Outside the food factory, Mercer circled around and chose an appropriate spot to launch the drone.
The Winged Dragon drone soared high and soon disappeared into the sky, utilizing its super high-resolution camera to scan the food factory's security setup for Mercer.
The food factory looked somewhat rundown, surrounded by tall walls with barbed wire, with only two large gates at the front and back for entry.
Inside the walls, there were dedicated security booths, fixed turrets, concealed folding turrets, and the Vortex Gang's chaotic assortment of parked vehicles.
Several of the Vortex Gang thugs were just outside the factory, gathered in small groups, smoking, drinking, and playing cards.
Mercer counted, just outside the perimeter were sixteen Vortex Gang members drinking and playing cards, while the security booths at the front and back gates each had only one person inside responsible for watching the gates and monitors.
V and Rebecca couldn't see the drone's perspective, so they could only stay vigilant with their weapons.
On the way here, they heard Mercer mention a brief overview of the mission to 'rescue the pirate Batman'. Mercer didn't elaborate on how he knew about this 'Night Shadow Hero'; he just said he accidentally found out online.
Upon hearing that there was such a man in Night City claiming to be the 'Night Shadow Hero', who ventured out at night to combat criminals, V and Rebecca were deeply intrigued.
Especially when Mercer told them that this 'Night Shadow Hero' drove around in a customized Sword in the Stone supercar while dispensing vigilante justice, their interest peaked.
The supercar named 'Sword in the Stone' isn't sold in games for cheap like that.
In the Cyberpunk World, the 'Reyfield' brand, almost synonymous with luxury cars, produces supercars that could be regarded as the 'Lamborghini' of the Cyberpunk World.
Even the regular production model of the Sword in the Stone has a price tag of 3-5 million Euros, not to mention that buyers of this car almost always request custom modifications.
If it's a limited edition Sword in the Stone customized in every aspect from the interior outward, the price can soar to a range of 7-12 million Euros.
Driving such a pricey car out to be a 'superhero'?
The cost of repainting a destroyed section of the car could buy ten bulletproof modified second-hand Mykino cars!
This guy must be loaded... V's eyes gleamed as she began to fantasize about how much money they could get after rescuing him.
"Alright, I've basically figured out the situation. We still need to find a way to get in through the back gate. I'll hack through the wall to take down the guy in the security booth, then continue to hack into their booth's computer and hook into the security network here."
After Mercer finished speaking, he paused, looking at the two girls staring at him, continuing, "I'll mark the Vortex Gang at the back gate with the camera, so you can perceive them through your Prosthetic Eye.
Deal with the targets I've marked quietly and discreetly, then I'll figure out how to get into the factory."
"No problem, leave it to us, sisters!" V smiled and flexed her hands, while Rebecca pursed her lips and said, "Then I'll watch from behind, if you mess up, I'll open fire."
With Sianwistan, there's no doubt that V was the best choice for executing such an assassination.
"Don't worry, any tough ones to handle, I'll directly hack their heads."
Mercer sat in the back seat of the van, took off his jacket, wearing only Black Customer Service, and pointed at his head with a smile.
V sat in the driver's seat, "We're driving straight over?"
"Yes, stop near the back gate against the wall. Once you park the car, the guy in the security booth will be dealt with by me."
Mercer said confidently.
With the support of prosthetics, even with the modifications the Vortex Gang's crazy bunch might have, he wasn't afraid of any Military-use ICE they might install.
Electronic countermeasures rely first on software, second on hardware.
At the Vortex Gang's level, whatever hardware they cobble together couldn't possibly match the professional ICE countermeasures Mercer hacked inside a Behemoth Armored Vehicle.
Even though Mercer relied somewhat on hacking cars at the time, they couldn't install countermeasure devices as big as the ones in a Behemoth inside themselves.
Probably only someone as extensively modified as Adam's Hammer could possibly have a professional-grade military ICE device installed within their body.
V didn't hesitate and followed Mercer's instructions, driving toward the factory's back gate. As she slowed the car down near it, the factory's security camera quickly turned to her car.
But just a second later, that camera suddenly drooped down.
Mercer's Prosthetic Eye flashed with light, his back buzzing, but after just three seconds, he spoke casually, "Ready to step out and deploy."
Without wasting words, V pulled out a short blade, "No need to hold back this time, right?"
"Where did you get that?" Mercer was taken aback, "No need to hold back. Killing all those Vortex Gang idiots could be unjustified, but there are bound to be some that you miss if you kill every other one. Take action.
But I still don't want to be on Vortex Gang's radar, fighting those maniacs head-on, so let's eliminate them discreetly, leaving them clueless about who's responsible even when they die."
V chuckled, running her fingers lightly over the short blade in her hand, "Picked it up from the Military Science shop yesterday, extraordinarily sharp. Until I install the Mantis Blade, I'm transitioning with this thing."
