Chapter 326 - Chapter 294: Apocalypse Unleashed

In the tomb chamber, Apocalypse was right in front of everyone.

With gray skin, he wasn't tall, but appeared very robust.

He was wearing his gilded battle armor, adorned with Egyptian motifs, and a helmet that resembled an alien, lying silently on the stone platform, wrapped in chains formed by a crimson energy that bound him there.

The stone platform was carved with strange patterns, some golden matter tried to extend upwards, but was constantly repelled by the red energy.

"Is he asleep?" Wade poked his head out, looking at Apocalypse's face, "It'd be pretty hard to sleep with such bright light, right?"

Su Ming rolled his eyes and gave Deadpool a smack on the head, "Do you think he wants to sleep? Don't you understand what the word 'seal' means? It's forced hibernation by the Phoenix Power."

"So what do we do now? Use an alarm clock?"

"Naturally, we break force with force."

Su Ming tossed the half-boned Wade to Cable, while he drew out the Nightfall Greatsword with a reverse grip, raising it overhead, activating the X Metal to flow towards the sword's blade through telekinesis.

Instantly, the tomb chamber was bathed in dazzling silver light, everything looked as if shrouded in moonlight.

Su Ming swung the sword towards the Phoenix Power; the red energy seemed to move as if it had a mind, attempting to flow and evade, spinning rapidly in a small area.

However, any living being could have all escape routes sealed by Deathstroke, not to mention the Phoenix Power confined to a stone platform; if Su Ming didn't need Apocalypse to deal with Conqueror Kang right now, he could have chopped Apocalypse with a single swing.

The sharp blade hit the red line at a cunning angle, with just a gentle touch, nothing extra, all red lines melted like snow and vanished.

They disintegrated in segments, then disappeared, as if erased from the world.

Su Ming sheathed the great sword, stepped back a few steps, watching the golden liquid below the stone platform flow upwards, following the grooves underneath Apocalypse's body, then instantly, golden light flourished.

"Wow, first there was red, then white, now it's gold; I'm really fed up, can someone check my insurance and see if there's a vision clause?"

Deadpool turned, embracing Cable's chest, his body softly like a snake, snugly leaning against Cable's solid chest.

Cable dry-heaved, turned around and tossed Deadpool to Domino...

Su Ming was too lazy to deal with Wade's antics, he was more focused on Apocalypse's condition.

The dark figure sat up amidst the golden light, sparks of spiritual energy erupted from his entire body, like he turned into purple.

"We saved the wrong person, we released Thanos." Deadpool started babbling again, "Ah, wait, I was just looking for Thanos."

Domino inserted her fingers into Wade's nostrils, she couldn't care less if it was Thanos or Apocalypse, she needed to grab the time to torment Deadpool.

The golden and purple rays intertwined, slowly merging into Apocalypse's body as he floated off the stone platform.

The oldest mutant on Earth had awakened.

He gazed at those surrounding him with clouded eyes, scrutinizing each person before speaking, "Did you awaken me?"

Arabic, that wasn't an issue for Su Ming.

He nodded slightly, taking a step forward, "Great En Shaba Nur, it was us, your loyal followers, calling for your return."

"What time is it now?" Apocalypse landed, flexing his limbs, checking the armor on his body.

He wasn't too concerned about the armor's protective capacity, what was important was maintaining dignified and solemn attire in front of his followers; a god shouldn't appear tattered.

"If calculated according to the 'Wandering Calendar', it's the summer of the year 4942." In this world, the Ancient Egyptian Calendar was invented by Apocalypse, just add 3000 to the current AD year.

"Since my last... cough, it's been over a hundred years." Apocalypse originally wanted to mention the last defeat, but the people in front of him were very young, likely unaware of him being bullied by the Phoenix last time, thus no need to bring up failure.

"Ah, great Enshabunur, haven't you been asleep for thousands of years?" Su Ming feigned surprise, also appropriately showing a puzzled expression.

"Indeed, that's correct, thousands of years." No expression was evident on Apocalypse's cyan face, "Have you heard of someone named Nathaniel Essex?"

Apocalypse closed his eyes, first probing for the traitorous Mr. Sinister, who fled right away during the last confrontation with the Phoenix, leading Apocalypse to think the bestowal of those powers might as well have been on a dog.

At least a dog knows loyalty.

However, his search turned up nothing; the magical protection of the London Temple was quite complete, so he decided to ask his followers.

Honestly, despite being a bit tyrannical as a king, Apocalypse was somewhat magnanimous; if his subordinates were capable and loyal, he didn't care about their usual attitudes.

They could call him by name, no need to bow upon meeting; as long as they were mutants or humans worshiping mutants, he was highly accepting of them.

"Who is that? Great god, we've never heard the name before." Su Ming pretended ignorance, hoping Apocalypse would clash with the Conqueror rather than causing trouble at the London Temple, or confront the Master Ancient.

"Hm, no matter; he can't hide forever."

Apocalypse snorted fiercely, suppressing the anger within his heart, once more turning his gaze towards his 'loyal' followers, they still remembered their Enshabunur after thousands of years, a fitting group of subordinates indeed.

He led the group outward, wanting to take a stroll outside the Pyramid; time bore no meaning to him but still wanted to see how his former kingdom fared.

What else would he see; if it was still tolerable during his last visit, now Egypt had been made a mess by the Allies and the Axis.

Su Ming watched Apocalypse soar from the Pyramid, inspecting his territory from altitude, swept-up yellow sand revealing only a speck of Apocalypse floating in the sky.

After a long time, Apocalypse descended again, gesturing for the group to follow him; he employed his powers directly, making everyone float up as he revoked localized gravity so that everyone could keep pace with him in the air.

"It's become quite worn compared to the last time I saw this place," Apocalypse casually mentioned to Su Ming.

"Indeed, our god, time and the sands altered many things." Su Ming quickly complied.

"Those are not issues, since I've returned, the Empire shall again flourish." Unable to find Mr. Sinister, Apocalypse now had nowhere to go, so farming seemed as good an option.

With a wave, everyone flew through the atmosphere at a terrifying speed; after intense winds, they appeared in an alleyway in Cairo City.

Apocalypse paid no mind to the dilapidated surroundings, used telekinesis to flatten everything around, his eyes flipped, and directly pulled from underground the ancient palace buried thousands of years ago.

"Boom!!!"

After a loud bang, the area was shrouded in dust, revealing a vast Divine Hall right before everyone.

Without explanation, Apocalypse enveloped everyone and flew directly inside, igniting eternal lamps with Fire Ability, cleaned the palace using Water Ability, organized nearby debris with Meteorological Ability, and employed Spiritual Energy to make ordinary people in the city ignore this sight.

These tasks for him were merely thoughts, all within a second.

At this moment, he sat on the long-lost throne, patiently awaiting Su Ming's explanation.

When followers seek gods, there's inevitably an ask, and with good mood, rewarding loyal followers seemed deserving.

The people were mutants, and Apocalypse could see their mutant genes, though he had a bit of uncertainty about their leader.

Calling him a mutant doesn't seem entirely fitting, yet to deny it, he clearly possesses numerous extraordinary qualities.

Though mutants come in all forms, perhaps there are mutants with anthropomorphic abilities?

Apocalypse didn't care, he wanted to hear their requests, then fulfill them, being quite the benevolent god.

Among these mutants, none were Omega Level, just one Alpha Level girl; the others' mutant abilities seemed very weak.

Apocalypse had already decided, if they sought power, he'd promptly advance them, making them all Omega mutants, to conquer the world together.
