But this time Su Ming was overthinking it, even if he didn't go looking for the Killing Machine, it had already proactively sought him out.
A large group of gaunt old men in tuxedos mixed in with the enemy tide, surging towards Su Ming, their faces expressionless as they used the nanoworms in their bodies to form various weapons, opening fire on Su Ming and Clark in the sky.
These Alfreds charged with a speed that seriously contradicted their aged appearance, while emitting strange, mechanically synthesized speech, sounding like an old tape recorder caught in a tangle.
"What can I do for you?"
"What can I do for you?"
"What can I do for you?"
This is the standard butler catchphrase, but now it carries a creepy chill-inducing eerie feeling, certainly not a London accent, perhaps a Hell accent.
An erroneous AI, an integrated platform of nanorobots, logically it should let Steel Bone come to fight it, using the computational power of the Mother Box to hack into their program.
But now Su Ming chooses to face them himself, relying on the Fire God's promise to help him request Zeus to use Thunder. Through sustained high-voltage electric shocks, overload these nanorobots and short-circuit their CPUs.
Regular EMPs don't work, the electromagnetic pulse duration is too short.
The key issue now is finding the main body of the Killing Machine, these butler androids are merely its creations, if the controller isn't fundamentally dealt with, the battle will be an endless war of attrition, with the battlefield containing various metals that can be converted into nanorobots.
"What can I do for you?"
A butler android's hands transformed into two huge blades, attacking Su Ming's chest, under the pitch-black sky, its expressionless face appeared extremely calm.
Su Ming dodged this attack, the program is, after all, a program, they may have integrated the combat experience of that world's Batman, but Batman's experience in wielding deadly weapons is definitely not as good as Deathstroke's.
"If convenient, can you die immediately? Thank you."
Su Ming countered by slicing off the head of the robotic butler with his Great Sword, then kicked its body, but after flying a certain distance, it disintegrated like layers of paper, once again regrouping into a new "Ah Fu"; several other robotic butlers crowded over.
"What can I do for you?"
"What can I do for you?"
On the dim battlefield, these monsters that looked like humans but weren't, used mechanical tones to repeatedly echo their mission, while the various weapons they formed in their hands approached Su Ming from all angles.
Block, parry, counterattack, Su Ming's Great Sword and Godslayer intertwined in a tight dance, repeatedly driving these guys back.
"I've stated the requirements, yet you don't fulfill them, bad review!"
Stalemates aren't solutions either, Su Ming rolled to dodge several energy beams, tossed a few ordinary grenades to temporarily block the butlers and some other enemies, calling for aerial support.
"Clark! Blow some air here!"
Nanorobots can be frozen in extremely cold conditions, not for very long, just long enough for Su Ming to find the Killing Machine and send a positioning screenshot to end things.
Clark in the sky naturally heard Deathstroke's request, immediately diving down to freeze a group of enemies before Su Ming with his breath, followed by pointing out the direction of the Killing Machine to Su Ming.
Running quickly through several ice sculptures, Su Ming dashed forward, the hiding place of the Killing Machine was in an inconspicuous crater on the battlefield, if not for Superman's X-ray vision spotting it, it would've been completely invisible to Su Ming.
The surrounding enemies kept flooding in, but Superman could handle them, all Su Ming had to do now was rush towards the target.
"Hmm... position is about right, locating... sending."
He didn't get too close but maintained a long distance from the Killing Machine, took out his phone to send a screenshot to the Fire God, a photo showing a rock with two sharp ears of the Killing Machine exposed.
The Killing Machine naturally noticed Su Ming's actions through the eyes of the surrounding Alfreds, but he couldn't comprehend why someone would be playing with a phone on the battlefield, it wasn't logical.
He instinctively decoded Deathstroke's signal, only to find it was a picture uploaded to some social media site?
What is this ruse? Is this Earth so unique that not only do people take selfies before a meal, but also on the battlefield?
After being transformed into a mechanical lifeform by the Alfred Protocol, the Killing Machine was the one among the Nightmare Batmen most focused on logical thinking, given that his brain had been replaced with a computer, now filled with the digits 0 and 1.
This allowed him to connect directly to various data networks on Earth, like Steel Bone, at the cognitive level, manipulating most automated devices.
But it also brought him a drawback — he couldn't comprehend things that didn't align with human behavioral logic.
He possessed all behavioral models of the Joker from another world as records, self-assuredly believing he could understand any madman. Until now, he realized there were actually two Deathstrokes on this world, the previous one not much different from the one in his own world, easily strapped to a Tuning Fork by the Dark Knight Order.
But this one, not only did his weapon threaten him, but his behavior was somewhat incomprehensible.
He experienced a slight glitch, feeling his brain's CPU overheating, but eventually determined this was a meaningless act of vanity.
"Humanity's useless vanity, tsk tsk…"
He prepared to mobilize more Alfreds to eliminate the foe, himself retreating to Barbatos's side.
Yet at that moment, daylight dawned.
Originally shrouded in darkness, with the cosmic rift hanging straight above in Gotham City, suddenly it became bright as day.
A massive lightning bolt cascaded down from the sky like a waterfall, abruptly striking the Killing Machine, along with many robotic butlers and otherworld villains enveloped in the blue-white beam.
In the column of blue-white light, these figures immediately disintegrated and disappeared, the intense electric current instantly broke them down into particles, turning them into a wisp of smoke.
The Killing Machine persisted for a second or two longer but was ultimately consumed by the light beam.
Su Ming crouched on the ground, the lightning strike blew countless rubble, directly blasting a huge gap in Challenger Mountain, small stones hitting him with ping-pong sounds.
Was this lightning? It clearly seemed like some sort of space-based weapon.
Su Ming felt the ground shaking intensely, looking up, a golden light and some shadows appeared in the sky. Faintly discernible was an old man with a white sheet and white beard holding a golden long spear, seated among the clouds.
That bizarre metal weapon was instead the most dazzling, not only emitting intense golden light but also twisting constantly, like a perpetually splitting live lightning.
Around the old man were figures similarly draped in sheets, indistinguishable in the strong light, but Su Ming could confirm they were likely the Olympian Gods, of course, the white-bearded old man couldn't be Run Tu.
Zeus had intervened, after Su Ming fulfilled his promise to help Diana eliminate the Merciless Iron Fists, the Olympian Pantheon, as agreed, delivered their reward.
And Zeus had evidently exerted real effort, originally Su Ming thought a few small lightning bolts to burn the Killing Machine's circuits would suffice, then have Clark freeze it in place so he could strike it with his Great Sword.
Unexpectedly, Zeus was so formidable, rallying the entire Divine System to unleash the Divine Artifact, directly turning the Killing Machine into ashes.
The Killing Machine did have dark energy protection, but the energy within him compared to a whole Divine System's positive energy was still too little, Zeus didn't need to seek a restraint method, simply using stronger energy to disperse it.
Of course, in the course of eliminating the enemy, they also performed an act of divine demonstration, now the whole world knows it's the Olympian Pantheon that intervened, likely garnering a swell of belief belief, quite advantageous.
Calculating, the Old Gods' schemes were too numerous, if possible, Su Ming truly wouldn't want to interact with them.
On reflection, they initially had Wonder Woman fighting on the battlefield as the Olympian Pantheon's representative, now even more so with the Main God directly intervening, it gives others the impression they resolved everything, post-battle they might emerge as the biggest winners...
