Chapter 101 - Chapter 75: Making Things Up

Su Ming didn't like the Lasso of Truth, it didn't fit his combat style. He wasn't Wonder Woman, able to stand and stalemate an opponent on the battlefield. Though he had self-healing abilities, he was still lacking compared to a demigod.

If an enemy attacked during a stalemate, should he dodge or not?

His strength was much greater than ordinary people, but it couldn't compare to Wonder Woman's. In his hands, the Lasso of Truth could at most restrain someone of the Sea King's caliber, and not for long.

The most critical thing was, he preferred to kill, to directly eliminate enemies with knives and guns. Such a tool for capturing hostages, he temporarily lent it to Barry.

For Barry, who neither killed nor tortured enemies well, this tool was very useful. After arriving in the Main World, they would have to face the Dark Knight Order, so any enhancement in their strength would be good.

The only thing Su Ming planned to keep was the Fire God's Sword. It was forged from Divine Gold, and though it wasn't related to this major event, Divine Gold was still pretty good stuff, and combined with the perfect craftsmanship of the Fire God, this weapon suited him well.

As the name suggests, Divine Gold was metal used by Earth Gods, its full name being Divine Metal. Many of the Old Gods used it to craft their weapons and armor.

In the comics, the gods said this sword was indestructible and held the power to kill gods, one of the most formidable weapons on Earth.

Though Divine Gold was fine, it wasn't the hardest thing in this universe. Promethium was harder, and weapons made from it could clash head-on with the Fire God Sword. Weapons made from N Metal could easily penetrate armor made of Divine Metal, not to mention the X Metal that created the DC Universe, on a completely different level.

Other Multiverse-level big shots also had their special metals, all of which were more powerful than Divine Gold.

These metals aren't sourced from radioactive isotopes, but are from alien lands or the Multiverse, and the Old Gods' usage of them so far still falls far short.

However, the Fire God Sword, at least, carried the title of a Divine Artifact. If the enemy had no metal to rival it, it would greatly enhance Su Ming's attack power. Besides, he had never used a Divine Artifact before, so he might as well try it.

Looking at the two people unconscious on the ground, he leaned silently against the wall of the shanty, waiting.

...........

"Mm... where is this... ah!"

Sure enough, the Hero woke up first. He dramatically rubbed his eyes, stretched lazily, and suddenly realized he was down to just his underwear, letting out a scream and covering his chest with both hands.

Then, he saw Su Ming leaning by the door. He recalled it was this person, dressed like an Owl, who defeated him using witchcraft tools.

Lowering his head, he saw the Medusa Bracelets on his arms still emitting a faint black light, rendering him with the strength of an ordinary person. Despite this, he wasn't willing to give up; he was a well-trained warrior, after all.

He rolled forward and immediately launched an attack on Su Ming, but Su Ming didn't even bother to dodge, letting him punch his chest.

Nothing happened to Su Ming. Though he appeared to be dressed in aristocratic apparel, crucially, under the coat and cloak, he wore his own uniform.

What would an ordinary person feel punching Promethium armor?

"Ah!"

He jumped back a step, rubbing his wrist constantly; he felt pain for the first time.

In the past, when he was equipped with Divine Power and full gear, he was always the one inflicting pain on others. Now, with the pain falling upon him, the excruciating feeling brought tears to his eyes.

Su Ming shook his head; he had to resolve this quickly, or he might indeed feel disgusted. Raising a hand, he grabbed De'an by the neck, lifting him just slightly, causing his feet to leave the ground.

He merely needed to clench his fist, and the Hero would surely die.

But he hadn't gone through so much effort just to kill them. With a fling of his arm, De'an, whose face turned cyan and purple, was thrown out, landing on the Sea Queen, rousing her from unconsciousness as well.

"Keke... behave, or I'll make you suffer more," Su Ming intentionally imitated Sharp Claw's voice, though not well, but his adversaries wouldn't know that.

"Who the heck are you, such audacity!" The Sea Queen stood up supporting herself against the wall, feeling unprecedented weakness as the mysterious bracelets drained almost all her strength.

"Sea Queen, Hero, keke... since we've brought you here, haven't you guessed our intentions?"

Consciously leading them into wild imagination, while the plan wasn't meticulously airtight and hard to bluff through by his speech alone, he aimed for them to indulge in severe overthinking as much as possible.

Upon hearing Su Ming, the two instinctively distanced themselves, growing alert. Su Ming stood at the doorway, while the two took up separate corners of the room.

Observing their reactions, Su Ming sighed internally; Diana of the Main World was at least somewhat cerebral; why was the counterpart from this world so clueless?

"We've already sent professional stand-ins to replace your roles in Amazon and Atlantis; soon, the new 'you' will issue orders for both sides to go to full-scale war. This world shall be destroyed by us."

Feigning seriousness in speech, Su Ming was aware that Paradise Island and the Undersea people's goal was ruling the world instead of Earth's destruction; simply put, they only saw the benefits and not willing to bear the possible war aftermath. By throwing out worldly destruction, Su Ming manipulated their reasoning towards his desired direction.

De'an, clutching his chest, shrank into a corner, frightened upon hearing Su Ming but quickly recalling something, finding his confidence once more.

"Dream on! My mother and the Amazon Council are on Paradise Island. Even if you impersonate me issuing orders, they won't be recognized," he replied, shaking off his fear.

Su Ming's Owl head turned toward him, and who knew what expression lay under those round glasses, but he gave off an eerie voice.

"Killing the Queen resolves all, doesn't it? Nobody will question the inheritor's 'you,' right? Once our agent becomes the King of the Amazon, the Queen's death can serve as an excuse for full-scale war with Atlantis, kukuku!"

De'an's eyes widened, horror displaying on his pallid face, realizing the ensuing scenario.

The Amazonians have no intention of going to full-scale war with the Atlanteans. Their current strategy is to confine them to the ocean, fully aware of the repercussions. If they could fight, they'd have done it centuries ago and wouldn't have waited till now, resulting in a cold war-like situation between land and sea.

"And you!" Su Ming's head turned to the other corner, towards the Sea Queen. She tried to maintain composure, yet her eyes darted as if searching for a potential weapon in the room: "Don't think only you command the fish; there are agents among the Atlanteans, already prepared to replace you. The Sea God's Trident bequeaths kingship. You're set to witness war breakout, followed by Amazonians annihilating all aquatic lives."

The Sea Queen trembled with shock, and as the stranger confidently spoke, it seemed he knew where the Sea God's Trident was hidden, which spelled trouble...

"Why are you doing this? It benefits no one!" De'an replied, huddled in his corner in grievance, wiping tears with his fingers.

Su Ming had been waiting for this question; he immediately let out an eerie laugh similar to an owl screeching in the night: "Because our master adores broken worlds, the Dark God. When enough die in this world, he shall descend!"
