Chapter 411 - Chapter 379: Interrogation

"Constantine?! Why are you here?"

Bo Bo ran quickly, darting between the young ladies' legs, and leapt onto his table.

The commotion quickly caught the girls' attention, and upon seeing Diana, some of them pulled up their cloaks to cover their faces and slipped away through various doors.

Constantine swirled his glass: "As you can see, just here to drink."

Bo Bo didn't believe a word of his nonsense; this guy could drink anywhere, but he absolutely wouldn't come to the Forgotten Bar without a reason.

Yet everything in the bar seemed normal, and there was nothing amiss, plus Zha Kang had paid, thus he was a guest.

The Forgotten Bar doesn't expel guests.

"It better be just like you said..."

Bo Bo eyed Constantine with a Batman-like gaze, but he didn't detect anything unusual. Zha Kang blinked innocently at him.

"Relax, my furry friend, I'm just having a few drinks, watching the young ladies play games, and then heading back to London."

Su Ming had no interest in tangling with Constantine; he now had a beautiful version of the Hell Detective, so why would he need the original wanderer?

"Constantine."

"Hey, hello, Otherworld's Deathstroke, did the scroll I gave you last time work well?"

"Haha, thanks to you, now Satan probably wants to kill me." Talking about it made him furious; last time, he almost got screwed over.

"Uh, magic always comes with a price, doesn't it?" Constantine's face was as thick as a fortress wall; he brazenly whistled without a trace of shame.

"No worries, the past is the past." Su Ming appeared very magnanimous. He removed his helmet and began eating the peanuts on Zha Kang's table: "So, Inverted Man, Hecate, how much do you know about them?"

Constantine tilted his head, showing a pained expression as if he had a stomachache.

"Is this magic anomaly about Hecate? Really..."

"You don't know?" Su Ming looked at him, slowly drawing the Godslayer and placing it on the table: "Stop playing dumb, tell me some insider information, you mages' little secrets."

"I really don't know. Why not ask Miss Colorado beside you?"

As he said this, he gave a smile he thought was charming and nodded at Albella.

Albella smiled and nodded back, then immediately threw a fireball in his direction. Luckily, Diana, who was beside her, reacted quicker, directly using her shield to ground the magic, turning it into a muggle.

Otherwise, Bo Bo would have to think of how to renovate the place again.

"Calm down, mage." Diana held Albella's shoulder, indicating her to stay calm.

But Albella looked at her strangely, very composed: "My means of communication with him is through various magic spells. For example, when I throw a fireball at him, that's me greeting his mother. If I shoot lightning at him, it's telling him to go screw himself..."

Diana was at a loss for words, thinking what kind of communication is this? Is this from Hell?

"Did he provoke you?"

"Sort of, he once disguised himself as me and took my wages."

Having failed in her attack, Albella didn't seem to want to continue; she merely snapped her fingers, ordering a good bottle of wine and some cigars, signaling it all to be on Su Ming's tab.

Diana shrugged; alright, it did sound like something Constantine would do, and it seemed Albella had also been tricked by him.

Unexpectedly, after replenishing her smoke and drink, Albella revealed a smug smile and added: "So I disguised myself as him, went to Zatanna's place, and tricked the money back, also got a little cozy with her for a while."

Diana squinted; these two truly belong together...

"Dagger."

Su Ming grabbed the Godslayer, transforming it into a dagger, and with his other hand, he grabbed Constantine's hand, pressing it on the table.

"Let's play a finger-chopping game, I've heard it helps enhance memory."

Before Constantine could refuse, Su Ming wielded the dagger swiftly between his fingers.

The most distressed was Bo Bo, as this table was a genuine antique thousands of years old!

"Tap tap tap..."

Rapid and continuous sounds echoed, like raindrops pattering on the forest, and the yellow-black arm armor left afterimages. Constantine only felt a chill between his fingers.

"Are you thinking the Tremble Feedback Curse will reflect one hundred times the damage to me when I hurt you?" Su Ming spoke to Zha Kang with a smile, not even glancing at his hand.

"Isn't it?" Zha Kang squinted, his Tremble Feedback Curse had tricked many melee fighters before. But now that this trump card was exposed by Deathstroke, did it mean the opponent already had countermeasures?

"Wanna bet? Using your favorite left middle finger?" Su Ming accelerated, the dagger's contact with the table sounded like a buzzing, indistinguishable.

Constantine decided not to gamble, though he loved gambling, he loved his middle finger more.

If he couldn't flip the bird at someone in the future, he'd surely go mad.

"You win, but I truly don't know much more than you. If you're looking for Hecate, it's best to ask Circe, she's Hecate's witch, her devotee."

Su Ming nodded slightly, putting away the dagger, it seemed this was the truth.

While wielding the knife, he observed Zha Kang's pupils and facial sweat glands, and grasping Zha Kang's hand, he also monitored his pulse and blood flow speed, all signs indicated he wasn't lying.

As for the Tremble Feedback Curse, Su Ming hadn't prepared to break it.

But with Albella accompanying them, Constantine was bluffed, not expecting Albella to say nothing, let alone set up a counter curse.

"In that case, drink your wine quietly here, bye-bye."

Now he still needed to find Circe, so if he didn't want to be turned into a pig or sheep, it was best to immediately get some Moly.

"Hey, if you're looking for Circe, you'd better prepare a Unicorn for the counter curse, its blood can break magic." Constantine added this as the group was leaving, as long as he didn't have to exert himself and only offered advice, he had no problem.

Su Ming shot him an annoyed look, even considered tossing a grenade over.

While it's true a Unicorn has such capabilities, it is a creature protected by the world's essence, using a Unicorn's blood, whether drinking or otherwise, would invoke a curse from the Red of All Beings.

Clearly, using Moly would solve the problem, so why mess with Unicorn blood and bring a stench upon oneself? The Red of All Beings and the Green of All Things are equally annoying, even if they don't kill you, they'll drive you crazy.

So this suggestion is just a trap.

"Save it, I want to live a few more years."

The group vanished through a door after Su Ming spoke.

Trish sneakily peeked out from behind the bar, and seeing them leave, she immediately jumped onto the counter, popped open a bottle of champagne, and sprayed it fiercely.

"Haha, ladies, the boss is gone! Let's party!"

But Constantine, sitting in the corner, wasn't in a partying mood; his face was stern.

The magic aura here was not right; it was starting to expand.

He clearly felt this change, and it was not a good omen.
