Seeing that Ryūga remained silent, Nakamura Azami continued:

"You should understand the general idea, Ryūga!"

"Dojima-senpai and Saiba-senpai really hope you can achieve something great at the school festival!"

"So you need to work hard!"

"Most of the Elite Ten members will probably set up their shops in the high-platform area for this year's school festival, so that it won't affect the two battlefields of the central area and the corridor area!"

"The two people who achieve the best sales results in the Central District or the Corridor District can be promoted to the Top Ten along with the student who ranked first in the junior high school's advancement assessment. So at that time, not only you junior high school students, but even the students in the first, second and even third years of high school will probably be restless."

"This year's school festival will turn into a massive battlefield in which almost everyone will be drawn in!"

"How far we can go depends on your performance, Ryūga..."

"Based on the principle of fairness and impartiality, even though we are all members of Polar Star Dormitory, I cannot offer you any help. The same goes for Senior Saiba and Senior Dōjima!"

"Therefore, this will be the most realistic testing ground for individual combat skills..."

Ryūga chatted with Nakamura Azami for a while before returning to his room.

Since senior students Dojima and Saiba value me so much, and have even made so many changes so that I can rise to the top as soon as possible, I naturally cannot let them down.

Therefore, I need to work even harder to improve my culinary skills.

Ryūga sat at his desk and began to read the beginner cooking training guide provided by the system.

The book roughly divides culinary skills into two stages.

First, there is the theoretical foundation; second, there is the practical application.

My current stage is still within the realm of theoretical foundations.

By chatting with Mr. Theo, the teacher provided by the system, Ryūga roughly guessed the areas involved in culinary theory.

Professor Theo's knowledge focuses on the origins, development, and evolution of cuisines from various countries, while Professor Harun's knowledge focuses on the cooking utensils used in the cooking process of various countries and how to use them.

Besides, there are still many sections that I haven't learned yet and need to work hard to learn.

The techniques used in cooking around the world, the origins and harvesting of food, the use of spices, color coordination in dishes, and the complementary and incompatible properties of food combinations...

Upon reaching this point, Ryūga realized that he had only covered five percent of the theoretical knowledge required.

This growth rate is a bit too slow.

Ryūga sighed. Three months had passed, and he'd only made five percent of the progress.

For anyone else, that would be phenomenal progress, but for him, the biggest weakness was his lack of practical skills.

The time until he was promoted to high school was drawing to a close, and if he continued along the usual path, he'd likely still be a complete novice in practical skills by the time the entrance exams took place…

It seems that, apart from the learning time stipulated by the system, he need to work hard to improve my practical skills in the rest of the time.

As for how to improve, I'll ask Teacher Harun when he have time tonight and see what suggestions he has.
