# Chapter 121: Accel Synchro, Shooting Star Dragon!
A small blue book materialized beside Bruno, shooting a gentle moonbeam toward Yūga Hōzumi's Stardust Dragon on the field.
Seeing this, Yūga Hōzumi gave a faint smile and twisted the throttle, pushing the D-Wheel's speed to its limit. The air split by the streamlined vehicle seemed to ignite, turning into a fiery red wake. The great white dragon kept pace with the D-Wheel, letting out a joyous roar.
Skill Activated: Clear Mind!
"I tune the Level 2 Formula Synchron with the Level 8 Stardust Dragon!"
Formula Synchron became two star rings, aligning before Stardust Dragon as if opening a gateway through time and space!

"The crystallized dreams gather to open a new gate of evolution! Become the path of shining light! Accel Synchro!! Be born, Level 10! Shooting Star Dragon!"
Bruno watched with wide eyes as the man and dragon in front of him went faster and faster until they vanished from his sight.
"Vanished?" Bruno stared blankly at the miraculous sight before him and muttered.
A moment later, a violent shockwave erupted from thin air behind Bruno. Yūga Hōzumi's fiery red D-Wheel and a great dragon with jet-like wings drove out from the void.
Following a resounding roar, the great dragon named Shooting Star soared into the heavens, leaving two long trails across the sky.

"This is... Accel Synchro?" Bruno's mouth was slightly agape as he muttered.
"Can you keep up with my speed, Bruno?" Yūga Hōzumi, who had appeared from behind, caught up with Bruno's D-Wheel again.
"Who exactly are you? Why do you know Accel Synchro?" Bruno, having regained his senses, quickly asked.
"Want to know who I am? Then try to keep up!" Yūga Hōzumi smiled and accelerated again.
"Don't underestimate me!" Bruno said, gritting his teeth as he stomped on the throttle and sped up to catch him.
"I summon the Tuner Monster, T.G. Propeller Serpent, in Attack Position!"
"Next, since I control a T.G. monster, I can Special Summon T.G. Booster Raptor from my hand!"
"I tune the Level 4 T.G. Propeller Serpent with the Level 1 T.G. Booster Raptor!"

"Limiters released, Level 5! Booster activation, okay! Tilt angle, okay! Ground support, all clear! Go! Synchro Summon! Come on! The Tuner Monster, T.G. Star Guardian!"

At the end of the starlit path piercing the night sky, Blade Gunner, clad in green armor, slowly descended, arriving beside Bruno.

Despite having the same Level and Attack as Shooting Star Dragon, for some reason, Bruno distinctly felt his monster's aura was weaker by a fraction.
"Is it because it's an Accel Synchro?" Bruno gritted his teeth. "Never mind. Even an Accel Synchro Monster isn't unbeatable."
"Since I control a T.G. monster, I activate the effect of T.G. Drill Fish in my hand! I Special Summon this card!" Bruno shook his head, clearing his thoughts, then played a card from his hand.

"I activate the Continuous Spell, TGX300! For each face-up 'T.G.' monster I control, all face-up monsters I control gain 300 ATK."

"Battle! T.G. Drill Fish can attack you directly! Go, Drill Fish!"
At Bruno's command, the small mechanical fish with a drill for a snout spun as it caught up to Yūga Hōzumi, ramming into him.

"A harmless little attack." The corner of Yūga Hōzumi's mouth lifted beneath his sunglasses.
"Is that so?" Bruno retorted. "At this moment, the effect of T.G. Drill Fish activates! When a 'T.G.' monster I control inflicts battle damage to my opponent, I can target one monster on their field and destroy it."
After its attack, Drill Fish didn't return to Bruno's side. Instead, it charged straight for the Shooting Star Dragon dancing in the air.
"Trying to use such petty tricks to get around my monster," Yūga Hōzumi said. "I activate Shooting Star Dragon's effect!"
"Once per turn, when an effect that would destroy a card on the field is activated, that effect is negated and destroyed."
Watching Drill Fish get closer and closer, the airborne Shooting Star Dragon let out a furious roar. A violent tornado formed beside the great dragon, shattering Drill Fish to pieces.
"What?!" Seeing his plan fail, Bruno was startled but quickly composed himself. "So it has a protection effect? However, thanks to the Continuous Spell TGX300, even though Drill Fish's destruction means the spell now only increases Blade Gunner's ATK by 300, it's still stronger than your monster."
"T.G. Blade Gunner, attack Shooting Star Dragon!"
A golden blade of light shot from the tip of the short spear in Blade Gunner's hand. The propulsion unit on its back ignited, and it surged toward Shooting Star Dragon in the air.
"I activate Shooting Star Dragon's effect! Once per turn, when an opponent's monster declares an attack, I can banish this card until the End Phase and negate the attack."
Facing the oncoming Blade Gunner, Shooting Star Dragon let out a long, clear cry before transforming into specks of starlight and vanishing on the wind. Blade Gunner's strike hit nothing but empty air, forcing it to return unsuccessful.
"Blocked again?" Bruno gritted his teeth. "Fine! I end my turn!"
"At this moment, Shooting Star Dragon returns to the field!" Yūga Hōzumi declared. Starlight gathered where the dragon had just vanished, and the great white beast once again danced upon the wind.
