Chapter 9 - Chapter 2: Summoned (part 6)

//Notification

The Dark Lord entity summoned by Contract with the Dark World seems to faithfully respond to a story Cherubim Uriel//

"Eh?, in that case, I want you to help me with those over there, it seems they're raising a powerful barrier that prevents me from attacking that old man over there, you handle that and I'll take care of the shining old man."

"As you command, my lord."

—Seems like he is obedient.

And then... everything changed.

Dark Lord snapped his fingers, and his form began to become more refined. The dark hair evaporated like ash, revealing a sculpted figure with clear, smooth skin. The third eye on his forehead closed and disappeared, as did the dark mist that surrounded him. His hair-like horns blended seamlessly with the rest of his mane, now perfectly combed, each color falling on its respective side.

With an elegant movement of his hand, he conjured his attire: a white three-piece suit, perfectly fitted. A black shirt beneath the white vest, and over his shoulders, a long white coat, not worn through the sleeves but draped like a cloak of demonic nobility. On his right hand, he wore a white glove, while the left was bare, his hands pale and slender.

His eyes, once dark with ruby-like irises, were now completely white, with deep red irises like embers in the snow. This change didn't soften his presence but rather elevated it to a different level.

Dark Lord stood upright naturally, unhurried, with indescribable confidence, as if the task his master had given him was as simple as taking out the trash.

And although he now looked like an immortal noble, everyone present knew that what they had seen before... that creature from the abyss... was still there, beneath that new elegant appearance.

Due to this new event, the battle intensified. The Church was now facing Uriel and a horde of demons from the Dark World. However, the surprise wasn't only for those terrified members of the Church, the world deity of Vitalium watched with perplexed and confused eyes while shouting:

"What is this? What did that being send to my world? I curse him... no, I curse both of them!"

Then, the clash of the scythe with the Cardinal's staff resounded through all the heavens, and flashes of light and darkness could be seen everywhere, as the two continued fighting. The inhabitants of the town and nearby places could see the incredible spectacle unfolding in the sky.

[Prismatic Ray] —Activated by the Cardinal

One of the Cardinal's attacks managed to hit Uriel.

"You and your demons are no match for our Lord. I'll send you back to your filthy underworld, Demon King Uriel. Let me show you the power of God... Power of World Domination!"

[Hole of Light] —Activated by the Cardinal

//Danger

A power capable of ending the existence of a story Cherubim Uriel has been detected, it is recommended to avoid the attack.//

In the sky above Uriel, a black hole opened with a completely white and luminous event horizon that absorbed everything nearby. Uriel struggled greatly to hold his position. The force of that ability was such that even many of the beings from both the Dark World and the Church were pulled in.

"I can't hold on...".

[World Chain]

He managed to hold onto those chains to avoid being swallowed by the Cardinal's ability, while using them to restrain the Cardinal to stop him from maintaining the spell.

[Electric Sonata]

Uriel managed to hit him with one of the lightning strikes from the ability and then secured him with the World Chain. This caused the spell to be canceled due to the weakness effect and MP drain of the World Chain.

"Damn demon. all those abilities..."

"This will be your end, you filthy old man."

[Lethality]

Uriel took his scythe, and some of the Church members tried to reach him to stop what was about to happen. But with one swift motion of his scythe, he broke through the barrier and struck the Cardinal, slicing him in half.

Everyone fell silent. Kimal, who was still alive and had been fighting against the demons summoned by Uriel, began to tremble, his eyes shaking, his teeth clattering, and the expression of fear on his face was evident. He tried to flee the place, but Dark Lord caught him immediately.

"Where do you think you're going, filthy worm?... I see you're trying to offend me by thinking you can escape in my presence."

Dark Lord grabbed Kimal by the neck and pulled him close to his face, saying:

"I want you to watch closely the fate of your kind... All of you demons, tear them all apart, we must finish quickly to complete our task."

The summoned demons entered a frenzy that made them fight with incredible savagery; one by one, the Church's faithful and the remaining paladins were massacred by the demons, being cleaved in half even when they tried to block with their swords... And soon, the battlefield was stained with the blood of the Church's faithful.

"My lord, I have brought you this one, please accept him."

Dark Lord appeared near Uriel, holding Kimal by the neck, and threw him at Uriel's feet.

"Please forgive my life, please, let me live, please, I'll give you money, I'll do whatever you want, I'll serve you however you wish, I promise I'll be useful to you."

"Mnnh, I see... I'll accept your offer."

Dark Lord couldn't help but glance at Uriel, not understanding why he seemed to accept the pleas of this individual who wasn't significantly strong.

"Do you really mean that? Thank you, thank you so much, sir."

"You said you promised you'd be useful to me, right?"

"Eh?"

Uriel took his scythe and, with one swing, separated Kimal's head from his body.

[Prince of Greed]

"Prince of Greed, devour everything I have reaped here, leave nothing behind."

At this surprising act of Uriel, Dark Lord couldn't help but let out a satisfied smile, as if his greatest wish had been granted.

After analyzing the improvements, he was able to assimilate them, so he deactivated the abilities, causing the sky to return to normal.

Kneeling before Uriel were the demons summoned with the ability Contract with the Dark World.

"My lord, forgive my insolence, but I have a request from all of them and from myself in particular. My lord... may we stay by your side? This seems like the birth of a being worthy of ruling us, and I would not want to miss the opportunity to be ruled by someone truly worthy."

"You have no problem with that?"

Uriel asked, slightly surprised by Dark Lord's unexpected request, to which he shook his head.

"Very well, however, I cannot take all of you."

"There's no need, my lord, they will return to the Dark World and will be summoned whenever you desire."

"That's fine with me."

—It'll probably be beneficial for me if I can summon the same ones, experience matters, so those with more experience will fight much better, and besides, if I can prevent someone from trying to kill me.

Then, the achromatic inhabitants of the Colorless Town, who were watching hidden from the walls in the distance, shouted in victory and joy that echoed all the way to where Uriel and the others were.

"Look everyone, he managed to win!"

Dark Lord, with a surprised expression, thought about the joy his now lord inspired in others, watching the happy faces everyone wore.

—I must serve him well.— thought Dark Lord, while smiling.

In the firmament, the god Chrom was nervously pacing back and forth.

"Those were some of my best pieces, should I negotiate with him?... what am I saying? I am a god. Besides, I still have that... you will pay for this, foolish Cherubim."
