Chapter 821 - Chapter 70: A Lightless World

Chains from the Oath of Judah were wrapped around Lin hand. He used the cross's weight to stabilize himself, but as soon as he stopped, more purple-black prisms slammed into him from all directions. He was like a ping-pong ball being struck repeatedly in this space, unable to even identify his direction or position.

Bam!

Four prisms fell, slamming him into the ground like a cage. Rising walls sealed him in a narrow box.

The sounds and images of the world were lost. Lin could only hear his own heartbeat and breathing. Beyond that, all his perceptions of the outside world vanished completely.

But there was one thing outside the box that he could control.

The Oath of Judah had an unknown connection to him; even out of his sight, he could sense its exact position. Golden light spears fell from the sky, shattering the cage surrounding him.

Through the broken gap, Lin heard the rapid, air-rending sound of an explosion. A sense of crisis spiked in his heart, and he leapt up without a second thought!

Rip—

Two white lines appeared at his previous position. The cage was sliced into tiny squares by those white ribbons. He stepped on a fired chain and sprinted toward the Herrscher of Void, who was manipulating the ribbons in the distance.

Thud, thud, thud!

Lin speed had reached its limit. Even if the Herrscher could teleport, her reaction time to open a portal might not be faster than Lin assault speed. Her imaginary barrier could also be neutralized with his suppression ability.

But the trickiest part was that the imaginary space was entirely under her control. In this space that belonged to no world, she was even harder to deal with than outside.

Dozens of imaginary spears shot at Lin from all sides. The iridescence in his eyes throbbed, and the golden spear in his hand emitted a brilliant radiance.

Click.

He heard the sound of a gun being cocked.

"————"

A blurred hallucination flashed by. Lin turned back, using his spears like swords. He performed a spinning slash, cutting all the imaginary spears apart!

Amidst the aftershocks of the explosions, a figure holding light flew toward the Herrscher of Void with lightning speed. The skin on his body and face split into bloody gashes, only to heal in a blink. Swinging the light spear, he struck down!

Snap—

The imaginary barrier was split in two, but this gave the Herrscher a moment to breathe. Her brow darkened. Instead of dodging, she slammed her palm into Lin chest!

Boom!

A massive amount of Honkai energy blasted into Lin body. His chest was pierced, and he was sent flying like a broken ragdoll, embedding himself into a purple-black platform.

The massive hole in his chest nearly blew him to pieces, with only some flesh connecting his upper and lower halves. He panted; within a few breaths, the lost flesh grew back, and he was whole again in the blink of an eye.

But even self-healing had its limits. In the battle with Yama, the Honkai energy in Lin body had been depleted until he could no longer heal his wounds.

Lin pulled on the chains of the Oath of Judah. He had to use the cross's ability to completely nullify all surrounding Honkai energy at a certain distance before his own Honkai energy ran out!

The Herrscher of Void gave him no time to rest. The light-wings on her back extended like blades in an instant, swinging toward Lin under her control. Everywhere they passed, the imaginary blocks were sliced apart.

Lin kicked off the imaginary block behind him, turning into an arrow shot from a bow. He spun his spear, clashing head-on with the light-wings!

Screech————

Even the sound of friction was swallowed by space as soon as it rang out. The Soulium spear in Lin hand and the light-wings shattered simultaneously. His pupils shrank to their limit as his mind's cognitive modules rapidly absorbed and processed all information.

Clatter.

The oversized cross flew from behind him as Lin pulled on it. The moment the spear in his hand shattered, three more spears ejected from the cross's structure!

The Herrscher of Void also manipulated space. The golden light in her eyes was even more intense than Lin. A portal emitting an aura of destruction stood before her, and countless void spears fell like rain!

Boom!

The core in Lin body roared. He threw one spear, then turned back to grab two glowing spears. The Oath of Judah instantly shrank and embedded itself into the back of his hand, and a large number of chains shot out from it as well!

Chains and void spears collided in space. Explosions as brilliant as fireworks echoed in this dead space!

Lin iridescent eyes moved and locked on constantly. The chains he fired became faster and faster, even piercing into the portals before the void spears could fire, weaving a brilliant web around him.

The Herrscher of Void gathered purple-black imaginary energy in her hands. As the Soulium spear flew toward her, she once again threw that terrifying imaginary lance. The spiral drill swallowed space; almost in an instant, Lin chains and Soulium spears were shattered!

Lin iridescent eyes lit up as if burning. He pulled his right fist back like a bowstring. All the Honkai energy in his body converged into his fist at that moment, and then it made contact with the imaginary lance that made him look like a tiny insect!

"————"

There was no sound, and no light.

Time and space were locked at this moment.

He could see that in the first half-second of the collision, his arm was ground to pieces by the imaginary energy, only to be restored the very next instant.

He could see everything before him becoming abstract under the influence of the bloated Honkai and imaginary energy, as if caught in a hurricane, spinning at the junction where the two collided.

The Herrscher of Void was behind the imaginary lance, in that unreachable distance. Her inhuman face was obscured by the splashing imaginary energy.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

Lin screamed. Blood sprayed from his shattered body, only to be instantly eroded by Honkai energy. His body and consciousness burned intensely, like a moth to a flame, welcoming the imaginary lance that crushed everything.

"——————"

In the next second of the stalemate, the imaginary lance was smashed by Lin Honkai energy until it dented inward. it stretched frantically like a thin film!

Lin left hand and both legs vanished into points of light. He bit down hard on the chains of the Oath of Judah, blood spraying. The golden cross deployed at that moment, and the imaginary lance was crushed by the authority that could suppress all energy!

BOOM——————————

Accompanied by light.

Accompanied by death.

The man, with only one hand left, charged from the heavens toward that arrogant deity!

The Herrscher of Void also condensed Honkai energy and threw an imaginary lance at Lin once more!

In his iridescent eyes, purple-black destruction approached, and the golden cross stood before him.

Crack!

The sacred cross was shattered into pieces.

But Lin gripped the final spear——————

The black-and-white world was illuminated by light—

"..."

Drip.

Drip.

Drip...

The little blood remaining in his body, along with his cooling temperature, fell at the Herrscher of Void's feet.

"..."

She clutched her neck, where a terrifying gash had been cut. The deity, who was not supposed to bleed, was now bleeding warm blood that flowed slowly through the gaps of her fingers.

Her gaze slowly moved from her wound to the man before her.

The man remained in his thrusting posture.

At the tip of the spear of judgment, divine blood was still dripping.

The fire burning intensely in his eyes was deeply imprinted into the Herrscher's vision.

Then, it dimmed until it was extinguished.

A slender arm that seemed to have no lethality passed through the man's body. From the tiny palm that burst out from his back, she held a brilliant golden gem, flickering like a heartbeat.

The Herrscher of Void let go of her neck; the wound had already healed. She maintained her heartless face, like an immovable god.

A purple portal flew in from behind, swallowing them both.

The last trace of light had vanished at some unknown point.

In the imaginary space, all was silent, as if it had never changed from the very beginning.
