"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
Grace's voice cut through the air like a knife, her eyes as wide as they had been when I first told her about Liam possibly having Abby institutionalized.
I remained frozen in the hospital bed, completely shocked by his parting words before he walked out. My gaze drifted toward the door, half expecting him to return and tell me it was all some twisted joke. That he hadn't really arranged for my sister to be locked away in some psychiatric facility.
I couldn't decide how that made me feel.
"He arranged for her to be evaluated?" Grace snorted, crossing her arms with narrowed eyes that looked ready to incinerate the entire hospital. "Rigged the assessment so she'd fail? That's..." her words faded, and surprisingly, she let out a brief chuckle. "That is absolutely genius."
I stared at her. "What?"
