Briss remained in her original position, seemingly one with the darkness, the Bat Cloak completely obscuring her outline.
Seeing the two come out, she wanted to return the flower pot to Su Ming.
"Poison Ivy actually cooperated like this?"
"In fact, she didn't cooperate at all; it's just that her techniques are useless against me." Su Ming did not take the flower pot, indicating for Briss to hold it first: "The Sea Queen's amphibious breathing ability is neither divine power nor an external thing; it's an inherent trait of her bloodline. I need Scarecrow's Fear Venom to induce her fear of water, making her psychologically incapable of approaching the sea."
When it comes to inducing fear, Briss is an expert, but she only employs bat-related fear tactics, while Scarecrow's Fear Venom has a much broader scope.
Most of the time, Scarecrow likes to use smoke-like toxins to spread fear, because it covers a larger area and affects more people. In rare cases, especially when dealing with enemies who have willpower checks, he uses concentrated venom to inject into the human body, coupled with psychological guidance and suggestion, it can almost make the injected person fear anything.
Scarecrow leads others into confronting their deepest fears, causing them to fall into madness or stupor. For example, Briss was once injected with venom, seeing an illusion during the bat-filled sky where her parents were killed in front of her, leaving her deeply traumatized.
Now Su Ming has to first go to the black market to purchase Fear Venom, and also prepare special needles that can penetrate the Sea Queen's skin.
However, with Batwoman tagging along, some violence might be required.
...........
Morning on Paradise Island.
Paradise Island always seems the same, with clear mountains and waters, pleasant climate, and everywhere covered with flowers and plants; amidst beautiful white marble houses, without high-rise buildings and neon lights, seemingly like a Peach Blossom Spring.
Clear rivers cascade down from mountaintops, tall waterfalls form a rainbow; the island's inhabitants are all smiling, enjoying their lives.
Even if the Amazons ruled the world, Paradise Island remains their reservation, without massive construction and excessive population; only council members' families and royal bloodlines may reside on Paradise Island, others live in external societies.
No choices, the Amazons now face population explosion problems. Perhaps during wartimes, the Amazon casualty rate was high, but after hundreds of years of peace, with their long lifespans, naturally more descendants follow.
But all these don't concern De'an.
As the Prince of the Amazons, his family naturally has palaces and castles, although Amazonians admire frugality and martial prowess and look down on men, a Prince is still a Prince, especially as the Son of God, completely different.
Even though enjoyment here doesn't compare to the outside world, seeing others wearing beast hides and burlap, while he possesses a set of divine artifacts, he remains quite satisfied.
No need for the best, just better than others will do.
It's not that he hasn't ventured out into the outside world, but several times he caused huge trouble, at least seen as signs of a foolish ruler by the Amazon Council.
For example, he turned city sports stadiums into colosseums, secretly capturing civilians to watch them slaughtered by mythical creatures; or quietly destroyed all cars in a city, making citizens ride horses to work; and also incited the sea race into cities for slaughter, then appeared as a hero to eliminate the sea race, a script outrageously melodramatic.
Unfortunately, he seemed to lack some brains, causing various things, mostly discovered by the council and reported to the Queen.
Things needing concealment would still be concealed, for it concerns the Amazon's image, the council naturally finds excuses to fool ordinary people regarding the Prince.
Various media and news agencies unleashed full force, constructing him as a positive figure, a hero with the world in mind, with various "experts" and scholars supporting him, creating such a stance that it doesn't matter if you ordinary folks believe or not, we believe wholeheartedly.
But merely deceiving people isn't enough; he remains grounded by the Queen on Paradise Island, forbidden to leave, making him behave until the storm passes.
He's not in a hurry, since he can fly, it's just a thought to leave, only lacking entertaining new ideas recently, so he decided to take a thoughtful period.
He's currently in the Royal Palace garden, merrily tending to flowers and plants, having dismissed all the guards, for all of them together aren't his match, whether they're there or not makes no difference.
The Queen's restrictive measure is merely for appearances, to placate the council.
The Royal Palace garden is vast, even containing some small mythical creatures, such as white deer with starlight on antlers, winged rabbits, and more.
He plucked a small flower, placed it below his nose for a sniff, revealing a smile he thinks sweet. Then, he tucked the small flower next to his temple, looking at his reflection in the garden pool, constantly doing alluring movements, admiring himself.
"Ah... I am indeed the most beautiful man in the world." He stretched out his large-knuckled fingers to caress his face, with not a single beard on his chin, divine power keeps him youthfully forever, looking perpetually seventeen or eighteen.
After gazing for a while, he reached out to touch his reflection in the water, placing wet fingers into his mouth, licking with his wide tongue, speaking to the reflection: "Even you are so beautiful, all because I am simply so beautiful, hehe."
"Ugh..."
However, just as he was lost in self-admiration, murmuring, he heard someone behind him inappropriately making dry retching noises.
What nerve!
Who dares to mock the Prince of the Amazons?! The most handsome man in the world?! Do they really think the swords of the Amazons are dull?
He turned his head frostily, and before him appeared a strangely dressed person.
The figure was indistinguishable as male or female, but wore noble hunting attire from centuries past, with a comical mask atop it that featured two round lenses resembling the eyes of an owl.
"Who are you?! How dare you trespass on Paradise Island?!" He instantly drew his Fire God Sword along with the Shield behind him. Amazon Warriors were never without their weapons, always ready for a glorious battle.
"Hoo... hoo... ugh..."
The intruder did not answer, but let out a strange call as if imitating some animal, then immediately began dry heaving.
De'an's face turned from green to red, then from red to black. He screamed and swung his sword.
This madman must be jealous of his beauty, deliberately engaging in such bizarre antics. He planned to kill the freak and make jerky to feed to dogs.
Although the strange person kept gagging, when attacked, they immediately flicked a dagger out from their sleeve and deflected the Fire God Sword.
This stunned De'an.
The Fire God Sword, forged by the Fire God, was a Divine Artifact. How could it be stopped by an insignificant dagger? Not to mention he was a Demigod, and his strength was unparalleled.
But the opponent seemed to have some special Force Dissipation technique. When his sword swung down, the dagger did not block but redirected the force, causing his sword to slash into the garden ground instead.
In that instant, the Lasso of Truth on his belt vanished.
Indeed, vanished. It was hanging there properly, with no visible action from the enemy, yet it abruptly disappeared.
"Where's my Treasure? Damn little witch! Return it to me!" He swung his sword again, and the owl-dressed person agilely rolled away to dodge.
"Disgusting, Barry hurry up, I'm really going to vomit!" The strange person whispered disdainfully.
A voice came from somewhere unseen behind the Hero: "Sorry, I just threw up at the seaside, you know I'm a bit sensitive."
The intruder spoke unknowingly to someone, but De'an was a Warrior. He sensed trouble, and indeed the next moment, lightning surrounded him, and he found himself tightly bound by his own Lasso of Truth.
The other end of the Lasso was held by the person wearing the odd hood,
"Hmph! So it's a man! So presumptuous, how dare someone like you covet Divine Artifacts?" De'an snorted coldly and began to pull the Lasso forcefully. But the Lasso of Truth was the official weakness against Wonder Woman herself in DC Comics, and even a Hero from the Dark Multiverse could not resist.
Once ensnared by the Lasso of Truth, he would become frail and powerless.
Immediately in the next second.
"Clack."
Two crisp sounds echoed, and he noticed his Divine Power Arm Guard inexplicably fell off.
Replaced by a pair of bronze bracelets engraved with Medusa's visage, a sinister dark magic flowed from Medusa's eyes, spreading over him like sewage.
The Divine Power within his body faded away as if an Illusion, leaving him weaker than even an Ordinary person. His previous strength advantage disappeared, and under the opposing force's powerful pull, he was yanked off balance and thrown to the ground.
"Mission accomplished, let's retreat."
Su Ming released the Lasso and issued the command, first knocking De'an unconscious, then picking up the Sword and Shield, and using the dagger to slash De'an's arm.
Blood flowed, and with his finger dipped in blood, he drew the head of an owl on the garden's Pillar, alongside a Balance Scale, boldly writing:
"Owl Court will rule the world."
"All paths shall ultimately lead to Darkness! All shall return to Barbatos."
Soon after, a Red Light flashed, and all three vanished from the scene.
