Chapter 477 - Chapter 155: What Is Nirvana

Cobra retorted, "No, leader, it's not over yet. I still hear the sound of light struggling to survive."

The leader turned and left, saying without looking back, "In that case, I'll go activate Nirvana. Leave this place to you guys, don't let these people get in the way."

"Yes." Even if the opponent had a member of the Ten Wizard Saints, they were fearless.

...

Rhode and Mira soon found Ailiger's whereabouts and brought him and a new group of subordinates back to the Cat Transformation Inn before dark.

"Back so soon?" Carla looked at the string of wild creatures acting as porters, focusing on the white-haired man called Ailiger.

He had sunken cheeks as if punched, and a noticeable dent on his chest, with several ribs likely broken.

Carla asked in confusion, "Wasn't he said to be skilled in assassination, a very strong and dangerous man? And he's so badly injured."

Rhode replied puzzled, "I don't know why, this guy, after seeing us, didn't run and instead taunted about needing two heads or something, then charged at us with his men... Mira and I had no choice but to beat them up."

Mira added, "Because he's a dangerous person, I went a bit heavy-handed."

She felt a bit embarrassed because she had always presented a gentle big sister image in front of Wendy and Carla.

Wendy looked at the dozen or so injured people and asked uncertainly, "Should I help heal them?"

Rhode said, "Don't waste your magic power, they're all bad people, as long as they don't die, it's fine."

Actually, it didn't matter if they died; Ailiger's bounty task allowed for them to be dead or alive.

It's just that letting them die at the Cat Transformation Inn would be somewhat inappropriate.

Carla asked again, "What are you planning to do with them, you're not going to take them back to the Guild, are you?"

"Tonight, we can only temporarily keep them here. Tomorrow, I'll try to contact the Council, and if that doesn't work, I might really have to take Ailiger back."

There's no worry about them waking up and causing trouble; Mira can ensure they sleep soundly and can't be woken up even if shouted at.

Carla was somewhat disdainful of these guys but didn't refuse.

Wendy checked their injuries to make sure they wouldn't die, then didn't help heal them.

"Wait, wait!" Carla suddenly responded, "They all have the same mark on them, you two, did you wipe out an entire Guild?"

"It's just a small Guild of about a dozen people. A few days ago, I took out a Guild with over 40 people."

Rhode waved his hand as if it was nothing, looking all calm and breezy, but was actually sneaking glances at Carla's reaction.

The shocked expression of the cat was truly amusing.

Actually, he thought with Wendy's current magic power, she might be able to do it too, though Ailiger would be an exception since he not only knew Wind Magic but also had rich combat experience and wielded a large scythe very skillfully.

Wendy against Ailiger would most likely be in trouble.

"Amazing!" Wendy's eyes were filled with nothing but admiration, "Do Sister Mira and Brother Rhode usually take on such dangerous tasks?"

Mira explained, "Not really, usually we take on very ordinary tasks in the town, like helping move houses or using magic to create a romantic atmosphere for dates."

"It's mostly because of our President, he..." Rhode started gossiping about their President to Wendy, knowing she wouldn't spread it, telling some embarrassing stories about the President wouldn't go beyond them.

After 'settling' the members of the New Iron Forest, Rhode and Mira chatted with Wendy for a while and learned that she seemed to have some issues with magic, so they accompanied her to practice Dragon Slayer Magic.

Carla watched for a while and then went back to prepare dinner.

Until the sun set, the three practicing in the yard finally stopped to rest and went to take a shower.

Rhode, being faster, quietly sat drinking tea after coming out.

Mira and Wendy went together, so they were slower, and when they returned, Wendy looked a bit dazed as if she had lost her soul.

Carla looked worried for a moment, and after thinking, she understood the reason, explaining to Mira, "Don't worry, she'll be fine soon. I think... if you sleep with us tonight, Wendy will almost be used to it."

"?" Mira, usually understanding, couldn't understand what Carla meant this time.

There was nothing she could do, as she hadn't cared about such things in her irritable period and naturally understood everything when she was old enough, so she couldn't empathize with Wendy.

Rhode tried talking about things in the Guild to divert Wendy's attention. Mira went to the kitchen to help.

When the aroma of the food wafted out, Wendy's mood improved slightly, but as she was about to pick up a teacup to drink, she noticed the water surface in the cup was vibrating slightly.

"What's wrong?" Wendy looked at Rhode in confusion; neither of them had touched the table just now.

Rhode noticed it too and quickly realized something was wrong, "Is the ground shaking? Will there be an earthquake around here?"

However, he wasn't too panicked, knowing that even in an earthquake, it wouldn't hurt him, and since most of the village houses were wooden, with a few being tents, escaping would be easy, with no major issues.

But Wendy shook her head, "There has never been an earthquake before."

The two quickly ruled out the possibility of an earthquake because the shaking happened rhythmically and was getting stronger.

Mira noticed the anomaly and came running out from the kitchen wearing an apron and holding a spoon, "What's happening?"

Carla followed closely behind, also looking puzzled.

"This feels like something huge is approaching." Rhode remembered the President, and when he turned into a Giant and ran, it felt similar.

Everyone rushed outside and looked around.

It was already dark, but they could still see a large shadow in the distance.

Carla, with possibly sharper eyesight at night, widened her eyes, "What is that?"

"Carla?" Wendy asked in confusion, "What do you see?"

"It's... a Giant spider, maybe a Giant crab, walking this way..." Carla said intermittently, "Every time a foot lands, this place shakes!"

Something that could cause such obvious tremors just by walking from such a distance, how big must its body be?

And why was that big thing coming to the Cat Transformation Inn? With such long legs, it probably wouldn't take long to reach.

Almost all the villagers stopped what they were doing, looking fearfully at the distant shadow.

Someone murmured in panic, "Nirvana... Nirvana is coming towards us... we..."

It seemed everyone in the village recognized the big thing.

Wendy's keen ears heard a nearby woman's self-talk, urgently getting on tiptoes to pop her head over her low wall to ask, "Magna, do you know what that is?"

"That's..."

"Fooled." President Robin Lu appeared in the yard without anyone knowing when, speaking in a deep voice, "Nirvana, that is our sin."

Wendy was startled, "President!"

Carla flew in front of Robin Lu and asked, "'Sin'? What is Nirvana?"

Robin Lu looked at Wendy, then at Rhode and Mira, sighed deeply, and looked at the shadow in the distance, saying:

"Nirvana is a powerful magic and an ultra-large moving city, a small country from 400 years ago."

The information in this sentence was too much, leaving everyone present stunned.

Being called a magic's name was understandable, but those last two sentences...

"City? Country?" Rhode pondered President Robin Lu's words, amazed, "You're saying... that thing moving towards us is a country?!"
