Chapter 67 - Chapter 66: Opportunity!

Roar!!

As soon as Gyarados appeared, it let out a violent roar at Hypno, causing a brief change in its cunning gaze.

Intimidation Trait!

Gyarados looks like a dragon, its appearance seems to intimidate others and always appears to be in a state of anger, with three upward green horns on its head, its body covered in blue scales, and a large fin on its back.

Another dragon without the Dragon Attribute.

Gyarados, a Water Type and Flying Type Pokémon, this one from Lance is probably with Intimidation Trait, estimated to be at Senior Level.

Gyarados, although uncommon, tends to cause quite a stir whenever it appears, so many books categorize Gyarados in description.

Natsuhiko just glanced briefly, and through the gloss and thickness of the scales, the color of the dorsal fin and the length of the horns on its head, roughly estimated the condition of Lance's Gyarados.

Senior Level, plus Charizard on the other side, these should be Lance's two strongest Pokémon at the moment.

The Flying-type Elite title is well-deserved.

However, using two Senior Level Pokémon together with Dratini and Weedle of Excellence Level to handle a Reserve Elite Four, isn't it a bit dreamlike?

But the issue lies here.

Natsuhiko looked towards the Hypno next to Lotto.

Due to the task related to Drowzee, Natsuhiko has an in-depth understanding and study of this Pokémon and its evolutions.

This Hypno from Lotto is strong.

Undoubtedly strong.

Facing the menacing Gyarados and the unruly Charizard, it showed no sign of fear.

Yet after Natsuhiko carefully examined this Hypno, he reached a conclusion even he found hard to believe.

Elite Level!

Compared to Weedle, it's two large tiers higher, and apparently much stronger than the Yujira encountered before.

But this conclusion clearly doesn't match what he understands about Lotto's identity.

A Reserve Elite Four's Pokémon only at Elite Level?

Impossible, right?

Thinking so much, it actually happened within a few seconds, while Natsuhiko felt the increasing heat on his forehead, as if something was burning inside his head.

This is typical of overusing the brain.

But now clearly isn't the time to stop thinking. Seeing Natsuhiko and Lance trying to resist him, Lotto couldn't help but chuckle softly.

Then his eyes also gleamed with a blue halo, connecting with Hypno.

Hypno's Telepathy!

Having Psychic-type Pokémon, and the benefits of mastering Telepathy is that the Trainer commanding in battle only needs to think, passing the command accurately to the Pokémon for battle.

"Here it comes!" Natsuhiko whispered.

"Hmm!" Lance's expression was also very tense, facing the Reserve Elite Four, feeling more nervous than excited for challenging strength, "Delay, Mr. Azir is almost here!"

This isn't a battle, this is life and death struggle!

Clink clink.....

The item in Hypno's hand started to gently sway, with unseen lines radiating from the center of the item.

Hypnosis!

"Don't stare at what it holds!" Natsuhiko immediately warned, his face serious, while commanding Weedle, "Start running, don't stop unless I say so!"

If there's anything reassuring about Weedle, it's its endurance.

On the other side, Lance quickly commanded his three Pokémon to battle.

Commanding three Pokémon simultaneously not only tests their mutual momentum but also the Trainer's ability.

Generally, a single Trainer managing more than two Pokémon in battle is unadvised, as it often leads to inability to keep up with Pokémon and battle changes, missing opportunities.

Obviously, for Lance this isn't a big problem.

Dratini gathered fluffy Electromagnetic Waves on its head, Gyarados's large eyes opened wide like lanterns, locking onto Hypno, Glare!

Due to field constraints, Charizard couldn't fly, yet this didn't hinder its battle.

It strode directly at Hypno, and its claws were instantly cloaked in dense black mist, rushing towards Hypno with Ghost-type Shadow Claw, Lance evidently knew about Attribute Suppression.

However.

Hypno's Hypnosis wasn't solely targeting the Pokémon present.

Natsuhiko immediately felt his head turn heavy, his thinking ability sharply declined, and even with absolute confidence in his will, he couldn't withstand the suppression caused by Pokémon's power.

Decisive action!

Natsuhiko gritted his teeth, clenched his left fist fiercely striking the wound on his right arm.

The wound, originally wrapped by Weedle's silk as a bandage to stop blood flow, was instantly pierced with a heart-wrenching pain, jolting his consciousness.

Instantly his face turned pale, beads of sweat rolled down his forehead.

"Lance!" Enduring the pain, seeing the dispersing gaze of Lance beside him, Natsuhiko quickly punched his face.

Bam!!

"Stay aware!"

Lance was knocked to the ground by Natsuhiko, abruptly sobering up.

Fortunately, Hypnosis hadn't fully taken effect yet, otherwise it wouldn't be something solvable with a mere punch.

Meanwhile.

Pokémon confronted Lotto's Hypno head-on.

Charizard led the charge, waving Shadow Claws approaching Hypno, forcefully tearing through Hypno's Psychic barrier, reaching Hypno.

Yet just as Charizard was about to hit Hypno, its body paused.

Thick Psychic energy enveloped it, alongside Hypno accelerating the item in its hand, it was thrown onto the ground, shattering tiles around.

Hypno raised its hand, stopping the waves from Dratini.

Dispersing into the air.

Gyarados's Glare was directly ignored by Hypno, Defense Power reduced?

As long as it's not hit, it's simply not an issue.

Then Hypno threw out a special ray at the grounded Charizard, temporarily restricting the Shadow Claw technique.

But while focusing on Lance's Pokémon trio, the unnoticeably small and maneuverable Weedle quietly appeared beside Hypno, opened its mouth sharply tearing a section of Psychic protection away, a Poison Needle aimed at a subtle angle shot towards Hypno.

"Suli!"

Hypno was shocked, not expecting the small Weedle could breach its Psychic shield.

Fortunately, it reacted promptly, stopping the Poison Needle within a centimeter from its leg.

Seeing the attack fail, Weedle didn't linger, quickly leaving Hypno's sight utilizing its escape ability trait, avoiding the incoming attack.

Both sides only briefly interacted, probing each other's depths.

From the situation, Natsuhiko and Lance were entirely at a disadvantage.

Yet both unexplainably felt strange.

Lance, with a purpling bruise from Natsuhiko's punch on his left cheek, looked at Natsuhiko, curious.

Reserve Elite Four.

This weak?

Or are his Pokémon dealing with something else?

Preparing to summon Zapdos?

It's not impossible!

If so, undoubtedly, now is Natsuhiko and Lance's chance!
