Allison's POV
I ran so fast, making sure to pass through the bushes near the market to the other side. I finally saw the main road and sighed in relief.
"Finally," I whispered, closing my eyes.
Just as I was about to take another step, a sharp pain hit my neck, right where the mark is.
"Ahhh!" I grabbed my neck and hissed. It felt like something was pulling me back, like I should return to where I came from. But no! I won't go back!
Just as I tried to move again, the pain doubled. "Ahhhhh!" I screamed as everything went blurry… then darkness.
…..
"Shhhh, don't wake her up."
I heard a whisper. My brows furrowed as I groaned, slowly opening my eyes. Wait… I'm on a bed? Why am I in bed?
I quickly sat up and looked around. Two maids bowed immediately. My eyes widened in disbelief, I didn't even need to guess whose room this was. This is Ethan's bedroom!
How come I'm here?
