"Man Man. You are right. Ciao Ciao should truly give some tips for Jingyan's father's treatment" Xiaotong said making everyone looked at her
"Mei Xiaotong?" Cheng Ciao asked
"What is the problem? You didn't see me here?" Xiaotong asked as she pout
"Xiaotong, hi" Li Man said and Xiaotong rolled her eyes.
"Lu Jingyan. I will pay for both Cheng Ciao and Li Man's coffee. How much is it?" Xiaotong asked
"100 Yuan" Jingyan said
"Alright. I will pay once am done" Mei Xiaotong said.
"Mei Xiaotong. What are you implying? Are you saying that Cheng Ciao doesn't have the money to pay for her coffee?" Li Man asked
"No. Why would I implying that? When it is the truth" Xiaotong said
"Xiaotong. Thanks for the coffee. But I don't need it anymore" Cheng Ciao said and leave the coffee shop.
Jingyan looked at her friend and she smiled
"Always speak up for yourself" Mei Xiaotong said
"Alright mama, I heard you" Jingyan said smiling
"Don't worry baby. I will always stand up for you if anyone want to bully you" Mei Xiaotong said and Jingyan smiled
"Alright. Mama" Jingyan said as they both laughed.
It was already late at night when Lu Jingyan finished her shifts when she was going to the hospital to see her father. They didn't have a roof above their heads both her and her brother. They just live with their father at the hospital and tried to make a living from their. All the money she earned it was used to pay her father's bill and some to eat. She looked at the hamburger in her hand as she marched towards the hospital.
Lu Jingyan saw her shoe laces untied as she bent to tie them again and she heard a groan. She looked towards the way the sound was coming from and she decided to go check it up when the groan persist. Curiosity and concern pulled her toward the sound—and there, slumped against a dimly lit alley wall, was a man who looked to be in his mid-twenties. Blood seeped through the side of his shirt, staining the fabric dark. His hair, tousled and damp with sweat, clung to his forehead. He had sharp features—a strong jaw, high cheekbones, and lips pressed into a tight line as he fought the pain. One hand clutched his side, while the other braced weakly against the wall. Despite the wound, there was something defiant in his eyes—like a man too proud to ask for help, even when on the edge of collapse.
"Mr" Lu Jingyan rushed towards him and he looked at her and he saw a beauty he would say he has never seen in his life
She has soft, delicate features that give away her youth—wide, curious eyes that seem to take in the world with wonder. Her skin is smooth and unmarked by worry, with a natural glow that doesn't need makeup. Her lips often part in surprise or quiet questions, and she smiles easily, sometimes even when she shouldn't. She moves lightly, sometimes clumsily, like someone not yet used to the weight of adult life. Her voice is gentle, occasionally uncertain, but always sincere. There's a warmth to her presence—honest, trusting, and untouched by harshness—making it easy to see both her innocence and how easily it could be broken.
"Are you okay?" She asked as he groan instead of talking.
"Let me help you to the hospital. Let me look for a help" she said and wanted to leave but he held her hand and she looked at him
"Don't" he said
