Chapter 155 - Chapter 154: The Secret of the Eleventh Primarch

Chapter 154: The Secret of the Eleventh Primarch

The instrument panel's mechanical arm slowly extended, like a predator's tentacle, its sharp tip glinting with an eerie light. The arms reached for the xenos' body, covered in wriggling creatures. A worm was firmly clamped and pulled out from deep within its embedded flesh.

"SCREECH!"

The xenos let out a heart-wrenching shriek, his voice hoarse and piercing, filled with despair and indescribable pain.

The worm thrashed wildly in the mechanical arm's claw, green bodily fluids splattering everywhere, leaving a foul-smelling trail on the ground. If one looked closely, tiny tentacles could still be seen trembling in the exposed wound.

"What is one thousand minus seven?" Francis's voice was cold, and a hint of fanaticism even flashed in his eyes.

"SCREECH SCREECH !" The xenos twisted his body frantically, howling in pain.

Seeing this, Magnus swallowed. He had rarely witnessed such a deranged interrogation. Half of the worms on the xenos' body had already been plucked off by the mechanical arm.

Just as the cultivation dish on the instrument was complete, a Soul Drinker moved to push it away.

"Wait a moment, leave a few worms and change the instrument."

Hearing Francis's voice, the Soul Drinker scurried over. Although he was still a rookie, he had learned many of the Primarch's quirks from the veterans, so he specifically picked out a few of the plumpest-looking worms and brought them over.

"This is?" Magnus showed a puzzled expression.

"Are you hungry? I'll make you some noodles." Francis looked at Magnus very kindly.

Seeing this, Magnus's back chilled, and he said with a trembling voice, "Uh... I'm fine, not very hungry..."

Francis picked up the jar containing the worms and examined it. "Hmm... These little things are indeed quite plump." He pinched a still slightly wriggling worm with his fingers, as if picking up a fresh ingredient.

"Today, I'll make you a dish of pan-fried worms braised in red wine!"

Magnus stared in disbelief.

Then Francis pulled out a small frying pan from somewhere and heated it with a melta gun. Then he casually placed the worms in the pan and used a fork to hold them down, preventing them from jumping out as they struggled.

"First, we start frying them. Because they are naturally rich in fat, we will dry-fry them."

"The fat within them slowly seeps out with the high temperature, and then we use their own rendered fat to fry themselves. This makes the outer shell crispy. This is the foundation of this dish's deliciousness!"

Magnus, standing by, watched this scene with a shocked expression, his mind screaming, "Is the focus really on how to cook it? The actual body is still sitting there!"

Just as he thought, the xenos leader also felt a chill down his spine. At that moment, the mechanical arm of the instrument returned and delved into the xenos' body once again.

"Screech screech screech!" One by one, worms hidden deep within muscles and organs were pulled out, each time accompanied by tearing sounds and the xenos' mournful wails. His tentacles thrashed wildly.

Francis, however, completely ignored this and continued to focus on flipping the worms in the pan.

"This is about done! Golden brown on the surface, and if you press it with your finger, you can hear a crisp crunch. That's it."

"Then we pour them out. Don't wash the pan. Using the oil that seeped out, we add spices to bring out their original flavor!"

"Then add Ahriman's own brewed red wine, add vegetables like cabbage, and finally put the fried worms in. Simmer on low heat for three Terra minutes!"

Watching Francis's incredibly serious demeanor, Magnus even forgot to complain about why he had gotten the wine from his son. And the xenos leader's mind was already at the brink of collapse.

After an incredibly agonizing three Terra minutes, a delicious dish of pan-fried worms braised in red wine was ready.

Magnus stared at it in silence. He was filled with doubt. This dish actually looked quite appetizing to him. He must be insane!

"Ah! I almost forgot! Paired with a dipping sauce made from worm pulp, it will be a different flavor!"

Saying this, Francis pulled out another worm, then twisted it with both hands. The worm let out a painful shriek. Gray-green fluid seeped from the worm, dripping into a small box, which was then placed beside the delicacy.

"Want to try?"

Magnus was still lost in thought when Francis suddenly came before him, holding the plate.

Magnus's hair stood on end instantly, and he quickly waved his hands. "NO! No! I'm on a diet recently."

"Ah, that's a shame! I cooked this myself." Francis shook his head, then carried the plate to the xenos leader, skewered a piece of worm, and placed it before him.

"What is seven hundred seventeen minus seven?"

The xenos leader instantly broke down, screaming even more frantically. "Screech screech screech!"

Plop!

Francis didn't care and directly thrust the worm into a crevice in his face. The xenos immediately fainted.

The xenos in the corner had long since lost control of their bladders from watching.

Seeing this, Francis shook his head helplessly and lamented. "As expected of a xenos, even like this, their mouths are still so tight."

"It seems I need to get serious."

Saying this, he took out another fork, dipped another piece of worm in the sauce, and put it in his mouth. With one bite, the skin was crispy, and the inside was juicy and savory.

Very good!

Then a series of information came from the fluid.

"Species designation unknown."

"Likes to eat humans, preferably those who have been dead for three days."

"Born in the Halo Stars outside the Imperial border."

"Metamorphosis, necrotic fluid, regeneration"

The next second, his body underwent an abnormal change. His skin quickly became moist, taking on an unhealthy sheen, then cracked. Wisps of green mist and tiny tentacle-like worms emerged from the cracks. His limbs elongated, his bones making crisp, cracking sounds, and his entire body twisted at an uncomfortable angle.

He became one of them. Magnus stared in shock.

And that wasn't all. Francis could now understand what the distant xenos were saying.

"Ah ah ah! Humans are so terrifying!"

"I want to go home! My mother just sent me out to get some experience!"

"He ate the boss, he won't eat us, will he!"

"I'm still a child, just out for an internship! Wuwuwu..."

Francis's eyes widened. The xenos even used child labor; they were simply a black-hearted race, too much! They had found a way to die.

Seeing that the xenos leader was still unconscious, Francis adjusted the instrument. Instantly, eight mechanical arms extended, accelerating the removal of worms from his body. The intense pain instantly woke the xenos leader. Then he heard the xenos' heart-wrenching screams.

"I'll tell you! I'll tell you everything!"

"Please don't torture me anymore! I surrender!"

"I really surrender! Wuwuwu..."

"Kill me! Ah ah ah ah!"

His body had already half-disappeared from the torture, and one could even see a red worm inside him, which seemed to be their true form.

Francis leaned closer. "Uh, go ahead and speak!"

The xenos could actually understand him, and he was instantly stunned.

"Wuwuwu... You can finally understand me!"

"Wuwuwu... Actually, I saw you in the Rak'Gol star system. Rak'Gol entrusted their last hope to you."

"Have you forgotten?"

Hearing this, Francis's head hurt even more. What was this about the last hope? Entrusted what to me! When I woke up, I was butt naked! There's no way to hide anything there!

"The last hope? What last hope! Tell me!" Francis operated the instrument, plucking worms from the xenos' body even more frequently, and the xenos' body twitched more violently.

"Stop pulling! Stop pulling! Ah!"

"Ah ah ah! I don't know either! If I knew, why would I be looking for you!"

"Don't you advocate for equality among all races?"

"Ah ah ah ah!"

"They said you want to promote harmonious development among all races?"

"I also believe in you! Please don't pull them out, I can't take it anymore!"

"They are in the gap between reality and the spiritual world. They transcend time and space, believe me!"

Hearing this, Francis was so scared that he reverted to his original form. These words shouldn't be said! Every single one of them was a capital crime!

Francis's brain worked furiously. What kind of super cosmic great saint was this? Simply despicable!

Francis quickly returned to the interrogation table, his heart still unable to calm down. Were the people the xenos spoke of really him? Could it be some underhanded trick?

Magnus, standing nearby, only saw the two of them constantly chattering, completely unaware of what they were saying.

So he asked, "How was it? What did he say?"

"What happened to Rak'Gol? I heard the fighting was fierce back then."

Magnus looked at Francis seriously. Francis was silent for a moment, then said, "They said they saw me in Rak'Gol and were captivated by my heroic appearance."

"Now they've come to ask me to inherit their throne."

Magnus's jaw dropped. His heart was in turmoil. He hadn't expected his brother to be so popular. Truly worthy of being Francis!

Seeing Magnus's surprised look, Francis quickly explained. "Don't worry, I won't go. I have no interest in power. I have never lusted for power."

Seeing this, Magnus's eyes lit up even more, and Francis's image in his heart grew much taller.

Afterward, Francis gave some instructions to the Soul Drinker warrior, then took Magnus and continued toward the Blackstone Fortress.

Just as they thought they were free, they saw more Soul Drinkers pushing instruments in.

"Don't be nervous, everyone, we will try our best to make your death less painful."

The xenos "..."

"Screech screech"

"Screech Screech Screech"

"SREECCHHH!!"

....

Deep within Terra, in a hidden underground chamber, dim light illuminated ancient stone walls, and the air was filled with the smell of decay and machine oil.

The entire room was sealed in layers, isolating it from all external prying eyes. Runes and barriers around it slowly operated, ensuring that no psychic or technological force could penetrate.

The long table was filled with Navigator nobles in elaborate robes, their faces grim, their eyes revealing unease and madness.

Beside them, representatives of the Adeptus Mechanicus, clad in red robes, most of their bodies replaced by machinery, emitted a low hum.
