Chapter 20 - 20

Meng Ran, after a good night's sleep, woke up from his bed and turned off the alarm.

Today is Friday, and after classes, it's the weekend again!

Meng Ran brushed his teeth and washed his face, all while thinking about his weekend plans.

Ur has been dealt with; next up are the other members of the Crocodile Gang.

This weekend is a good opportunity, but he doesn't know when they will gather together.

When he thought of this plan, Meng Ran was a bit too optimistic. The Crocodile Gang members aren't brainless; why would they gather at a time like this, waiting for him to come and chop them down?

Thinking about it now, it was indeed not very rigorous. He still has to use the slow method, a bit more troublesome, solving them one by one.

"Alas~ I was too naive, too rash," Meng Ran spat out the foam from his mouth and went downstairs for breakfast.

After breakfast, Meng Ran slung his backpack over his shoulder and rode his bicycle to school.

Meng Ran usually rides his bicycle to school when there's nothing special going on; it's more convenient, and since his body is in good shape, he considers it exercise.

After arriving at school and parking his bicycle, Meng Ran strolled towards the classroom.

"Hey! Meng, wait for me," Peter called out to Meng Ran from behind him.

Meng Ran turned around and saw Peter walking over with his backpack, accompanied by a handsome white man whose looks were only slightly inferior to his own.

Peter walked closer and introduced him to Meng Ran: "Meng, this is my friend Harry. He's also in our class, but he was abroad for a while and just returned."

"Harry, this is Meng, he just transferred this semester, and he's also a good friend of mine."

Listening to Peter's introduction, Meng Ran extended his hand and smiled, "Hello, my name is Meng Ran."

Harry, equally well-mannered, extended his hand to Meng Ran and smiled, "Hi, I'm Harry Osborn."

After their introductions, the three walked towards the classroom together.

Initially, Harry felt a faint hostility when he heard Peter say that Meng Ran was his good friend.

However, Meng Ran's humor, wit, and easygoing nature soon made Harry's slight hostility dissipate into the wind.

"Heh, I'm a social butterfly!" Meng Ran thought to himself while chatting and laughing with them.

Harry's slight oddity, of course, did not escape Meng Ran's eyes.

But this was also normal, and Meng Ran didn't take it to heart.

This kind of thing is unavoidable for anyone. Harry had just been abroad for a while and returned to find his good buddy Peter had found another 'dog'.

It's normal to have a little emotion.

Meng Ran and the others walked and chatted.

Peter enthusiastically told Harry, "Harry, don't let Meng look like a gentle little white rabbit; he's actually very fierce."

"You remember Flash, right? The tall, muscular guy who doesn't look very smart."

Harry raised an eyebrow and said, "Of course I remember! Did he bully you again while I was gone?"

Peter said, "Of course not, that's exactly what I'm going to say, Meng Ran taught him a good lesson."

Meng Ran, listening nearby, smiled and waved his hand.

Harry, however, was surprised. He really hadn't expected that the sunny, handsome, and very polite Meng Ran would teach Flash such a harsh lesson.

To be honest, Harry didn't even think Meng Ran could beat that big muscle-head. Although Meng Ran also looked quite strong, there was still a bit of a gap compared to Flash, who was all muscle.

Of course, Harry himself couldn't beat Flash. Flash didn't provoke Harry only because of Harry's family background.

Seeing the surprised Harry, Peter's chatterbox opened even wider.

He gestured wildly as he told Harry about Meng Ran and Flash's "friendly exchange."

From the conflict to the basketball court challenge, then to Meng Ran's crazy shooting display, and even the dunk that shattered the backboard.

Meng Ran himself listened with great interest.

Mainly because Peter's storytelling ability was indeed strong.

Meng Ran even felt it was a pity that Peter's mouth wasn't used for crosstalk, if he knew Chinese.

Peter even showed Harry the online video. Harry, who initially thought Peter was exaggerating, was truly convinced after watching the video.

It wasn't Peter's narration that was exaggerated; the facts themselves were just that eye-catching.

Harry instantly had a new understanding of Meng Ran. This sunny, handsome, thick-browed, big-eyed guy could also be so fierce.

Meng Ran also touched his head, smiling shyly.

This Peter is really something, always telling the plain truth, not modest at all, making Meng Ran feel embarrassed.

As they chatted, they arrived at the classroom, and the few of them separated, returning to their respective seats.

Meng Ran sat down and saw Gwen next to him, weakly slumped over her desk.

Meng Ran asked concerned, "Hey! Gwen, what's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"

Gwen turned her head, looked at the slightly worried Meng Ran, and reassured him, "I'm fine, I just have a stomachache."

Actually, yesterday's injury was still throbbing faintly.

After speaking, Gwen also sat up, picked up the drink Mary Jane had brought her, and took a sip.

Looking at the uncomfortable Gwen, Meng Ran also felt a little strange.

Meng Ran looked at the date again and calculated the days.

"It's not that time of the month yet."

Meng Ran, still puzzled, rummaged through his bag and pulled out a bottle of water. He handed it to Gwen.

Rummaging in his bag was just to hide what he was doing; Meng Ran had actually bought a bottle of Refreshing Water from the system store.

This water is like Huoxiang Zhengqi water; it can relieve anything and has some effect on everything.

But it's only a little effect, after all, Meng Ran doesn't know the specific symptoms.

Gwen took the water, looking at Meng Ran with a bit of confusion.

Meng Ran explained, "I don't know how to help you, but this water should make you feel a little better."

Gwen then opened it and started drinking, as it was Meng Ran's kind gesture.

The water had no taste; it was just normal water. If there was anything different, it was that the water was a bit sweet.

It was also quite delicious and very thirst-quenching.

After a few sips of water, Gwen was surprised to find that her stomach really didn't hurt as much anymore.

Gwen exclaimed, "It really works! I feel much better."

"Thank you, Meng." After saying that, Gwen gave Meng Ran a sweet smile.

Meng Ran also smiled, "Good that it works, I have more here."

After saying that, Meng Ran pretended to rummage through his bag again, pulled out two more bottles of Refreshing Water, and handed them to Gwen.

Gwen didn't stand on ceremony, thanked him again, and took the water, putting it in her bag.

Meng Ran winked at Gwen and smiled, "Why are you so polite today, Sichuan girl?"

"Instead of so much thanks, why not give me a reward?"

Gwen, hearing Meng Ran tease her, couldn't help but feel a little shy. She glared at him playfully and said, "Hmph! I was just a little distracted."

"You're definitely up to no good again, no reward!"

Seeing Gwen regain her vitality, Meng Ran also relaxed and resumed his daily playful banter and emotional exchange with Gwen.

Peter in front, hearing the laughter from behind him, also felt something.

"Should I also learn from Meng Ran and communicate my feelings with Mary Jane?"

Peter pondered, looking at Mary Jane, who was currently bent over, writing and drawing.

A moment later, Peter, having made up his mind, spoke to Mary Jane.

"Hey! Mary Jane, how's that dinosaur egg I gave you last time? Has it cracked yet?"
