Two weeks since Victoria was arrested, since I won the board vote, and since Katherine said yes.
Two weeks of building the life we've been fighting for.
I'm standing in the Marvin Industries boardroom. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Manhattan. My city. My empire.
But this time, it's clean.
"Mr. Marvin, the quarterly reports are exceptional," Robert Gale says, sliding documents across the table. "Stock prices up eighteen percent. Investor confidence is at an all-time high."
I scan the numbers. Katherine taught me to see beyond the surface, to understand what the data really means.
"The hotel acquisition?" I ask.
"Back on the table. The investors who pulled out during the Victoria situation want back in, with better terms for us."
I lean back and allow myself a small smile. "Then let's make it happen, but I want full transparency. No shortcuts and no questionable partnerships. Everything legitimate."
