Chapter 84 - Chapter 84 Aurora

"Welcome everyone to the Holy Land Lindwurm to witness the Goddess's Trial!"

A middle-aged man with a potbelly and a receding hairline shouted.

He was currently the Archbishop of the Holy Land.

According to the investigations by Alpha and others, the previous Archbishop had secretly harbored a Demon Possession, developing genuine affection for it and treating the girl as his own child.

After being discovered by The Order, the previous Archbishop died.

That Demon Possession had already been rescued by Alpha and her group and sent to a safe place.

Everything was also told by that Demon Possession. Alpha had captured several members of The Order, and the answers they provided were the same.

Alpha did not fully trust that Demon Possession.

She had a feeling that there was something wrong with that Demon Possession.

It was well-known that The Order's members were all selfish individuals, and to sit in the position of Archbishop, they must have done many bad things in secret.

Alpha did not believe that such a person would develop genuine affection for a Demon Possession.

Sino planned to meet that person after the matters in the Holy Land were resolved.

The Goddess's Trial proceeded as scheduled, with Alpha and her group waiting outside.

Sino and Sid sat together.

The two sat in a corner of the audience stands, both holding cola and burgers.

The Goddess's Trial would last a long time, so they definitely needed to prepare food in advance.

Milia also sat there; her appearance and temperament were out of place among the surrounding bystanders. She was also holding a large bag of burgers, which she had bought for Sid and Sino, as was proper for a maid.

Milia's beauty and temperament were very conspicuous in the crowd.

Alice spotted Milia at a glance and walked towards her.

"Student Milia, I can take you to the VIP section. Would you like to come along?"

"I refuse! I want to be with my boyfriend!"

"Milia, since the Princess has invited you, you should go!" Sino said.

After all, the surrounding people had already noticed them. It was too high-profile, and Sino was planning to do something big later, so Milia being there was too eye-catching.

Milia stood up and followed Alice.

Alice took another look at Sino and Sid.

She felt that these two brothers looked utterly ordinary when placed in a crowd.

Yet Milia was completely obedient to Sino.

"To get Milia to do something, wouldn't it be more efficient to just ask Student Xi Nuo directly?" Alice thought to herself.

There were only three VIP seats with the Archbishop: Alice occupied one, and Natsume (Beta) occupied one.

The other seat was empty.

Alice invited Milia to sit there.

"Princess Alice, this is…!"

The Archbishop with the receding hairline looked at Milia.

"This is Milia, my friend!"

"So that's it, but if she is merely your friend, she is not qualified to sit here!"

The Archbishop's tone suddenly changed as he spoke.

"What do you mean by that?" Alice demanded, suddenly very angry.

"The VIP seats are only for those in high positions of power, or those with high renown. They are not for just any Tom, Dick, or Harry."

Alice clenched her fists.

"Is the Archbishop implying that I am just any Tom, Dick, or Harry?"

"Your Highness Alice, don't be angry. I was just joking to liven up the atmosphere!"

Alice thought about recent events; she had barely investigated the Archbishop's death, which seemed to have made The Holy Church believe she was weak and easily bullied.

The Archbishop with the receding hairline was merely testing Alice's attitude.

Beta was also sitting in the VIP section at this time.

Originally, she had planned to dress simply, but Sino had objected.

Now, Beta was dressed much more conservatively, not as revealing as the outfit she initially chose. Only a tiny bit of cleavage was visible.

Without Princess Rose, no one had signed up Sid, so he was currently just an observer.

Time flew by, and only one ancient warrior was successfully summoned; everyone else failed. Unbeknownst to them, it was already night.

"Next up, Midgar Magic Swordsman Academy, Cid Kagenou!"

"A student from the Magic Swordsman Academy! How brave to participate in the Goddess's Trial!"

Even the Archbishop with the receding hairline praised Sino.

At this moment, Sino walked down.

Sid grabbed Sino.

"This thing is quite accurate, aren't you afraid of being exposed? Otherwise, I'll go on stage and mess everything up!"

"No need, I have my own plan!"

"How could I give Aurora to you, Sid! Aurora is mine too!" Sino thought to himself.

Sino walked openly into the arena.

At this moment, the magic circle suddenly lit up.

An ancient spirit appeared.

"This, how can this be? I clearly didn't do anything!" the Archbishop with the receding hairline said in disbelief.

At this moment, an ancient spirit appeared; a woman in a blue-purple long dress emerged, possessing the same mature, elegant aura as Gamma.

Neither of them spoke, only communicating with their eyes.

Sino sensed the other party's fighting spirit. He immediately drew his magic sword.

"That guy from the Magic Swordsman Academy actually successfully summoned an ancient spirit!"

"Yes, yes, it's incredible!"

"So many people failed, yet he, a student, succeeded!"

The audience discussed Sino.

"Who exactly is that summoned spirit?!"

Alice was also extremely surprised. She looked at the summoned ancient spirit and asked.

"Calamity Witch Aurora!"

Milia, Alice, and the Archbishop with the receding hairline all looked at Beta.

"You actually know that name!" the Archbishop with the receding hairline exclaimed.

"As an excellent writer, I have read many books. I saw this name, Calamity Witch Aurora, in one book! But what specific calamities she brought to the world, that is unknown!"

At this moment, Aurora launched an attack on Sino.

Magic power, like raindrops, attacked Sino.

Sino waved his hand, and a magic shield appeared, blocking all the attacks.

Sino stood still and snapped his fingers elegantly.

The magic shield transformed into individual water droplets.

The next second, they all turned into fine needles, attacking Aurora.

Aurora's eyes widened; the opponent had only seen her technique once and was already using her ultimate move.

This was too incredible.

Aurora floated in the sky, and Sino stood on the ground, as the two engaged in a magical bombardment.

"What on earth is Sino doing?! Is he just exposing his strength like this?" Sid said in disbelief.

Sino began to float at this moment, slowly ascending.

After raising his hand, a blue-purple magic sphere enveloped the arena.

"Domain Expansion!"

A giant magic circle appeared within the arena, and countless violets rapidly took root, sprouted, budded, and bloomed.

Aurora watched all of this in surprise.

"Magic can actually do such things! It's unbelievable!"

"Is this really something a human can do?"

"This is too exaggerated, who exactly is Cid Kagenou?!"

...The audience exclaimed.

At this moment, at the entrance of the arena, a person tied up like a caterpillar crawled out.

"Help!"

The person broke free from the restraints on their mouth and shouted.

Milia jumped down and directly cut the ropes on the person's body.

At this moment, Milia's sword pointed at Sino in the center of the arena.

"You are not Cid Kagenou, who exactly are you?!"
