Chapter 108: Tyrant

Roar—

A large military attack helicopter hovered over St. Julianna Hospital in Tolgon City.

Hearing the unusual noise outside, Mord rushed out of the hospital, looked up at the helicopter high in the sky, and narrowed his eyes slightly.

Though he didn't know their intentions, his sixth sense told him this was aimed at him.

Under Mord's gaze, the rear hatch of the attack helicopter opened, and a massive figure was thrown directly from dozens of meters in the air.

Boom!

A loud crash echoed as dust and debris flew everywhere.

Mord gripped his sword, his eyes fixed ahead. Sensing the oppressive aura from the opponent, the corners of his mouth curled slightly.

After all these days, someone worth fighting had finally arrived.

Killing those target-like zombies had nearly put him to sleep.

As the dust slowly settled, a five-meter-wide crater was visible on the ground, and the monster crouching at its center showed no signs of injury.

Mord could sense no Nen aura from the creature, meaning it had achieved this through pure physical strength alone.

"Roar! Roar!"

As its specially made restraints fell away, the monster stood up, pounding its chest with its fists and howling at the sky.

Nearly four meters tall, with thick arms and exposed, rock-solid muscle tissues forming an exoskeleton-like structure, it resembled a small giant.

It lifted its head, slowly opened its eyes, and revealed pupils of bright yellow with a cold, metallic gleam, devoid of any emotion.

It stared directly at Mord.

Its gaze was as sharp as a blade.

With that one look, Mord knew he had been locked on.

Boom!

A deafening sound erupted.

The monster shattered the ground beneath its feet, charging at Mord like a cannonball, while swinging its fist—the size of a sand pot—in a fierce strike.

Mord reacted swiftly, bringing his sword up to block.

"Clang!"

A loud metallic clang resounded.

Mord's body was sent flying backward four or five meters, leaving a long drag mark on the solid concrete ground.

In the first direct clash between man and monster, a contest of pure strength.

Mord was at a disadvantage.

Though Mord wasn't a Nen user specialized in strength, at his level of power, his Enhancement abilities were far from weak.

Yet, the opponent had briefly overpowered him, proving its extraordinary nature.

Federation of Ochima Military Base.

Colonel Stephen watched the footage on the monitor as if witnessing something unbelievable.

This was the first time he had seen anyone withstand the Tyrant's attack head-on.

The Federation of Ochima military regarded their highest research achievement as the cornerstone of their future dominion, thus naming it the Tyrant.

Even among the military ranks, there were Enhancement-type Nen users, yet during previous tests, one had been pulverized into mincemeat by a single punch from the Tyrant.

The man before them was undoubtedly among the elite of the Hunter Association—such prowess was far beyond what an ordinary One-Star Hunter could achieve.

Yet the documents in his hands contained scarce information about Mord.

He'd been a hunter for less than a year?…

A monster—another monster!

...

On the battlefield.

The Tyrant froze momentarily, clearly not expecting anyone to survive its fist.

It roared furiously.

Charging at Mord again like a heavy tank.

As Mord faced this enemy, a figure suddenly came to mind—Uvogin!

This monstrosity resembled an unhinged Uvogin. Back in Yorknew, Mord had struck Uvogin dead with a single lightning bolt, leaving no chance for a proper duel. Now, fate had been kind, granting Mord another opportunity.

Mord leaped lightly, evading the Tyrant's charge. Mid-air, he watched as the Tyrant below crashed through a two-story villa, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

The villa couldn't withstand the Tyrant's impact, collapsing with a thunderous rumble amid clouds of dust. A massive flail came swinging through the debris.

Crack!

Gegetsuburi slammed hard into the Tyrant's chest, a crisp sound ringing through the air. The exoskeleton protecting its body shattered instantly, and its massive frame was sent flying backward.

Excellent—Gegetsuburi's destructive power was enough to break through its defenses.

Mid-air, Mord poised to strike again when a tremendous force yanked him forward via the chain, his body hurtling uncontrollably.

The Tyrant, while being thrown back, had seized the flail and now pulled fiercely, dragging Mord down from the air.

Thud!

Mord's body smashed hard into the ground.

Relentless, the Tyrant swung the chain sideways—another deafening crash as Mord's body demolished a wall.

Just as the Tyrant prepared to continue, a terrifying surge of lightning shot along the chain toward it.

Scorched by the electric assault, the Tyrant let out agonized groans.

Unlike the lowest-tier zombie monsters, these evolved beings had regained the sensation of pain.

Seizing the moment, Mord tugged forcefully, reclaiming control of Gegetsuburi.

"Thunder God's Hammer!"

The lightning-charged flail pummeled the Tyrant in a storm of relentless blows.

Cracks spread across the Tyrant's hardened exoskeleton before it fragmented, exposing vulnerable muscle beneath.

In mere moments.

The Tyrant's once fearsome, colossal form was battered beyond recognition by the Thunder God's Hammer.

Yet, it clung to a sliver of life. Marveling at these creatures' tenacity, Mord swung the Thunder God's Hammer once more, crushing its skull to pulp.

Only then did the Tyrant truly perish.

The scene was a bloody wreck.

Mord sheathed his blade and brushed the dust from his clothes.

After these days of combat, he had basically assessed the combat capabilities of these monsters.

Ordinary zombie creatures posed no threat to him no matter how numerous they were.

Unless millions surrounded him while he was in a situation where he couldn't evade or rest, forcing him to confront them head-on.

Lickers were slightly more troublesome, but essentially couldn't threaten him either.

Mord glanced at the Tyrant smashed into pulp in the distance and frowned.

To be honest, this Tyrant's strength already surpassed that of most Nen users. If there were enough of them, they could pose a lethal threat to Mord.

Mord didn't know how many Tyrants the Federation of Ochima had produced through their experiments in Tolgon City.

One had to remember that Tolgon City was just a small city.

If Tyrants were truly mass-produced in the future, they would become an extremely formidable military force.

This thought made Mord somewhat concerned.

Mord wouldn't be surprised by anything the leaders of V5 countries might do.

He needed to report this intelligence to old man Netero immediately...
