Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: Actually, I'm a Cheater Too

Uehara Naraku is actually a time-traveler.

Similarly, he's also a cheater with a system.

In the future Ninja World, there were so many ninjas who loved to cheat, many of whom got banned, but having one more or one less like him made a big difference to the Ninja World.

A month ago, he was still called Uehara, just an ordinary person.

While out walking, Uehara met a quirky bookseller and chatted a bit. Uehara felt a kindred spirit with the seller.

They both loved the same subculture, and could connect over any topic.

Before leaving, Uehara felt a bit embarrassed, so he randomly bought a book from the seller's small bookstand.

The ancients once said, within books there are beauties like jade, within books there are houses of gold, within books there are thousands of bushels of grain. Reading more never hurts, right?

The ancients were honest and didn't lie.

Sometimes, books come with systems.

The seller was indeed peculiar, though he just had a bookstand, he priced books by their covers and sold one to Uehara!

Wasn't he clearly scamming him for money?

Turns out, he not only got scammed for money, but also got himself in trouble.

After Uehara got home, the moment he opened the book, he was bound by a system called [Every Otaku in the World Will Achieve Their Wishes], also known as the Otaku Wishing System.

This system seemed rather crude and shoddy, not only lacking artificial intelligence, but also rigidly issuing tasks.

Once the system started, it analyzed Uehara's preferences with big data and then sent him to the Ninja World, transforming him into Uehara Naraku.

Uehara Naraku's background is indeed quite unusual.

His father was a founding member of the Akatsuki, but after having a child with his mother, he went off to follow Yahiko and was never heard from again.

It's tough for a widowed mother and her child to survive in a war-torn place like The Hidden Rain Village, so Uehara Naraku was taught to refine Chakra by his mother from a young age, becoming a wandering ninja, only to later be killed by someone from the Hidden Rock.

Uehara became Uehara Naraku.

His main mission: Fulfill the bookseller's wish and become the biggest BOSS in the Ninja World, progress 0%.

What a straightforward and crude system!

But why can't it fulfill his own wish to be an ordinary person instead of others' wishes?

Isn't the system afraid that one day someone might want to become a crow and change their species, and it will fulfill that wish too?

Of course, in addition to becoming the biggest BOSS in the Ninja World, the system also sporadically issues random side quests, with varying difficulty.

Strictly speaking, these quests are more like the wishes of some otaku enthusiasts.

Because they are weird and varied.

After all, no matter how dim-witted the system is, it probably won't issue obviously contradictory tasks simultaneously, right?

For instance, there's a side quest to darken Uzumaki Naruto; another to keep Uzumaki Naruto forever warm; and yet another to have Uzumaki Naruto get together with Sasuke...

What kind of nonsense is this!

According to Uehara Naraku's judgment, these task issuers are very bizarre, and the rewards they offer differ.

For example, the current side quest rewards primarily come from League of Legends. Sometimes they offer heroic skills, sometimes heroes as summoned beasts, and sometimes even money.

This money is not the currency of the Ninja World but real gold coins, which can be used to buy all sorts of strange equipment.

Uehara Naraku opened his own panel. Since this was the first exhibition, it would likely take a long time before he opened the attribute panel again.

For Uehara Naraku, the only consolation is that his current skills are quite good and not some lonely skills of rushing in headlong.

Apart from Aerial Dance, which he obtained when he first practiced Chakra control for water-walking and tree-climbing, the rest were gained from combat missions.

As for Tear of the Goddess, he acquired some money through side quests, and bought it from the system's occasionally popping-up store. He knows how important Chakra is in the Ninja World; this item can save lives there...

The system had previously given him two side quests, one to create an organization, and another to join one.

If he were twenty-two years old, he would undoubtedly choose to actively create an organization, but this year he is only... only twelve!

With his recent acting skills, taking over another's nest should be no problem, right?

The identity of this body is just too convenient; if not used well, wouldn't it be too wasteful?

As to who will become the true mastermind of the Akatsuki and the biggest BOSS in the Ninja World, Nagato, Uchiha Obito, Uchiha Madara, Black Zetsu, everyone can compete fairly!

Such a fun nesting doll game, why not participate?

Uehara Naraku is not picky.

His goal is simply to be the last nesting doll, enough to surpass Otsutsuki Kaguya, thus completing his main mission.

The current Akatsuki is still a bit downtrodden, equivalent to a half-baked troupe.

The later Akatsuki band had only half its members, with the organization's secret base located in a canyon by a river, and members were still busy with their respective tasks.

Some stayed behind at the base.

Two big spenders within the Akatsuki, one is Orochimaru, who likes human experiments; the other is Sasori of the Red Sand, who enjoys human art.

"Is there a new member?"

Orochimaru licked the corner of his mouth at the sight of Uehara Naraku behind Pain and Konan: "Or is he prepared as experimental material for me?"

"..."

Pain shook his head, speaking calmly: "He will be the new intern in the organization, Uehara Naraku."

"Nice to meet you."

Uehara Naraku wore a sunny smile, but in the gloomy cave, his youthful energy seemed out of place with the environment.

"Hmph!"

The others just snorted coldly at him, not paying him any mind.

Uehara Naraku's smile immediately dropped.

A bunch of bastards...

It's rare for him to smile so cheerfully!

Is his carefully practiced smile only to cope with the likes of Might Guy and Rock Lee?

Konan patted the boy's head, leaned down, and whispered in his ear: "Uehara, can you find a place to train on your own?"

"Oh, oh, of course!"

Uehara Naraku took a half step back and nodded.

The iris flower gently swayed on the woman's head as Konan gracefully entered the depths of the cave, where even with the lack of light, a colossal figure could be vaguely seen.

Appearance, incredibly ugly.

Power, tremendously strong.

The ten-tailed's shell, the Gedo Statue, was hidden here, with Akatsuki members evidently still unaware of what this big guy could do...

"Yah-hahaha, so you're also an intern of the organization!"

While Uehara was in a daze, a hilarious voice rang out.

A hand patted Uehara's left shoulder. When Uehara Naraku turned around, he saw nothing.

Then, he felt a pat on the right shoulder, obviously that person had moved to the right, employing an old but boring prank.

If this person is also an Akatsuki intern, he must be Uchiha Obito, Uehara Naraku's future colleague, and competitor for the role of mastermind!

Uehara Naraku frowned, clapped his hands together forcefully, and instantly activated his skill: "Lighting Release: Heavenly Thunder Prison Jutsu!"
