Su Ming glanced at him. He didn't want to meddle in those matters of the Magic Realm; if Zha Kang wants to seek benefits, let him. Anyway, he wouldn't dare joke about the survival of Earth.
"Stop pretending to be a dead dog. I made sure that my slash was precise, only cutting 0.5 centimeters deep under the skin. I've given you what you want. If you can't provide what I want, Barry will immediately erase the array."
Zha Kang sighed, looking rather helpless: "Alright, Doomsday might be difficult for you guys to deal with, but just like Superman, he has no magic resistance, and his brain doesn't work as well as Superman's. But why don't you go after Kryptonite?"
"Not Doomsday, but the Tyrant. He's Batman from Earth -1, injected with the Doomsday Virus. Although his mind is a bit affected by madness, he's not just an unintelligent beast." Su Ming grabbed Zha Kang and walked to the small lounge where others had sat before: "Although Doomsday is related to Kryptonians, he's not afraid of Kryptonite at all. Listening to you would get us killed!"
Zha Kang was thrown onto a chair, adjusting his brown trench coat, while he bit down firmly on his cigarette.
"So killing it is hard, but there is a way to stall it. Just wait, I'll write you a scroll. Just burn it with a lighter when the time comes."
Su Ming frowned. Zha Kang's credibility was really in doubt. But dealing with the Tyrant was supposed to be the last part of the plan, and with some luck, Batman and Superman might bring back X Metal. With that, he could make Sea King and the Tyrant clash against each other.
"Alright, if this scroll doesn't work and holds us back, then when the world ends, it'll all be your fault."
Upon hearing this, Zha Kang hesitated, retracting his hand and adding a few strokes to the completed scroll: "Uh... don't worry, how could I mess with you regarding such a big matter? No problem at all."
"Alright, now let's talk about how to deal with the Batman version of Steel Bone. He's from Earth -44 of the Dark Multiverse." Su Ming took the scroll Zha Kang handed over and carefully stored it away.
"This... is difficult. We've observed those guys through magic. Being called a killing machine, it's hard to say if it's even alive at all." Zha Kang scratched his hair, and dandruff fell like snowflakes.
"It's controlled by the Alfred Protocol and modified by nanometal. Strictly speaking, it's a robot," Su Ming revealed what he knew.
"Then I can't help you. You know we have nothing to do with high-tech. Maybe you should find Luthor?"
Su Ming shook his head, dismissing Zha Kang's suggestion. If it were a normal robot rebellion, one could certainly seek out the world's smartest scientist. But Luthor, with that bald head sharper than a monkey, isn't even on Earth. After Darkseid turned into a baby, Luthor is now the Sovereign of Apocalypse Star, busy farming with alien girls.
Su Ming is just a Super Soldier. To go to Apocalypse Star, he'd need to gather Mother Boxes or find Steel Bone to open a sonic boom passage. The Mother Boxes are scattered, one inside Steel Bone, one on Apocalypse Star, and another somewhere unknown on Earth, while Steel Bone is now with Barbatos...
"Its weakness is electricity. A high-voltage current can paralyze it. Do you have a solution?" Su Ming shook his head, dispelling inconspicuous thoughts.
"Uh... there's no magic prop that can supply that much electricity for long. I bet even your Flash couldn't, or else you wouldn't be asking me... But maybe you can explore if there's any Divine Artifact that can do it. I'll admit, sometimes the Gods are a bit stronger than us."
Zha Kang stroked his moustache, plucking out a dried, unidentifiable crumb. He flicked it away, and it disappeared like a booger.
Su Ming pondered for a moment. He needed to prepare other things as well. It seemed Zha Kang truly couldn't deliver. Even if pressured further, it would only lead to a deceit.
Trading Bat Gold for a scroll from him was already good. Su Ming's bottom line was that Zha Kang only needed to provide intelligence. For the survival of the world, giving them Bat Gold was inevitable.
"Alright, use your Mysterious House's Anywhere Gate to send us to Mount Etna. I'm going to find the Fire God Hephaestus." Su Ming stood up, leaving the tea brought by the butler untouched, heading straight for the door.
Zha Kang paused, realizing Su Ming had more to say privately, and followed.
Returning to where they arrived, Su Ming lowered his voice: "Be wary of traitors among the Mages. Someone might join Barbatos."
Zha Kang flashed a cunning smile and winked at Su Ming: "What traitor? People just have different pursuits for magic, but rest assured, I'm prepared."
With that, he pulled a key from his trench coat pocket, inserting it seemingly into the air in an invisible door, and the tip of the key gradually disappeared.
This was a skill inherent to the Mysterious House. As long as Constantine, as the owner, set a location in mind, it could directly connect a door there, allowing Zha Kang to appear quickly anywhere.
Su Ming patted Barry, signaling him to leave. After courteously saying goodbye to Zha Kang, the two stepped through the door.
In the blink of an eye, they were in a pitch-black place, filled with an acrid smell and waves of damp heat.
If there's no mistake, this should be the inside of the volcano. Due to being incredibly ugly and passionate about forging, the Fire God Hephaestus hollowed out this mountain, creating a Divine Power Furnace within the lava to forge equipment.
If you wanted to find a Divine Artifact in the DC Universe, the first place Su Ming thought of was here.
Weapons crafted from Divine Metal are certainly of good quality, but what Su Ming needed now was a special tool capable of generating high-voltage electricity for a long time.
Barry pulled down his hood and wiped his sweat. The temperature here was unbearable: "It's so hot... By the way, what did you mean when you spoke to Constantine as we were leaving?"
Su Ming glanced back. The glowing door they'd stepped through had turned into a thin line, gradually becoming an ordinary large door: "Many mages use Dark Power, predisposing them to influence and brainwashing by Barbatos, hence I warned Constantine."
"Oh, it should be fine, right? Not all mages can be bad." Barry thought for a moment, relaxing.
"Heh, his butler, Demon Abbas, is in cahoots with him, just pretending to disagree for show." Su Ming proceeded down the corridor, feeling uncomfortable with the intense heat: "Humanoid demons are typically strong, possessing innate racial superpowers and high magic resistance, making them nemeses to mages."
"So when someone plans to do evil, that butler they thought would oppose Constantine, would actually help him?"
Barry started to understand, discomforted, he adjusted his neck. From the dirty place to jumping into a fire pit, now he just wanted a bath.
Su Ming took off his helmet and lit a cigarette by brushing it against the stone wall.
"Who knows, maybe he made some impossible promise to the demon, but we don't need to worry about him. That scoundrel has a remarkably tough life."
