Chapter 164 - Chapter 136: Charge

"Ha ha, happy times always pass by quickly, waiting for the result you want?"

The Laughing Bat beckoned the Robins over with a finger, stroking their heads, recalling what they used to look like before they turned into this grotesque state.

Su Ming's single eye's pupil shrank rapidly. As expected, the Laughing Bat has come to his senses...

"Do you know what I'm waiting for?"

"Oh ho ho... I saw your performance on the battlefield. You got here so quickly, wasn't it thanks to The Flash's speed? Do you really think I was unprepared?"

The Laughing Bat picked up the chains of the Robins, wrapping them around his arm, leisurely as if walking a dog in the park, asking him calmly two questions back.

Su Ming also picked up his helmet, putting it back on his head.

The thing he worried about happened—the Laughing Bat wasn't insane at all. Su Ming thought he was mad, pretended to be crazy, and danced awkwardly with him, while he played along, also stalling for time.

What was he waiting for?

Maybe the earlier stalling was something they both wanted, but now the situation is too clear, the tacit understanding between them is broken.

"Barry, what's happened to him?"

Su Ming felt uneasy, could it be that The Flash stumbled again at the last moment before victory? Does he have to make a sacrificial offering every time?

The Laughing Bat waved his hand, casually pulling out a handkerchief to wipe his sweat, still pretending to be gasping for breath.

"Whew, don't worry, he's not dead yet. I made a little modification under the Anti-Monitor's brain device; only an idiot would be bitten by the hypnosis needle. It seems he didn't grab the brain directly like me, but unnecessarily went to lift the device instead."

As he spoke, the Laughing Bat exaggeratedly made an Overlord's Cauldron Lifting gesture.

Su Ming frowned. This Laughing Bat is completely different from what he anticipated; things have gone beyond the scope of the information.

"What do you plan to do?"

"Shh... don't rush, at this point, why not wait for Batman to come and I'll explain everything together." The Laughing Bat grinned widely, speaking to Su Ming in an operatic tone, then lowered his head: "Go, tie our guests over there, and don't eat them."

He directed the Robins to head behind him, disappearing behind the stone walls and pillars from Su Ming's view, soon, they emerged like a tribal hunting return, carrying The Flash and Joker from behind.

They found sticks from somewhere, and Barry's hands and feet were bound, the ropes tied to the sticks to carry him.

He had fallen into a deep sleep, and from his expression, he didn't seem comfortable.

As for the Joker, he was the same as always, in a purple suit, with pale skin, now also unconscious, carried out in the same posture as Barry.

Following the Laughing Bat's orders, they tied Barry and Joker next to Wonder Woman.

Diana tried to kick Barry with her foot, but they were too close, making it unrealistic to slap him with her shoe.

The Robins immediately snickered and moved Barry away, tying the Joker between the two.

Looking at the Joker with his drooping green head, Wonder Woman felt an unease in her heart. How did this guy end up in the Bat Cave, and how did the Laughing Bat capture him?

This madman always sent chills down one's spine.

This feeling is hard to describe. The Joker's strength is poor; in terms of skill, anyone in the Justice League is far superior, yet he always brings unexpected surprises, giving a sense of horror.

Even now, passed out, he still has a frightening smile on his face, as if about to burst into laughter at any moment.

The Laughing Bat just glanced at them and immediately bent over with laughter. He wiped nonexistent tears with a handkerchief, sentimentally saying.

"So wonderful, so wonderful, these characters always bring me joy, reminding me of the happy times of the past..."

However, he didn't realize he had inadvertently said too much, revealing ample information.

Now Su Ming approximately understood what was going on. The computing speed of Deathstroke's brain is not overestimated; with all possibilities excluded, the improbable remaining is the truth.

The Joker hiding in the Bat Cave, was intelligence Su Ming gathered from comics. Apart from him and the Joker himself, theoretically, no third person in this world should know.

Yet the Laughing Bat knew, capturing him with apparent ease.

Even in the Main World, Batman would have to go through considerable effort to catch Joker, at least after a good beating, it's unavoidable.

But just now when Joker was carried out, not to mention lacking wounds, even his clothes were pristine.

Does this indicate the Laughing Bat had a plan? He knew the Joker was here all along, and so he made preparations?

Then Su Ming's prior doubts are explained.

There are two plausible scenarios: one, the Laughing Bat is a Transmigrator, coming from the reality world like Su Ming.

The other is the Laughing Bat broke through the Fourth Wall, learned the original storyline, and knew the Joker was hiding here.

There are both possibilities, but the probability of him being a Transmigrator and a madman is too small.

Whether it was Su Ming himself or the many transmigration novels he had read, the protagonists always tried to survive.

The Laughing Bat is different; he doesn't want to live at all, which doesn't align with the traits of a Transmigrator. His nostalgia and feelings for the Robin beside him are not fake.

There's only one answer left: he has crossed the Fourth Wall.

This is a hypothesis that Su Ming is quite worried about. Once Batman has grasped so much information, can he really turn the tables?

"Don't come, Bruce, give me some time."

Su Ming murmured in his heart. He didn't know what the Laughing Bat intended to do when Bruce came, but seeing him clutch a big red button, it was clear it wasn't anything good.

However, he also knew that expecting Bruce not to come was not realistic. Everyone was in the Bat Cave now, with Bruce's home just above them. Whether sooner or later, he would eventually come home.

Should he strike first? Launch a remote raid to seize the remote control?

Although Su Ming was quick to draw his gun, the Laughing Bat, being another Bruce, could dodge it. Once dodged, whether he presses the button or not would be uncertain.

The Laughing Bat isn't afraid of death, but Su Ming wasn't that ready to face it. He hadn't been in the DC World for long enough, and he was still busy running around without having lived any good days. The lengthy bill left for Batman hadn't been settled, amounting to tens of millions of US Dollars.

How could Su Ming, who used to be a small security guard, bear to die?

But Slade's soul also merged with his. Deathstroke was never afraid to gamble with life, nor did he mind comparing ruthlessness with others.

It was as if a voice was shouting loud inside his heart.

"Deathstroke, charge!"

Yes, as a warrior, what might happen next should perhaps only be considered after charging forward, right?

Tactics sometimes prove useless, so the courage to charge forward is the most important.

He learned a sense of responsibility for Earth from Cindy, optimism and fearlessness from Barry, and the belief to face anything from the American Warrior.

Compared to the former small security guard, he has grown so much.

As a Transmigrator who thought he had a wealth of information and was used to employing various strategies, Su Ming finally saw himself clearly, returning to simplicity.

When facing the unknown Laughing Bat, he did feel a tinge of fear, as he didn't want to die, and things beyond his control did incur fleeting panic.

But Su Ming quickly understood that the strategy and layout were not his trump cards; his very existence was!

Deathstroke's strength was not only in his brain and tactics; he was also the best warrior on Earth when charging at the front lines!

"Hehe..."

Laughter intermittently emerged from beneath Su Ming's mask. As he laughed, he unbuckled his Nightfall Greatsword from behind and skillfully spun it around.

"Oh? Why are you laughing?"

The Laughing Bat tilted his head curiously. He hadn't even done anything yet, and Deathstroke was already going mad?

"You made me feel fear once, Batman. Even though it was just a tiny bit, I must admit it, because it made me realize some things."

Su Ming exhaled slowly, flexing his fingers around the great sword. He could feel the weapon in his hands calling out to him.

"Hmm...is that so? Why don't you just kill yourself? It's for your own good."

The Laughing Bat pinched his sharp chin, seemingly very sincere.

Su Ming drew out his Godslayer with his other hand. This adaptable scimitar instantly twisted and transformed into a similarly styled giant sword. Its sharp blade gleamed with a golden light.

"Didn't you hear the tolling of the bell of Death next to your ear? You're the one who's going to die."

"Oh? So, what are you going to do? I can press the button, you know?"

The Laughing Bat tugged at Robin's chains, making them line up in a wall in front of him while proudly showcasing the red button to Su Ming.

It was indeed, as Su Ming thought, a remote control device. Once pressed, the Anti-Monitor's brain would naturally fall from the prepared device onto the Watcher's exposed cranium.

In the distance, the sound of water dripping echoed in the Bat Cave, and Diana's concerned gaze fell upon Su Ming. He could hear it and feel it.

Though this decision was stimulating, he enjoyed this kind of life.

"Do what.....?"

Su Ming suddenly accelerated and jumped, lunging towards Robin with lightning speed. The black and gold weapons in his left and right hands stretched out like the wings of a great bird.

"Of course, it's charging!"
