# Chapter 233: I Came All This Way to a New World, and You Still Won't Leave Me Alone?
"Appear! Zexal Weapon - Wild Eagle Divine Claw!"
Lion Utopia Ray equipped! ATK: 2500 → 4500
"Battle! Zoodiac Drident, attack Cyber Eternity Dragon!"
"Attacking a 4000 DEF monster with one that only has 2800 ATK?" Ryo Marufuji was stunned.
The attacking Zoodiac Drident was instantly repelled by the mechanical holy dragon in the air, and Yūga Hōzumi took the backlash from the battle.
Yūga Hōzumi LP: 4000 → 2800
"At this moment, the effect of Zoodiac Drident, which has Zoodiac Whiptail as an Xyz Material, activates! After damage calculation when this card battles an opponent's monster, that monster is banished."
"What?" Ryo Marufuji exclaimed in surprise.
After being repelled, Zoodiac Drident threw the long spear in its hand toward the Cyber Eternity Dragon in the sky.
A Snake rune materialized in the air. After passing through the rune, the long spear became imbued with spatial energy.
Cyber Eternity Dragon possessed powerful resistance, making it untargetable and indestructible by card effects. However, this non-targeting banish effect was precisely outside its defensive range.
The long spear, imbued with spatial energy, landed on the mechanical holy dragon, and the surrounding space began to distort.
The Cyber Eternity Dragon let out a mournful cry before being sent to another dimension.
"F0: Utopic Draco Future, direct attack!"
Utopic Draco Future's dragon wings flashed. The longsword in its hand sparkled with starlight as it swung down toward Ryo Marufuji, whose field was empty.
"I activate the Counter Trap, Negate Attack! When an opponent's monster declares an attack, I can target that monster to negate the attack and end the Battle Phase."
"A Counter Trap?" Yūga Hōzumi frowned, looking at the shield of light blocking Utopic Draco Future. Although the equipped Wild Eagle Divine Claw could negate Trap activations, it didn't work on high-priority Spell Speed 3 Counter Traps.
"Then, I'll set two cards and end my turn." Yūga Hōzumi, whose Battle Phase had been forcibly ended, chose to set his cards and pass.
"My turn! Draw!" After drawing, Ryo Marufuji stared at Yūga Hōzumi for a moment before bursting into laughter. "Excellent! It's been a long time since anyone has fired me up for a duel like this!"
"I activate the Spell Card, Card of Sanctity! Both players draw until they have six cards in their hand!"
Yūga Hōzumi had just furiously drawn five cards with a single card. Not to be outdone, Ryo Marufuji played an ancient hand-replenishing artifact of his own.
"I activate the effect of the Spell, Cyber Repair Plant!"
"I'll add one LIGHT Machine monster from my Deck to my hand! I add Jizukiru, the Star Destroying Kaiju to my hand!"
Yūga Hōzumi: !!!!!!!!
Hearing Ryo Marufuji announce the name of the monster he searched, Yūga Hōzumi's heart sank in alarm.
What the hell is this? I came all this way to a new world, and you still won't leave me alone, right?!
Jizukiru, the Star Destroying Kaiju can be Special Summoned to the opponent's field in Attack Position by tributing one monster they control.
Crimson flames rose beneath Utopic Draco Future's feet. A ferocious mechanical beast emerged from the fire, swallowing Utopic Draco Future in one gulp.
Jizukiru, the Star Destroying Kaiju ATK: 3300
Yūga Hōzumi watched the monster that had unceremoniously appeared on his field with a pained expression. What's the meaning of this? It wasn't enough that the Sea Turtle sent me over here, and now you're coming to wipe me out completely?!
"I obtained this monster from a dojo in the Standard Dimension. It seems you recognize it, don't you?" Ryo Marufuji said with a smile.
Yūga Hōzumi: ...
Tell me where that dojo is. I'll definitely find a chance to go smash it to pieces.
Yūga Hōzumi grumbled inwardly. The current situation was far from optimistic. With Utopic Draco Future gone, all he had left was Zoodiac Drident's one-shot destruction and Lion Utopia Ray's targeted negation. It was highly uncertain if that was enough to withstand the terrifying offensive power of the Cyber Dragon deck.
"I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Mystical Space Typhoon! I target one Spell or Trap on the field and destroy it."
The Wild Eagle Divine Claw floating behind Lion Utopia Ray instantly shattered.
Alright, now only one destruction effect remains.
"I activate Cyber Dragon Core's effect in the Graveyard!"
"If my opponent controls a monster and I control none, I can banish this card from my Graveyard to Special Summon one 'Cyber Dragon' monster from my Deck."
"Appear! Cyber Dragon Herz!"
"When Cyber Dragon Herz is Special Summoned, its Level becomes 5 until the end of the turn!"
"I activate the Spell Card, Evolution Burst! If I control a face-up 'Cyber Dragon,' I can destroy one card on my opponent's field!"
The Cyber Dragon Herz in front of Ryo Marufuji began to discharge electricity, blasting toward Zoodiac Drident.
"Zoodiac Drident's effect activates! Once per turn, by detaching one Xyz Material from this card, I can target one face-up card on the field and destroy it!"
With a "if I'm going down, I'm taking you with me" mentality, Zoodiac Drident hurled its spear before being destroyed, annihilating Ryo Marufuji's Cyber Dragon Herz along with it.
"I summon Cyber Dragon Drei in Attack Position!"
"When I successfully summon a 'Cyber Dragon,' I can activate the effect of Cyber Dragon Vier in my hand! I Special Summon this card from my hand in Defense Position!"
"When Cyber Dragon Drei is summoned, the Levels of all 'Cyber Dragon' monsters I control become 5."
Cyber Dragon Vier LV: 4 → 5
Cyber Dragon Drei LV: 4 → 5
"I overlay my two Level 5 monsters!"
"O mechanical dragon of fear, forge a new future for the Cyber Style in a brand-new form! Xyz Summon! Rank 5, Cyber Dragon Nova!"
Within the vortex of stars, mechanical roars echoed continuously. Moments later, a mechanical dragon, its body entwined with dark red patterns, spread its wings and landed before Ryo Marufuji.
Cyber Dragon Nova ATK: 2100
"Once per turn, Cyber Dragon Infinity can also be Xyz Summoned by using a 'Cyber Dragon Nova' you control as material!"
"I'll overlay Cyber Dragon Nova once more!"
"O mechanical dragon that opened the gates of the future, in your final form, rain infinite fear upon my foe! Descend! Rank-Up Xyz Change! Rank 6, Cyber Dragon Infinity!"
A mechanical dragon wreathed in red lightning slowly descended before Ryo Marufuji, its streamlined body containing terrifying energy.
Cyber Dragon Infinity ATK: 2100
"Cyber Dragon Infinity gains 200 ATK for each of its Xyz Materials!"
Cyber Dragon Infinity ATK: 2100 → 2700
"I activate Cyber Dragon Infinity's effect! Once per turn, I can target one face-up Attack Position monster on the field and attach it to this card as an Xyz Material."
A bolt of lightning shot from Cyber Dragon Infinity's wings. It shattered the mechanical beast on Yūga Hōzumi's field and absorbed it, turning it into a new Xyz Material that hovered beside the dragon.
Cyber Dragon Infinity ATK: 2700 → 2900
