Power Systems in the Human Realm

"The strength of men lies not in sword or spell alone, but in the silent harmony between what is gifted, earned, and chosen."_Archivist-General Merenth Val Sionis

1. The Magical Core System

Definition: Every sentient being in the Human Realm possesses a magical core—a semi-organic organ that stores, filters, and channels aetheric energy. It may be either heart-encasing (surrounding the heart) or heart-embedded (fused within).

Structure & Traits:

Stream & Circuit Network: Functions like a magical nervous system, distributing energy throughout the body.

Affinity Colours in magical cores:

Red → Fire/Heat

Blue → Water/Ice

Grey→ Wind/Air

Green→ Earth/Nature

Yellow → Lightning

White → Light

Black → Shadow/Darkness

Purple → Arcane/Mind

Pink → Spirit/Emotion

Core Size:

Small → modest power, basic spellwork (5–10%)

Medium → stable magic output, capable mages (15–25%)

Large → high-tier magic potential, rare elites (~5%)

Notes:

Awakening Potential: 80–90% of humans possess dormant cores; only 10–20% awaken.

Risks: Overuse may rupture the stream network, causing mana sickness/overload, which causes chronic illness in the long run.

Enhancement: Can be strengthened through training, artefacts, or alchemical augmentation.

Bloodline Influence: The stronger the awakened individual, the higher the chances that their offspring form an equal core or around the same strength level. On the rare occasions, the offspring might get a stronger and or more durable core.

Dual Cores: Exist but are countable, very rare and highly valued. Often snatched or adopted into noble families. Only occurs within matching attributes. Classification by Attribute Groups is as follows:

Red / Yellow = Offensive group

Blue / Green / Grey = Control group

Black / Purple / Pink = Influence group

2. The Weapon Aura System

Definition:

The Weapon Aura System refers to a form of internal energy produced through discipline, endurance, and battle instinct. Unlike magical cores, aura is not inherited but forged.

It's a manifestation of will honed through combat.

It enhances strength, reflexes, precision, and awareness, adapting to the weapon or fighting style of its user. Warriors, archers, assassins, and even monks can awaken aura through years of training and mental alignment.

Rank Progression & Likelihood:

Novice Aura (≈50%) — Minor physical boosts; standard soldiers.

Disciple Aura (≈30%) — Enhanced reflexes; skilled fighters.

Adept Aura (≈15%) — Amplified strikes; elite guards or duelists.

Expert Aura (≈4%) — Predictive combat sense; captains or champions.

Master Aura (≈0.9%) — Seamless body-weapon flow; heroes or guild elites.

Grandmaster Aura (≈0.1%) — Aura visible to others; near-legendary presence.

Notes:

Aura development depends on discipline and intuition; it cannot be triggered by bloodline or divine influence.

Exceptional individuals may merge aura with awakened cores, forming hybrid combatants.

Dual Auras: Exist but are countable, very rare and highly valued. Often snatched or adopted into noble families. It is more common than a dual mana core but still rare enough to be popular. Any combination can work provided you are proficient.

3. The Divine System

Definition: Divine Boons and Blessings are sacred endowments bestowed by gods, spirits, or higher entities upon mortals of exceptional fate.

Power manifests as divine streams flowing through the bloodstream; distinct from core circuits yet often interlinked.

Categories & Occurrence:

Minor Blessing (≈1–2%): Subtle physical or magical enhancement. Faster healing abilities.

Major Blessing (≈0.1–0.5%): Heroic-tier power, spiritual protection, improved healing and health, minor healing abilities on one person at a time, ie, cuts, bruises, simple diseases.

Unique Destiny Boon (<0.05%): Singular small-scale miracles, destiny-altering potential. Near infinite healing abilities, more complex wounds and diseases, can heal five to ten people at once.

Saint Level Boon (Once per generation): Large-scale miracles, minor blessings bestower. Large-scale healing. Heals people near death with high fatality risk.

Notes:

Triggered by valour, devotion, or divine favour.

Can reinforce or rarely destabilise dormant cores, leading to spontaneous awakenings or corruption if unworthy.

The stronger your boon/blessing giver from the light realm, the stronger your power is.
