around her neck, saying:

"Are you still learning Wood Release? If you are, you can borrow this necklace for a while; it was left by my grandfather and contains his Chakra."
