Chapter 461 - Chapter 255: Little Lugia GET! Farewell to Cynthia

But this is just a beautiful fantasy; the true situation is that those guys are not only strong but also dodge and hide, making those who are out in the open run around exhausted before launching an attack from the shadows.

To make them face off directly, it's estimated that only when they have absolute power will such a scene occur.

"Miss Cynthia, do you know about Yveltal?" Ash showed a surprised expression. He knew about Yveltal because of explanations from the big shots in his group, but how does Cynthia also seem to know about Yveltal? Just hearing the name of the power made him think of it.

"I forgot to tell you all, besides being the Sinnoh Champion, I'm also a historian. I have knowledge of the history and legends of various regions," Cynthia said softly as she sipped her tea.

"Historian… I never expected you to have such an identity, Miss Cynthia."

"It's no big deal, let's get back to the main topic, Ash. I hope you can temporarily take care of Little Lugia," Cynthia put down her teacup and said seriously to Ash.

This statement left Ash a bit puzzled: "Wha… what? Hasn't Little Lugia already recovered? Shouldn't we put him back into the ocean now?"

Previously, Little Lugia needed protection from others due to his condition, but now Little Lugia is back to normal and based on his data, normally, a trainer of not too high a caliber wouldn't be able to capture him.

[Species: Lugia]

[Gender: Female]

[Attribute: Dark, Flying]

[Level: Gym Peak]

[Ability: Dark Aura]

[Skills: Dark Pulse, Aero Blast, Sky Return, Shadow Ball...]

[Six-dimensional Ability: Physical Attack S (S), Special Attack S (S), Defense S (S), Special Defense S (S), Physical Strength S (S), Speed S (S)]

Gym Peak level strength, full S-Class attributes, coupled with the constitution of a Legendary Beast, even if a mid-level Elite comes, they might not be able to defeat Little Lugia.

Don't be fooled by this little guy's size; his actual strength is top-notch.

To date, Ash has only seen three with full S-Class abilities: Ho-Oh, Mewtwo, and Gardevoir. Now, Little Lugia is the fourth.

Before absorbing the Dark Attribute power, Little Lugia's six abilities had also reached S-Class, but his attribute values hadn't reached the top tier, being either B or A, with no S, and even his level was just Gym middle-level.

This time, fortunately through misfortune, not only did his level ascend two stages but his abilities have all risen to the top level of the current class, skyrocketing, so to speak.

Though this power was exchanged at the cost of Little Lugia's life, he ultimately overcame this crisis and turned it into his own power, acquiring enough strength to protect himself.

As long as Little Lugia returns to the ocean and searches for the Sea God possibly lurking beneath the waves, even if Team Galactic intends to act against him, it'll be impossible.

Cynthia shook her head at Ash's suggestion, "It's not really safe; we don't know if people from Team Galactic are ambushed around the Orange Archipelago area, nor do we understand how they managed to catch Little Lugia. If we put Little Lugia back into the sea and he falls prey to Team Galactic again, what should we do?"

"I don't know how strong Little Lugia is now, but knowing they could harness Yveltal's power implies they possess means of targeting Legendary Beasts, otherwise, they wouldn't search for the Sea God."

"Though I doubt they can rival the Sea God, dealing with an entity like Little Lugia seems plausible. That's why I initially sought your help, Ash. You naturally possess Divine Domain level power."

Cynthia approached Ash after learning from Lorelei that Ash had Divine Domain level power, referring here not to Pokemon but Ash himself.

Such power appearing among humans, rather than with Legendary Beasts, was incredibly shocking to Cynthia, naturally. If Lorelei hadn't shared this information, Cynthia might have sent the informant straight to a psychiatric ward: what nonsense were they talking?

However, it was Lorelei who spoke. Lorelei wouldn't deceive her, so despite the unbelievable truth, it remained factual.

Following Little Lugia's incident, Cynthia continually observed Ash, pondering if he was a suitable guardian.

Apart from strength, character is a significant factor, and one's character can be discerned through Pokemon battles.

After observing him for a few days, Cynthia recognized Ash's character favorably, convinced by the warmth of how Ash interacts with his Pokemon which she witnessed yesterday.

That's when Cynthia realized that the best place for Little Lugia at the moment is with Ash, unless the Sea God can be found to allow Little Lugia to return to the Lugia species.

Otherwise, with evil organizations lurking in shadows, Ash's side seems a safer bet.

After listening to Cynthia's analysis, Ash pondered briefly and nodded firmly, "Miss Cynthia makes a good point; I'll take Little Lugia under my protection! I promise to safely bring her back to her parents!"

Saying he didn't want Lugia around is surely a lie, leaving Lugia's ability values aside, it's a Legendary Beast!

Even he wants to capture a Legendary Beast, right?

Although capturing it means he would eventually have to let it go upon meeting the Sea God, forging a deep friendship with Little Lugia wouldn't be bad either.

Yet, Ash always prioritizes choices beneficial to Pokemon; if returning Little Lugia directly to the ocean were best, Ash would decide not to keep Lugia by his side.

However, as the analysis shows, keeping Little Lugia with him appears safer. After the Quartz Conference, he plans to head to the Orange Archipelago to search for her species and possibly get some sightseeing done, a win-win!

After gaining Ash's agreement, a radiant smile emerged on Cynthia's pretty face as she extended her hand, handing over the black-gold Pokeball to Ash.

"This Pokeball's principle for stabilizing Little Lugia's life is to calm and soothe the Dark Attribute power within Little Lugia. Although Little Lugia is now transformed into a Dark Attribute, this Pokeball should still be useful to him, residing long-term in this Pokeball would be more comfortable than a ordinary one."

Ash nodded, taking the black-gold Pokeball from Cynthia's hand.

Upon careful examination, Ash realized the Pokeball was much more refined than he imagined, incomparable to ordinary Pokeballs. That master called Steele is impressive! If he visits Johto in the future and meets Master Steele, he hopes Steele can craft exclusive Pokeballs for all his Pokemon.

Far away in Johto, Master Steele shivered involuntarily~

"Well, if there's nothing else, I'll be leaving first, expecting to see your performance in the Quartz Conference main tournament. I might not be able to watch later matches, but I believe you'll surely win the championship, Ash~" Cynthia tilted her head slightly with a cheerful expression, waved to Ash and the others before turning away.

The reason Cynthia entrusted Little Lugia to Ash was to investigate Team Galactic without worry. This pest of Sinnoh, a pest of the world, needed uncovering or she'd feel uneasy.

From a normal perspective or even as the Sinnoh Champion, it's the same.

Thus, further matches took second place; investigating Team Galactic took precedence.

After bidding farewell to Cynthia, Ash and the others, including Pikachu and even Mewtwo, gathered around Little Lugia, all curious about the member of the legendary Sea God's species.

In such a situation, Little Lugia's eyelid twitched slightly…
